Abstract

Waste management in the dusun beringin of Kalikoa village has not been going well, because there has been no socialization about waste management among its residents. The volume of waste increases along with the increasing rate of population growth. KKM Student Activities in an effort to provide education on how to properly and correctly manage waste with the target of increasing public awareness and knowledge, especially the smallest unit, namely the family, to carry out a waste sorting program through the 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) program and recycle organic and inorganic waste. inorganic. The method of activity used is the socialization of waste sorting (3R) and the use of recycled waste. It is hoped that through this socialization activity, public awareness in the use of waste will increase, they are accustomed to sorting organic and inorganic waste.

Abstract

This research was conducted in Kalikoa Village with the aim of having skills (life skills) which not only involve the ability to use technology, information, and communication devices, but also social skills, learning abilities, and have attitudes, critical thinking, creative, and inspirational as digital competence. Therefore, efforts to empower digital literacy need to be made to increase public awareness of the importance of digital literacy in everyday life. The problem that becomes the background of this research is that people do not understand the importance of digital literacy so that people are easily influenced by hoax news, lack of expertise in evaluating and digesting information critically so that they still do not use technology wisely. The community service method is carried out to empower digital literacy in Kalikoa Village during the KKM (Student Work Class) activity which lasts for a month. Sources of research data in the form of observations, interviews and document studies. The results of the study show that digital literacy will create a society with a critical-creative mindset and view. So, they will not be easily fooled by digital-based ones such as being victims of hoax information. In addition, understanding digital literacy can also help people to improve the economic and educational aspects in their daily life following the times critically and wisely.

Abstract

The habit of reading must be instilled from an early age to increase children's horizons. Reading will train children to be more sensitive, active and creative. In this case the motivation to read is needed to encourage someone to love reading. However, in motivating children to like reading, there are often problems with the availability of reading facilities. The implementation method used in this service is the method of providing reading gardens and reading habits. The target of the program is the community, especially children who live in Kalikoa Village. The reading garden program begins with a survey of locations that are easily accessible to readers in Kalikoa Village, especially children who need a variety of reading sources to enrich their scientific treasures. The results of this community service activity are a solution to the lack of access and reading facilities and become one of the efforts to increase children's interest in reading in Kalikoa Village. Motivation to read is very necessary to encourage someone to love reading. However, in motivating children to like to read, there are often problems with the availability of reading facilities. The absence of facilities and infrastructure to increase children's interest in reading is the reason for the establishment of a reading park that can be used for the surrounding community. Reading gardens can broaden the horizons of its users and serve as a medium for lifelong learning.
