Abstract

The great influence of technological developments on many aspects of life, among others, is seen in major changes in economic, social, and political processes, and even the world of education. As experienced by the College of XX, an organization engaged in the world of education. The implementation of information technology products such as applications has been carried out, but it was found that during the development period until now, the College of XX has never measured the level of organizational maturity in the software development process, so the organization cannot know what system performance is like, and what kind of feedback from users include students, lecturers, education staff on the performance of the system they have. Therefore, it is necessary to measure the level of organizational maturity in the software development process using the CMMI-Dev method. Based on the 22 process areas offered by CMMI-Dev, then adjustments are made to the process area with the system that is owned, the process area in question is Product Integration (PI) or Product Integration and Validation (VAL) or Validation. After conducting the Gap Analysis, it was found that the maturity level (maturity) is 3.5 with a nominal gap value of 0.5 and the percentage gap value of 50% is the lowest Gap, it is concluded that the organizational maturity level is currently at level 2. This means that the process has been planned and carried out in accordance with existing policies, and the human resources employed are skilled in their fields and have other adequate resources. However, in its application, there are still domains that must be improved and improved in order to reach the maximum level. It is recommended to implement the SOP and always evaluate whether the process has behaved consistently and stably.

Abstract

Digital marketing training for MSMEs in Kuala Jambi aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of MSME players in utilizing digital platforms and reaching a broader market. This activity involves a series of tailored training sessions designed to empower MSMEs with essential digital marketing skills. The method includes practical exercises on planning and implementing digital marketing strategies conducted by MSME owners participating in the training. The results of this activity offer valuable insights into the effectiveness of digital marketing training in expanding the market reach of MSMEs. The practical implications of this initiative provide a foundation for local governments, training institutions, and other stakeholders to develop more effective and sustainable training programs to support MSME growth in the digital era.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the digital competence and creativity of elementary school teachers in Jambi City through training in making teaching modules using the Canva platform. The main problem faced by teachers is the limited ability to design digital teaching materials that are attractive and in accordance with the demands of the Independent Curriculum. The training was held at SD Negeri 176 Jambi City on July 30, 2025 with interactive lectures, direct demonstrations, and independent practice. Participants consisted of elementary school teachers from several schools in Jambi City. Training materials include an introduction to Canva, the basic principles of educational graphic design, the creation of learning outcomes-based learning modules, and the publication of design results. Evaluation is carried out through pre-test and post-test, observation of participant activities, and assessment of the digital teaching module products produced. The results of the evaluation showed a significant improvement in participants' understanding and skills, with more than 90% of participants experiencing an increase in scores, and 85% stating that they would use Canva regularly in the preparation of teaching materials. In addition, participants showed high enthusiasm and produced teaching modules that were creative and contextual to the needs of students. This activity contributes to strengthening pedagogic competence, digital literacy, and learning innovation in the basic education environment, as well as being a concrete step to support the digital transformation of education in Jambi City.

Abstract

REST APIs are the backbone of data communication in the Internet of Things (IoT)-based edge computing ecosystem because they are lightweight and flexible. However, the REST architecture's openness and the edge devices' limited resources give rise to security challenges such as MITM, spoofing, and replay attacks. This study aims to identify the key challenges of REST API security in IoT edge environments, evaluate the limitations of conventional solutions such as TLS and RSA/ECDSA algorithms, and explore the potential of Post-Quantum Signature-based digital authentication approaches (PQS). Through a comprehensive narrative literature review of 43 peer-reviewed publications (2020-2025), this research reveals two key findings: the results show that TLS generates significant overhead in memory and energy, while classical algorithms do not resist quantum threats. PQS schemes such as Falcon and Dilithium have proven more efficient and secure in limited devices. The study concludes that PQS-based lightweight authentication approaches have strong prospects for implementation in future REST API gateway architectures, particularly in supporting electronic-based governance systems (SPBEs).

Abstract

Federated Learning has emerged as a prominent solution for collaboratively training machine learning models without sharing raw data, thereby preserving user privacy in today's digital era. However, threats such as man-in-the-middle attacks, data reconstruction attacks, and model manipulation remain significant challenges for this approach. This literature review explores the integration of Homomorphic Encryption (HE) into Federated Learning to enhance data security and ensure model integrity verification. The findings indicate that the combination of Homomorphic Encryption and Federated Learning can reduce the risk of data leakage by up to 90% compared to conventional non-encrypted methods. Furthermore, despite introducing a computational overhead of approximately 20–30%, model accuracy remains relatively high, with only a 1–2% reduction. This study contributes to the development of a more secure, efficient, and reliable Federated Learning framework for critical applications, including healthcare, finance, and the Internet of Things (IoT).
