Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian orelasional yang melibatkan tiga variabel terdiri dari regulasi emosi, self compassion, dan academic failure. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa pasca pandemi covid19. Penentuan variabel penelitian tentunya mengambil faktor eksternal dan internal agar bisa digunakan sebagai pertimbangan nantinya. Hasil penelitian pada P value = 0.000, P value < 0.05 dan nilai koefisien korelasi senilai 0.043. Sehingga hipotesis pertama yang berbunyi “Terdapat hubungan signifikan antara regulasi emosi dengan academic failure mahasiswa dan terdapat hubungan signifikan antara self compassion dan academic failure dengan regulasi emosi mahasiswa, dinyatakan diterima, self compassion dan academic failure secara bersama-sama memiliki hubungan dengan regulasi emosi, ditunjukkan dengan P value < 0.05 sedangkan berasan nilai koefisien regresi self compassion dan academic failure sebesar 51%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa self compassion dan academic failure, bersama-sama memiliki hubungan signifikan dengan regulasi emosi Kata Kunci: self compasion, regulasi emosi dan pemecahan kegagalan akademik

Abstract

This research was motivated by the researcher's interest in the level of self-esteem possessed by students in the student activity unit. This article aims to describe and analyze the self-esteem profile of students according to the type of student activity unit they are participating in. The research method used in this study is quantitative survey method. Data analysis was performed by testing the RASCH Model. The instrument used is a self-esteem inventory adapted from TCSEI (The Coopersmith Self-Esteem Inventory). Respondents are active students who are members of the student activity unit of Universitas Indraprasta PGRI Jakarta; Mapala Rafflesia, Japanese Zone, and Persada Choir). Samples are selected using probability sampling techniques with the type of total sampling or saturated samples. The results of the study generally show that students' self-esteem formed from the three types of student activity units is in the medium category. In particular, the results of research on the dynamics of aspects of self-esteem release different levels. In the Mapala Rafflesia student activity unit, the highest aspect is the strength aspect (which shows the ability to control behavior and obtain positive recognition), while the lowest aspect is in the significance aspect. In addition, in the Japanese Zone student activity unit, the highest aspect is the ability aspect (which is able to show high achievements and struggles, and is able to face problems) and the lowest aspect is the strength aspect. While in the student activity unit of the Persada Choir, the highest aspect is placed on the piety aspect (which identifies the ability to obey norms and ethics, and has a positive assessment of oneself), and the lowest aspect is the ability aspect. The results of this study are recommended to be used as consideration in developing guidance and counseling models related to student self-esteem.

Abstract

Dunia semakin terbuka lebar dengan berbagai perkembangannya yang semakin laju dan memiliki berbagai fitur canggih di dalamnya. Salah satu bentuk kemajuannya berupa smartphone dengan fasilitas game online yang sangat mudah dijumpai oleh berbagai generasi. Perkembangan ini tidak menjadi masalah selama penggunaannya masih dalam batas normal, namun kurangnya perhatian dan kontrol keluarga terhadap anak-anaknya, sangat memungkinkan bagi seseorang untuk mencari perilaku baru yang cenderung bersifat negatif, yaitu bermain game secara berlebihan. Adiksi game online sendiri didefinisikan sebagai suatu perilaku yang berulang-ulang, tidak dapat dikontrol dan menggairahkan terhadap game online yang dapat mengabaikan kegiatan penting lainnya. Perlunya penanganan yang menuntut kerjasama dengan keluarga adalah sebuah kunci dalam menangani permasalahan adiksi game online. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif berupa penelitian bentuk survei layanan untuk mengkaji keefektifan konseling keluarga dalam mengurangi adiksi game online. Hasil dalam penelitian ini nantinya diharapkan menjadi bahan evaluasi sekaligus rekomendasi bagi konselor maupun guru bimbingan dan konseling dalam menangani adiksi game online pada peserta didik sehingga dapat meningkatkan kaulitas layanan bimbingan dan konseling. Selain itu, ditemukan pula hambatan atau kendala dalam proses penelitian dijadikan sebagai bahan tindak lanjut dalam hal perbaikan.

Abstract

Abstrak Kecanduan game online berupa penggunaan komputer atau smartphone untuk bermain game secara berlebihan dan terus menerus secara online akan menimbulkan masalah pada aspek sosial dan emosional serta pemain tidak dapat mengontrol permainan yang berlebihan tersebut. Konseling individu dengan menggunakan regulasi emosi membantu konseli memiliki kemampuan dalam mengevaluasi dan mengubah reaksi emosional dan tingkah laku tertentu yang sesuai dengan situasi yang sedang mereka rasakan,dari berbagai macam hal yang negative diubah ke hal yang positif. Rancangan penelitian yang dipakai dalam paenelitian ini adalah eksperimen kuasi dengan desain single subject yang memungkinkan peneliti menentukan sampel penelitian sesuai dengan kriteria-kriteria tertentu yang akan diteliti. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah single subject design yang menggunakan desain A-B selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan analisis visual. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket tingkat adiksi game online pada remaja/siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisa data diperoleh perubahan durasi waktu perilaku adiksi game online ditunjukkan pada fase baseline dan fase intervensi. Perubahan tersebut ditunjukkan dari adanya perubahan arah dan efeknya subjek NA,BI dan IZ semuanya menunjukkan positif. Kemudian pada level perubahannya pada ketiga subjek NA,BI dan IZ menunjukkan hasil yang membaik (+). Sedangkan presentase overlap perilaku adiksi game online subjek subjek IZ sebesar 0%, kemudian subjek NA,BI sebesar 8,33%.Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan regulasi emosi berpengaruh /efektif menurunkan perilaku adiksi game online peserta didik. Kata Kunci: Adiksi Game Online, Konseling individu, Regulasi Emosi

Abstract

It was found that anxiety is correlated with problematic social media use and is widely experienced by individuals, thus posing a threat to adolescents. This issue needs to be addressed, one of which is by providing emotion regulation psychoeducation. It aims to equip students with adaptive socio-psychological skills in the technological and digital era. Psychoeducation was provided to students of Indonesian Davao School Philippines online. The materials provided were related to social media, anxiety, and emotion regulation. Prior to and after the implementation, students were given questionnaires to determine the increase in understanding and knowledge. The results showed that the psychoeducation provided further improved students' understanding of social media and emotion regulation. The implications of this service can contribute to students' ability to use social media wisely in the digital and technological era.

Abstract

The research is motivated by the need for career maturity to help students choose the right educational path, as many students lack readiness. This is due to low career planning skills, limited knowledge about further education and the workforce, and the tendency to follow peers' choices without considering their own potential. Using a quantitative approach with an ex post facto correlational design, the study involved a population of 4,383 students with a sample of 367 students selected through cluster random sampling. The instruments used include Career Maturity Inventory (validity 0.306-0.610, reliability 0.734), General Self efficacy (validity 0.488-0.748, reliability 0.850), and Rotter's Locus of control (validity 0.153-0.791, reliability 0.911). Data were analyzed using Kendall's Tau and Kendall's W techniques. The results showed a significant relationship between “self efficacy” and career maturity (p = 0.000, r = 0.387), locus of control and career maturity (p = 0.000, r = 0.137), and a significant relationship between “self efficacy” and locus of control with career maturity (p = 0.000, W = 0.755). The findings confirm that “self efficacy” and belief in locus of control significantly affect career maturity. The role of counseling teachers is needed in supporting the development of students' self-efficacy and locus of control through directed and continuous counseling services, and this research encourages the development of holistic career guidance programs and further research on external factors. Tujuan penelitian ini mengkaji keterkaitan antara “self efficacy” dan “locus of control” dengan kematangan karier siswa SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis ex post facto melalui desain korelasional, yang memiliki populasi 4.383 siswa dengan sampel 367 siswa yang dipilih melalui stratified random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi Career Maturity Inventory (validitas 0,306–0,610, reliabilitas 0,734), General Self efficacy (validitas 0,488–0,748, reliabilitas 0,850), dan Rotter's Locus of control (validitas 0,153–0,791, reliabilitas 0,911). Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik Kendall’s Tau dan Kendall’s W. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan signifikan antara self efficacy dan kematangan karier (p = 0,000, r = 0,387), locus of control dan kematangan karier (p = 0,000, r = 0,137), serta hubungan signifikan antara self efficacy dan locus of control dengan kematangan karier (p = 0,000, W = 0,755). Temuan ini menegaskan bahwasanya percaya diri dan keyakinan terhadap kontrol diri sangat memengaruhi kesiapan karier. Peran guru BK dibutuhkan dalam mendukung pengembangan self efficacy dan locus of control siswa melalui layanan konseling yang terarah dan berkesinambungan, serta penelitian ini mendorong pengembangan program bimbingan karier holistik dan penelitian lanjutan mengenai faktor eksternal.

Abstract

This research aims to explore spiritual experiences as an addiction recovery mechanism in individuals undergoing pesantren-based rehabilitation. This study uses a qualitative approach with an Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) design to understand the life experiences of participants in interpreting the recovery process. Data were collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews, observations, and field records of individuals who are undergoing or have completed pesantren-based rehabilitation programs. The results show that spiritual experiences play an important role as an important mechanism in addiction recovery through four main dimensions, namely: spiritual awareness as a turning point for change, spiritual practice as a means of self-regulation against craving and prevention of relapse, religious community as a source of recovery support, and identity reconstruction as part of recovery transformation. These findings suggest that addiction recovery in the context of pesantren-based rehabilitation is not only related to the cessation of substance use, but is a psychospiritual process that involves a change in the meaning of life, self-control, communal support, and the formation of a new identity. This study proposes the concept of spiritual recovery mechanism as a theoretical contribution to expand the perspective of recovery capital in the study of addiction recovery.

Abstract

Drug abuse among adolescents is a significant social problem that threatens psychosocial development and long-term social functioning. This study aims to explore the dynamics of family communication and peer influence in the drug abuse experiences of a male adolescent undergoing rehabilitation at the Subdirectorate of Crisis Mitigation Center (SMCC), Surabaya. Using a qualitative approach with a single-case study design, data were collected through in-depth semi-structured interviews with the primary participant (H, 17 years old), a rehabilitation counselor assistant, and the participant's biological father, complemented by observation and documentation over a four-month rehabilitation period. Thematic analysis revealed three interconnected themes: suboptimal family communication, characterized by low conversation orientation, the emotional impact of parental divorce, and absence of emotional support; peer influence through behavioral normalization, repeated invitations, direct modeling, and threat of social exclusion; and drug use as a psychological coping mechanism to fill emotional voids and resolve identity confusion during the identity versus role confusion developmental stage (Erikson, 1968). The study contributes a nuanced understanding of how weak family communication and strong peer influence mutually reinforce adolescent vulnerability to drug abuse, integrating Family Communication Patterns Theory (FCPT) with Erikson's psychosocial development theory within a rehabilitation context. Implications for guidance and counseling practice include the application of Gestalt therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), family resilience strengthening, and assertive communication training.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan fokus pada studi kasus. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami Quarter Life Crisis (QLC) yang dialami oleh individu. Metode pengumpulan data yang diterapkan meliputi wawancara, konseling, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah seorang siswa berusia 20 tahun yang mengalami krisis seperempat kehidupan. Tujuan utamanya adalah untuk mengidentifikasi penyebabnya, seperti tekanan yang disebabkan oleh harapan pribadi, kebiasaan membandingkan diri dengan orang lain, dan reaksi berlebihan terhadap kritik. Pendekatan ini dipilih agar klien memahami dan menerima diri mereka sendiri tanpa tekanan eksternal atau internal. Tujuan konseling dalam hal ini adalah untuk membantu klien mengatasi krisis kuartal kehidupan, dengan penekanan pada pemahaman dan penerimaan diri mereka sendiri, membantu klien mengenali dan memahami emosi, keyakinan, dan harapan yang membebani mereka, dan membantu klien menemukan kembali tujuan dan makna hidup. Hasil konseling menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan pada kondisi klien, yang dapat menerima diri dengan segala kekuatan dan kelemahannya, dan mengurangi kebiasaan membandingkan diri dengan orang lain, klien juga berhasil membangun rutinitas yang lebih teratur, memperbaiki pola tidur, dan mulai terhubung kembali dengan hubungan sosial mereka.

Abstract

One psychoIogicaI condition that significantIy affects a person's quaIity of Iife is sociaI fear. ExistentiaI counseIing provides a comprehensive strategy to assist peopIe in overcoming sociaI anxieties. It centers on the pursuit of freedom, responsibiIity, and purpose in Iife. The purpose of this study is to evaIuate the usefuIness of ExistentiaI counseIing in reducing sociaI anxiety and enhancing quaIity of Iife, as weII as its appIicabiIity to those who suffer from drug addiction. By examining numerous earIier studies pertaining to the use of ExistentiaI counseIing, a Iiterature review is the methodoIogy empIoyed. The findings demonstrated that ExistentiaI counseIing can support the growth of more genuine and significant connections by assisting peopIe in comprehending and accepting sociaI fears as a naturaI aspect of Iife. PeopIe with drug dependence can aIso benefit from this method, particuIarIy when it comes to conquering the sociaI anxiety that frequentIy Ieads to substance usage. ExistentiaI counseIing not onIy Iessens sociaI anxiety but aIso greatIy enhances emotionaI, psychoIogicaI, and sociaI weII-being by fostering a feeIing of accountabiIity and promoting the pursuit of purpose in Iife.
