Abstract

Increasing population growth will affect the mobility of people in carrying out various activities in certain places. Therefore it is necessary to control the number of visitors visiting certain locations/places. The purpose of this research is to build an automatic system to be able to calculate the number of visitors to the room automatically. The research method used is experimental by utilizing Arduino uno and using an ultrasonic sensor, in this case the ultrasonic sensor will be used to be able to detect every movement of a person or human that passes through the sensor. So that it is hoped that the tool built can work optimally in detecting the number of people or visitors who will enter the room or building. The results of this study are the design of a system for calculating the number of visitors in a room or building that has high mobility. The device built uses an ATmega328 microcontroller and an ultrasonic sensor as a human detector. The configuration process for several devices used is using the Arduino IDE software. The conclusion that can be drawn in this study is that the results of testing the performance of the tool show that it is able to provide convenience to building or room managers in knowing the number of visitors entering, leaving visitors and visitors who are still in the room or building.

Abstract

Ikan lele merupakan salah satu komoditas perikanan air tawar yang banyak diminati di Indonesia. Faktor yang penting dalam pemelihara ikan lele adalah ketepatan waktu dalam pemberian makan ikan. Kebanyakan dari mereka yang memelihara ikan lele khawatir pemberian makan yang harus dilakukan tiap hari. Maka tujuan penelitian ini adalah penerapan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi pada budidaya ikan lele, efisiensi waktu pemberikan pakan ikan, dan membuat alat pakan ikan otomatis berbasis modul timer. Berdasarkan hal tersebut pada penelitian ini dirancang dan dibuat alat pemberian pakan ikan lele otomatis berbasis modul timer dh48s-s. Maka dirancanglah alat yang mempermudah memberi makan ikan yaitu secara otomatis sesuai dengan jadwal yang telah ditentukan. Adapun komponen pendukung penjadwalan pakan ikan diantaranya modul timer dh48s-s sebagai otak dari alat ini yang nantinya akan memerintahkan motor synchronous tyd-49r untuk memutar tempat pakan ikan

Abstract

The moisture content of soil or growing medium is one of crucial factor that significantly affects plant growth and achieving optimal harvest results. Therefore, detecting soil/growing medium moisture is essential to prevent plants from drying out due to insufficient water or being damaged by excessive watering. This study utilized an Arduino Uno to measure the moisture of the growing medium. Based on from the results and discussions, the device designed in this study has been able to detect changes in the moisture levels of the growing medium after watering and can serve as an alert if the growing medium becomes too dry, as indicated by the LED installed on the device.

Abstract

This research aims to design and develop an automated fish-feeding device using a microcontroller Arduino. This research intends to assist aquarium or fish farm owners in providing consistent and scheduled feeding while reducing the human workload. The research method involves designing both the hardware and software components. The hardware includes a feed dispenser, a motor drive, a Real-Time Clock (RTC) module, an LCD, and a microcontroller Arduino. The development of this software was to schedule feeding times and control the amount of feed dispensed. The research findings demonstrate the successful design and implementation of the automated fish-feeding device. Users can easily set feeding schedules and portion sizes through a user-friendly interface. In conclusion, this research has successfully designed a fish-feeding device using an Arduino microcontroller, which enhances the ease of fish maintenance in aquarium or fish farm environments, particularly in automated fish feeding.

Abstract

AbstrakKesenjangan pemahaman siswa terhadap etika profesi dan keselamatan kerja dalam bidang Teknik Elektronika Industri dapat menimbulkan risiko terhadap etos kerja dan keselamatan praktik. Untuk mengatasi hal ini, dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat melalui sosialisasi yang bertujuan menanamkan nilai-nilai etika dan prinsip keselamatan sejak dini. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di SMKN 1 Natar dengan melibatkan siswa kelas XI Teknik Elektronika Industri. Metode yang digunakan menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan evaluatif. Metode ini dipilih untuk menggambarkan dan mengukur efektivitas kegiatan sosialisasi secara objektif sehingga mendorong keterlibatan aktif siswa serta mengaitkan materi dengan dunia kerja. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada pengetahuan siswa berdasarkan perbandingan pre-test dan post-test, serta peningkatan partisipasi dalam diskusi dan simulasi. Siswa mampu mengenali risiko kerja, memahami prosedur keselamatan, serta menunjukkan sikap tanggung jawab dan kesadaran etis. Kegiatan ini memperkuat kesiapan mental dan kompetensi nonteknis siswa sebagai calon tenaga kerja profesional. Kata kunci: etika profesi; keselamatan kerja; teknik elektronika industri; pengabdian masyarakat.             AbstractThe lack of student understanding regarding professional ethics and occupational safety in the field of Industrial Electronics Engineering poses risks to both work ethic and safety practices. To address this issue, a community service activity was conducted through a socialization program aimed at instilling ethical values and safety principles early on. The activity took place at SMKN 1 Natar and involved 11th-grade students of the Industrial Electronics Engineering program. Methods used included interactive lectures, educational video screenings, and case study simulations designed to foster active student participation and connect the material with real workplace situations. The results showed a notable improvement in students’ knowledge, as evidenced by pre-test and post-test comparisons, as well as increased participation in discussions and simulations. Students were able to identify workplace hazards, understand safety procedures, and demonstrate a higher level of responsibility and ethical awareness. This activity contributes to developing students’ mental preparedness and non-technical competencies as future professionals committed to safety and integrity. Keywords: professional ethics; occupational safet; industrial electronics engineering; community service.
