Abstract

Diesel fuel is used for diesel-engined vehicles containing sulfur, where the quality of diesel oil is expressed by the cetane number, as it is known that the cetane number for diesel fuel is 48. Water content is a parameter that affects the quality of diesel and biodiesel fuel which often increases during the stockpiling process. If the water content value is too high, it can damage the engine and accelerate corrosion. Hoarding for diesel and biodiesel products in this test was carried out with 2 variations, namely temperature variations (outside temperature and inside temperature) and also time variations. The length of the stockpiling process used in this study was 6 hours, where the results obtained from the water content test were also different. From the water content research for biodiesel products, the results were 0.1595% vol, 0.1621% vol for inside temperature, 0.1839% vol, and 0.1845% vol for outside temperature, while for solar products the results were 0.0344% vol, 0.0339% vol at inside temperature and 0.0502% vol and 0.0495 vol % for the outside temperature. It can be concluded that the higher the temperature in the process of storing diesel and biodiesel, the greater the value of the water content

Abstract

PT.

Abstract

The presence of oil and gas (oil and gas) storage facilities near residential areas often raises public concerns regarding potential hazards and environmental impacts. This Community Service (PkM) activity aims to educate residents in Cepu Regency about the importance of Quality and Quantity (Q&Q) processes and the implementation of Occupational Safety, Health, and Environment (K3) standards in oil and gas terminal storage facilities. The activity included interactive presentations using comprehensive infographics, discussions, and live Q&A sessions facilitated by the PkM team from PEM Akamigas. This visual and dialogic approach was used to simplify the understanding of technical oil and gas operational terminology for the general public. The results of this outreach activity demonstrated a significant increase in public literacy and understanding. Residents who were previously skeptical or anxious now understand that strict Quality Control (QC) processes prevent product contamination, while Quantity Measurement (QT) ensures fair energy distribution. Furthermore, the public became aware that the implementation of disciplined OHS procedures—such as fire extinguisher operation, early detection, and evacuation routes—was professionally designed solely to protect residents' safety and prevent environmental pollution. In conclusion, this community service activity, implemented in 2025, succeeded in building positive perceptions and a sense of security within the community. This activity effectively transformed concerns into trust in the operational standards of the oil and gas storage industry, while emphasizing the importance of transparent communication among industry, scientists, and the public to support safe and sustainable energy stability.

Abstract

Indonesia has a significant potential for silica sand. Yet, the utilization of solar energy is less than that of fossil fuels, while the conversion of renewable energy is becoming increasingly prevalent. On a residential scale, as the largest consumer of electricity, the use of solar modules has not yet reached the scale targeted by the government, in part due to the preferences of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) companies, which assemble solar modules, in choosing imported solar modules over domestic solar modules, which are associated with residential market expectations, resulted in the low of domestic component level value. The objective of this study is to determine the considerations of EPC companies when comparing solar modules. The analysis employs quantitative and qualitative research using Expert Choice Software through the Analytical Hierarchy Process method. The respondents came from industrial experts of solar module EPC companies in Indonesia. The study indicates that cost criteria exert the most significant influence on the selection of solar modules. It is necessary to enhance product quality criteria by increasing research and development to reduce prices and improve the competitiveness of national products.
