Abstract

Abstract

Microtremor is ambient vibration on the surface ground by natural phenomena, human activities, etc. Microtremor data can be processed using various software such as Geopsy, easyHVSR, and MATLAB. Another alternative software to process microtremor data is Scilab. This research was conducted to classify the soil using HVSR methods on Scilab 6.1.0. in Sendangmulyo, Semarang. Data processing includes generating synthetic signals, coding the HVSR methods on Scilab, synthetic data testing, processing microtremor data, and mapping of natural frequency () and predominant period (). Coding tests are performed against synthetic signals and can display a pre-set .  from the HVSR spectrum then processed to get the . The  in Sendangmulyo, Semarang ranged from 1.280 Hz – 18.504 Hz, and the  ranged from 0.054 s – 0,781 s. Based on the  and , Sendangmulyo is composed of hard soil, medium soil, soft soil, and very soft soil.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract. There are settlements in Tambakaji, Semarang City, which are threatened with landslides because they are located right at the foot of the slope, so research is needed to determine the potential for landslides on the slope. Landslide potential can be identified by identifying the presence of slip planes on the slopes and knowing the soil classification. The prediction of the presence of slip planes is done using the resistivity method while the soil classification uses the HVSR method. The HVSR method is also used to determine the depth of the sediment layer to strengthen the suspicion of the existence of a slip plane in the resistivity method. Based on the results of research using the resistivity method, it shows that the slope has the potential for landslides because it is suspected to have a slip plane at a depth of 20-23 meters (reinforced by the results of the HVSR method which obtains a sediment thickness value of about 23.4 -23.8 meters), but the rate of landslides falls into in the low category because the layer of sediment above it is classified as hard soil.

Abstract

Pre-service physics teachers engagement and content material influence the strategies for implementing creative learning. Behavioural, emotional, cognitive, and reciprocal aspects are less visible during classroom learning. Content material can present several interesting topics that are more engaging if pre-service physics teachers s are directly involved through demonstrations, experiments, and learning in their surroundings. The approach aims to build interest and active engagement to complete project activities. The study seeks to determine whether project-based learning with active pre-service physics teachers engagement, content delivery, and numeracy literacy understanding can be enhanced through creative projects. The research uses a quasi-experimental design with control and experimental groups using pretest and post-test. A total of 39 pre-service physics teachers s were enrolled in this study, divided into two groups: the experimental group consisted of 21 pre-service physics teachers s who received instruction using the STEM-based creativity project method, and the control group consisted of 18 pre-service physics teachers s who received instruction using the inquiry and assignment method. Both classes were analysed based on pre-service physics teachers engagement, content material presentation, and numeracy literacy understanding. The study measured pre-service physics teachers performance before and after the intervention using tests. Pretest findings showed a p-value greater than 0.05 between the control and experimental groups, indicating no statistically significant difference between the two groups. A post-test showed a p-value of <0.001 between the groups, indicating that the experimental group significantly outperformed the control group. The findings of this study suggest that pre-service physics teachers engagement, content material packaging, and numeracy literacy understanding influence creative projects. This study supports the development of STEM-based creativity project learning and active pre-service physics teachers participation.

Abstract

Tea is a beverage that contains caffeine, an infusion made by brewing leaves, leaf buds, or leaf stems. Kersen, also known as talok (Muntingia calabura), is a type of tree with small, sweet, bright red fruits. In addition to its edible fruits, the leaves can also be used as an ingredient for beverages. Kersen leaves have antiseptic and antibacterial properties, making them useful for boosting the immune system and treating various illnesses. For this reason, our team intends to provide assistance in producing tea from kersen leaves for the residents of RT 05 RW 05, Lamper Tengah Subdistrict, Semarang City. The stages of this community service program include: (1) Socialization of the benefits of kersen leaves; (2) Training; (3) Monitoring and mentoring. The impacts of this program include: (1) PKK women’s group members of RT 05 RW 05, Lamper Tengah Subdistrict gain knowledge about the benefits of kersen leaves; (2) Improved knowledge and skills in processing kersen leaves into tea bags; (3) Increased entrepreneurial motivation among PKK women’s group members of RT 05 RW 05.
