Abstract

Jamblang (Syzygium cumini (L.) Skeels) is a family of myrtaceae, this plant can be used for medicinal purposes. This study aims to determine the active compound content of the jamun plant (Syzygium cumini (L.) Skeels) as an antipyretic. The method used in this study is the Literature Review Article (LRA) method by searching databases taken from various scientific articles through Google Scholar, Science Direct, PubMed. Based on a review of several studies of the jamun plant (Syzygium cumini (L.) Skeels) has antipyretic pharmacological activity in fruit parts, dry seeds and leaves.

Abstract

Jamblang root has long been used in traditional medicine as a natural remedy for various health conditions. This study aimed to present a systematic review to explore the potential of jamblang roots in the health sector. This study is a systematic literature review in which exploration was carried out literature from various reputable scientific publication databases. This study follows the preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analysis (PRISMA) recommendations. Several studies have shown that jamblang root has anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce inflammation in the body. In conclusion, jamblang root or java plum (Syzygium cumini) has the potential for anti-diabetic, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, hepatoprotective, and astringent effects.

Abstract

In the cosmetic field, tomatoes can be processed into various preparations that can be used to maintain and improve skin health. Extracts or other natural ingredients derived from tomatoes can be used in cosmetic products. This study is a systematic review study with the aim of exploring the potential of various tomato cosmetic preparations in improving health. The literature search process was carried out on various databases (PubMed, Web of Sciences, EMBASE, Cochrane Libraries, and Google Scholar) regarding the potential of various cosmetic preparations of tomato fruit (Solanum lycopersicum) in medicinal uses. This study follows the preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analysis (PRISMA) recommendations. Extracts or other natural ingredients derived from tomatoes can be used in products such as skin-lightening creams, anti-aging face masks, moisturizers, cleansing soaps, and enzyme peels.
