Abstract

This study discusses the measurement of Partial Discharge (PD) in air insulation. Partial Discharge Measurement is very important to know the condition of electrical equipment. The cause of partial discharge is not only old equipment, but also from set-up errors and insulation problems. In this research partial discharge measurement was performed by using electrical methods. Electrical method use RC Detector. The modeling of partial discharge was done by using needle-plane electrode distant 1 cm in air insulation. Partial discharge measurement parameters include the measurement of Background Noise (BGN), Partial Discharge Inception Voltage (PDIV) and PD Waveform. The Partial Discharge measurement result show that Vpp of BGN ON is higher than Vpp of BGN OFF. The negative PDIV signal first appeared for the RC Detector at a voltage 3.55 KV and Positive PDIV at 4.01 KV. Negative and positive PD waveform for RC Detector at 5 KV, 5.5 KV, 6 KV, 6.5 KV and 7 KV respectively, it has been found that the fall time is greater than the rise time, and peak to peak voltage (Vpp) will be greater when the applied voltage is greater.

Abstract

Based on the results of the discussion in data processing according to field data, there are the results of the discussion, as follows: The number of street light poles is 100 traveling rods and one hundred lighting lamps. The distance between the poles is 50 meters and the height of the poles is 7 meters and the LED lights are 90 watts so that they do not meet the lighting standards of general street lights. Installation must follow the provisions for installing aerial cables in PUIL 2000 TC (Twistet cabel) as aerial cables are already familiar in the field. (In PUIL, there are various types of aerial cables NFY, NFAY, NF2X, NFA2X, etc.) On the TC cable for identification: On the TC cable there is a line / strip one is used to mark the phase = N, On the TC cable there is no line / strip is used to mark the neutral = N The nominal current in each panel is 12.37 amperes and the total use of lighting on the Sutomo-Merdeka road is 18,000 watts . The total cost budget is; total material price + tax + profit = IDR 1,515,164,000.- + IDR 174, 243,860.- + IDR 303,032,000.- , = IDR 1,992,440,660 -.

Abstract

Partial discharge causes are not only old equipment, but also from set-up errors and insulation problems. In this research, partial discharge measurement is using non-electric method. The non-electric method uses a loop antenna sensor that detects electromagnetic waves generated by partial discharge. Modeling the occurrence of partial discharge with a needle-plate electrode at a distance of 1 cm with air insulation. Partial discharge measurement parameters include Background Noise (BGN) measurements, Partial Discharge Inception Voltage (PDIV) and Partial Discharge Waveforms. The different parameters of each discharge were analyzed based on the given voltage level. The resulting data is a discharge wave obtained from an oscilloscope. The resulting data is processed using origin software so that it can determine the characteristics of the amplitude, duration of rise time and fall time of the discharge that occurs. From the results, it is known that the amplitude and duration of the rise time and fall time is greater at discharge with a higher voltage. The discharge characteristics depend on the applied voltage.

Abstract

Antena adalah komponen penting dalam sistem pemancar dan penerima, berfungsi untuk mentransmisikan dan menerima gelombang elektromagnetik melalui udara. Salah satu jenis antena yang banyak digunakan saat ini adalah antena mikrostrip, yang menjadi pilihan populer karena proses fabrikasinya yang sederhana dan biaya yang terjangkau. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis akan mendesain dan menganalisis kinerja antena mikrostrip menggunakan aplikasi CST Studio Suite 2019. Fokus penelitian ini adalah dengan harapan dapat mencapai parameter VSWR ≤ 2 dan return loss ≤ 10 dB, sebagai upaya untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran tentang antena alternatif.

Abstract

Higher education is a formal education facility that has the best service for all students. In service delivery, the use of information technology in manipulating academic data will provide great benefits to its application. Therefore, in order to help process academic data at the University, a web-based student academic information system is needed, so that it can provide fast and efficient data processing. In this study, the authors used the waterfall method to help design a system. The information processed includes information about student data, lecturer data, schedules, grades, rooms, levels, and course data. The software used is a database, as data storage media MySQL, PHP, CSS (Cascading Style Sheet), Java Script as a programming language and BootStrap is used in interface design, which aims to assist the University in processing academic data.

Abstract

Sistem proteksi petir yang baik sangat dibutuhkan pada sebuah struktur bangunan terutama khususnya pada pabrik pengolahaan kelapa sawit di seluruh unit PTP Nusantara IV. Sistem proteksi petir pada struktur bangunan terdiri dari dua bagian, yaitu sistem proteksi internal dan eksternal. Sistem proteksi internal berfungsi untuk melindungi bangunan agar terhindar dari perbedaan potensial pada setiap titik dalam instalasi atau peralatan di dalam struktur bangunan, yang bisa disebabkan oleh induksi elektromagnetik akibat sambaran petir. Sementara itu, sistem proteksi eksternal mencakup terminasi udara (air terminal), kawat penghantar (down conductor), dan pentanahan (grounding) yang terpasang di luar konstruksi gedung. Sistem eksternal ini berfungsi sebagai titik penerima sambaran petir kemudian langsung menyalurkan arus petir ke sistem pentanahan melalui kawat penghantar (down conductor). Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah untuk memastikan akan pentingnya melakukan inspeksi secara berkala baik itu  melakukan pemeliharaan dan peningkatan sistem proteksi petir pada struktur bangunan. Inspeksi berkala sistem proteksi petir sangat penting untuk memastikan bahwa sistem tetap berfungsi dengan baik dan efektif.

Abstract

Maraknya kasus penculikan anak yang membuat orang tua khawatir akan keselamatan anaknya maka pentingnya sistem keamanan anak baik di rumah maupun di sekolah. Pada penelitian merancang sistem keamanan untuk mengetahui posisi keberadaan anak. Sistem ini berbasis GPS dan posisinya akan ditampilkan pada smartphone pengguna melalui Telegram. Pada sistem ini menggunakan GPS Neo 6MV2 Berbasis Telegram dan dirangkai dengan beberapa komponen, yaitu ESP32, ISD1820, dan push button. Perlu dilakukan evaluasi hasil pengujian terhadap jarak akses maksimal dalam mengirimkan notifikasi dari GPS Neo 6MV2 ke telegram. Jarak akses maksimal sebesar 40 meter dari titik hotspot.

Abstract

Pompa air merupakan alat yang berfungsi untuk memindahkan air dari sumber menuju tempat yang diinginkan. Dalam penelitian ini, satu unit pompa air dimanfaatkan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan air dua rumah yang berdekatan dan memiliki konsumsi air yang hampir sama. Studi ini mengkaji performa sistem otomatisasi pengisian baterai yang mengandalkan pompa 12V, panel surya, serta baterai sebagai sumber energinya. Sistem bekerja dengan mentransmisikan informasi ketinggian air dari Node ke Gateway. Berdasarkan pengujian, rata-rata waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk mengisi tandon pertama adalah 36 menit, sementara tandon kedua memerlukan 44 menit. Jika kedua tandon diisi secara bersamaan, waktu pengisian menjadi 44 menit untuk tandon pertama dan 46 menit untuk tandon kedua. Pengisian daya baterai melalui panel surya membutuhkan waktu sekitar 6 jam saat cuaca cerah, dan pompa mampu beroperasi secara terus-menerus selama 12,5 jam menggunakan baterai 12V 50 Ah. Penelitian ini menyajikan evaluasi sistem serta memberikan wawasan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi penggunaan energi dalam proses pengisian air secara otomatis.
