Abstract

Adolescent’s hight curiosity can lead into negative impact on the growth of adolescents, such as drug abuse and free sex which can be at risk of contracting diseases such as the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). Drug users in Jayapura are mostly 12-18 years old, of the total drug users being treated at BNN Papua, and HIV/AIDS cases in Papua in 2022, about 50.011 cases.. The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes of adolescents towards drugs and HIV/AIDS in Muara Tami Jayapura District. Quantitative research with a cross sectional design was conductedwith the number of sample is 212 respondents who live in the Holtekamp area, Muara Tami District. Data was collected through interviews with a questionnaire. Chi-Square test found that there was a relationship between the level of education and the level of knowledge of adolescents about HIV/AIDS (p-value 0.006). There is also a relationship between the level of knowledge and attitudes of adolescents towards drugs (p-value 0.000). The better the level of knowledge of adolescents about drugs, the better attitudes in dealing with drugs. It is necessary to increase the knowledge of adolescents related to drugs to prevent drug abuse

Abstract

Schoolchildren need enough nutrition to grow and develop according to their age. Schoolchildren in Indonesia still experience nutritional problems, such as macronutrient deficiencies, macronutrient excess, and micronutrient deficiencies. Good knowledge and attitudes are factors that support the realization of good nutrition practices. This study aims to look at the relationship between nutritional knowledge, attitudes, and nutritional status in schoolchildren. This is a cross-sectional research with 48 schoolchildren living in the Muara Tami District as research subjects. Data collected using a questionnaire and anthropometric measurements with a microtoise and digital scales. Data is processed with the SPSS 24 application using the Chi Square test. The test results showed that there was a relationship between the level of nutritional knowledge and attitudes towards nutrition with the nutritional status of school children, p-value 0.040 and 0.003 respectively. Knowledge of good nutrition will manifest good nutritional attitudes and practices, so that it can also help in improving good nutritional status as well. The need for proper nutrition education to increase school children's understanding of good nutrition.

Abstract

Students are an active age group, curious and trying many new things, most of the time students spend on school activities, so students have a high risk of experiencing injury in the school environment.Some pesantren are not only schools, but also provide dormitories so that the pesantren students live and can spend 24 hours doing activities in the pesantren area. Islamic boarding schools have characteristics in spiritual empowerment and also in empowering life skills (life skills). Therefore, it is important to empower Islamic boarding school students in increasing knowledge about wound first aid. The purpose of this dedication is:improve the knowledge and skills of Islamic boarding school students in providing first aid and wound care.The methods used in this service are lectures and demonstrations using slideshow media and brochures. Partners in this service are students of the Ittiba As Sunnah Islamic Boarding School, Holtekamp Village, Jayapura City. The result of this service is that participants understand the material presented so thatthe level of students' knowledge about first aid and wound care increased to 97% of students who had a good level of knowledge, 3% of students had sufficient knowledge, and no students had less knowledge.

Abstract

Ketahanan pangan dapat diwujudkan melalui pemberdayaan pekarangan sebagai bentuk pemanfaatan lahan yang tidak digunakan untuk memproduksi tanaman pangan. Hal ini dapat membantu memenuhi kebutuhan pangan maupun ekonomi dari pesantren, terutama produksi sayur-sayuran. Pesantren tidak hanya merupakan tempat pemberdayaan spiritual, tetapi juga pemberdayaan life skill. Melalui pemanfaatan pekarangan ini, berbagai manfaat dapat diperoleh dari sisi ekologis maupun ekonomis. Kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan warga pesantren dalam pemanfaatan pekarangan, mengembangkan pekarangan, serta meningkatkan ketersediaan sayuran di Pesantren Ittiba As Sunnah Kampung Holtekamp Jayapura. Kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemanfaatan pekarangan di Pesantren Ittiba As Sunnah Kampung Holtekamp Jayapura. Pelaksanaan pengabdian menggunakan metode demonstrasi plot, diawali dengan persiapan alat dan bahan, pembuatan media tanam, penyemaian benih dan bibit, pemupukan dan pemeliharaan. Kegiatan ini melibatkan seluruh warga Pesantren Ittiba As Sunnah Kampung Holtekamp Jayapura dan dilaksanakan selama 5 (lima) bulan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan pemanfaatan pekarangan dilakukan dengan baik melalui praktik bercocok tanam yang tepat, sehingga lahan kosong dapat dikelola dan memberikan hasil bagi warga Pesantren Ittiba As Sunnah. Pemberdayaan perlu terus dijalankan dan dipantau agar dapat mewujudkan kemandirian pangan bagi warga Pesantren Ittiba As Sunnah.
