Abstract

This study aims to produce interactive e-module products based on AUD Learning media course tutorials for students of semester V of Piaud Iainu Bangil Study Program which is packaged in e-learning using LMS Moodle. This study uses the research and development method using the Lee and Owens model through five stages, namely: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection instruments used include: interviews, observations, questionnaires, and documentation. Data collection techniques are carried out through two events, namely: qualitative descriptive data analysis techniques and statistical data analysis. The results of this study in the form of E-module product feasibility test conducted by material experts and media experts, and conducted through user trials. Validation of e-module products is performed twice. The first validation results from material experts get a percentage of 70% and from media experts get a percentage of 67% of the results can be said to be less feasible to use, so the researchers revised back to the existing materials and media. After the revision, the researchers conducted a second validity test. The second validation results from material experts get a percentage of 91% and from media experts get a percentage of 81% when viewed in terms of eligibility criteria, it is included in the category of very feasible. Furthermore, researchers conducted user trials of 9 students get a percentage of 90% and of 2 lecturers get a percentage of 88% when viewed in terms of eligibility criteria, the e-module product is included in the category of very feasible. From the results of the feasibility test, it has a high potential to be implemented well in the Piaud Iainu Bangil Study Program.

Abstract

Language acquisition is a dynamic process, especially during the formative years of childhood. This research delves into the depths of psycholinguistics to explore the effectiveness of using cartoons as a dynamic tool in enhancing lexical enrichment in the development of English vocabulary. The study aims to ascertain the influence of cartoons on the development of students' English vocabulary using psycholinguistic theory. This research adopts a qualitative approach. The data for this study pertain to the development of students' English vocabulary, with cartoons serving as the primary source of data. Data were collected through participant observation, with the researcher observing students' language acquisition and lexical mastery in the classroom. Additionally, interviews were conducted with students and English language teachers regarding the enhancement of students' English vocabulary acquisition, employing the recording technique. Once the data were collected, the researcher transcribed the speech data into written form, documenting the vocabulary acquired by students after watching cartoons. Subsequently, the data underwent reduction, classification, and analysis. The results of this study indicate several influences of cartoons on the development of students' language skills, including enhanced understanding of the English language, acquisition of new vocabulary, improved listening skills, introduction to culture and context, enjoyable learning experiences, comprehension of expressions and emotions, and the cultivation of speaking skills. Consequently, cartoons can be considered valuable learning aids, although it is advisable to use them in conjunction with more structured learning methods, such as English courses, textbooks, or tutors, to achieve more optimal learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study discusses the relationship between elementary school entry age and school refusal in children and adolescents. This study uses the literature review method with narrative analysis to deepen knowledge about school refusal. The conclusion that can be drawn from this study is that school refusal is not a mere diagnosis of anxiety disorder but needs to be mentioned because it often appears in association with other psychiatric diagnoses. School refusal is difficulty attending school, associated with emotional distress, especially anxiety and depression. It must be distinguished from other forms of school absences, such as truancy and disordered conduct, and the child not having associated antisocial behavior, such as lying, stealing, or vandalizing. Children who experience school refusal require personal assessment and treatment, and each child may have different causes that require further treatment. The most appropriate treatment is a treatment that suits the child's needs.

Abstract

Education in Indonesia currently faces systemic challenges, such as the dominance of technocratic approaches, inequality of access, and lack of critical awareness in the learning process. This article aims to explore the contribution of the philosophy of educational psychology through Habermas' critical approach in forming a more democratic and emancipatory educational paradigm. The research was conducted using the Systematic Literature Review method of Habermas' works and literature on educational philosophy, educational psychology, and national education policy. The focus of the study is directed at the ontological, epistemological, and axiological dimensions of education, as well as the application of communicative action theory in the learning environment. The results of the study show that Habermas' approach, which emphasizes dialogue, communicative rationality, and emancipation, is relevant in dismantling oppressive power structures in education. The application of this theory is able to create an inclusive and equal educational public space, and encourage active participation of students. This concept is in line with the current direction of Indonesian education, such as Merdeka Belajar, and can strengthen character education and social awareness. In conclusion, the integration of Habermas' critical approach in Indonesian education provides a conceptual and practical foundation for the transformation of the education system towards a humanistic and reflective democratic society.
