Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the business of “Cap Tikus” in Poopo Village, District of Eastern Passi of Bolaang Mongondow Regency. This study was conducted over two months, from February to March 2016. The population of “cap tikus” farmers in Poopo village many as 44 people. Of the total population taken samples as many as 24 people (54%) by using purposive sampling method. The data used in this study are primary data and secondary data. Primary data was obtained by conducting a live interview on farmers by using a list of questions that had been prepared. Secondary data were obtained from the agencies involved in this study of The data analysis used in this study is bussiness income analysis. These results indicate that the production process of “cap tikus” in Poopo Village District of Eastern Passi performed by farmers themselves from the preliminary stage to the manufacturing stage. Raw materials of sugar palm (nira or saguer), firewood and bamboo are materials owned by the farmers themselves (not bought). Business of “cap tikus” is very helpful to the people in the Poopo Village because of this effort farmers can build houses, send children to school, and can meet the needs of daily consumption. Therefore, this business of “cap tikus” is used as the principal livelihood by the people in the Poopo Village District of Eastern Passi of Bolaang Mongondow Regency. *er*

Abstract

This research aims to measure the level of consumer satisfaction toward coffee products and services in the House Coffee Billy Branches Megamas Manado. The Data used in this research is the primary data. The primary data obtained using the technique of the interview directly to respondents, in this case the consumer products coffee in the coffee House Billy Branches Megamas Manado, using a list of questions (questionnaire) as the tool in data collection. The method used in the sampling is sampling accindental. Analysis of the data that is used is a qualitative descriptive analysis is analyzed using the measurement scale Likert attitude scale installation design and presented using the list of the table and numbers. The results of this research shows that the measurement of the level of consumer satisfaction in the house of coffee Billy Branches Megamas Manado in terms of coffee products and services achieve total score loading data of 2.090 that shows the number of the index measuring consumer satisfaction of 83.6% and is considered very satisfied. This shows that consumers are very satisfied with the coffee products offered and the services provided by the employees in the House Coffee Billy Branches Megamas Manado and to increase consumer satisfaction in terms of product and services, Coffee House party Billy Branches Megamas Manado must pay attention to the quality of coffee products and quality of service offered. This is very important in order to maintain the customers and get more customers and increase sales

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the cost and income of pumpkin farming in Singsingon Raya Village, East Passi District. The study was conducted from January to February 2017. The data used were primary and secondary data. Primary data through interviews using questionnaires to 15 respondents and secondary data obtained from Singsingon Raya Village Office. This analysis uses descriptive analysis. The results showed that the cost used for the largest pumpkin laboratory is labor cost and transportation cost of 87.28 %. In the marketing of pumpkin, farmers get large enough revenue so that farmers earn substantial income. The results can be seen from the total average production cost of Rp 4,012,238.00 / Ha with average revenue of Rp 21,159,420.00 / Ha of farmers earning income of Rp 17,147,182.00 / Ha. Analysis of return cost ratio get value > 1 so that pumpkin profitable for farmers and break even point analysis results showed that pumpkin farming is at break even point.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the development of employment and analyze changes in the structure of employment by employment and employment status in North Sulawesi Province. This study uses secondary data of Population Census, National Labor Force Survey, and North Sulawesi in Figures 2010 and 2015. Data analysis using simple calculation method, that is data according to employment and job status calculated percentage then displayed in table and graph form to explain about changes of labor structure in North Sulawesi Province. The results showed that employment opportunities according to employment in North Sulawesi Province dominated by three sectors, namely the agricultural sector, service sector, and trade sector. Sectors in the secondary sector are low in providing employment opportunities in North Sulawesi. If employment is simplified into three sectors, namely primary, secondary and tertiary sectors, then the largest employment opportunities are in the tertiary sector (trade, transportation, finance, services), then primary (agriculture), and the lowest in the secondary sector (mining , industry, electricity and buildings). Based on employment status, the highest percentage is to work as a worker/employee/employee with an increasing tendency. However, when grouped into formal and informal sectors, the highest employment opportunity is in the informal sector. Based on the result of the research, it is concluded that job opportunity of agriculture sector still dominates employment in North Sulawesi. The role of agriculture/primary sector in providing job opportunities decreased; on the contrary the service sector/tertiary role was increasing. Employment opportunities by employment status in North Sulawesi, the highest percentage is employed as laborers/employees/employees. The role of the formal sector in providing employment increases, while the informal sector is declining.

Abstract

This study aims to compare the level of welfare of farmers who seek in the field of wetland rice and corn farmers in the Village Matani Tumpaan District in South Minahasa. The study lasted from July to September 2017. The data used are primary data collected throught interviews with farmers by purposive sampling taken 15 corn farmers and 15 rice field farmers.The study on farmers’ welfare level is seen from the form of economic and non economic variables enjoyed by respondents based on the criteria of BKKBN covering 5 stages of family welfare indicators. Secondary data is obtained throught documents and research results and library, data and information in village, sub-district and district offices. The result of this research concludes that rice farmers are more prosperous than corn farmers in Matani Village. Tumpaan Subdistrict of South Minahasa Regency. Wet land paddy farmers are included in the stages of the Prosperous Family II (KS II) and Prosperous Family III (KS III) while corn farmers are included in the stage of the Prosperous Family I (KS I).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the distribution of income among regions in North Sulawesi Province. This research was conducted for 4 months from October 2017 until February 2018 in North Sulawesi Province. In this study the data used were secondary data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of North Sulawesi Province. The data was processed using Gini Index analysis method (calculated BPS data) and Williamson Index and presented in tabular form. The results of the research showed that the level of the uniformity of the income distribution among regions in North Sulawesi tended increase as incated by the value of Williamson Index which raised from 0,475 in 2012 to 0,543 in 2016. While the income distribution in North Sulawesi was relative even indicated by the value of Gini Index in 2012 0.43 dropped 0,39 in 2016.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the determinants of land area, capital and labor to the production of lowland rice. This research was conducted in Makarti Village, West Kao District, North Halmahera Regency. This research lasted for three months, namely from March to May 2017. Sampling in this study used proportional area random sampling. The data used in this study were primary data and secondary data. The results of the study indicated that the area of land determines the yield of production because by adding land area the yield will tend to increase. Capital determines production results because by adding capital it can increase production. Labor also determines the yield of rice. These three factors are closely related and mutually supportive in increasing the yield of rice cultivation. This study concludes that the determinants of land area, capital, and labor tend to increase the yield of rice production.*epm*

Abstract

This study aims to: calculate the amount of rice consumption per capita per year of rice farmers; to increase knowledge about when lowland rice farmers experience a shortage of rice and cannot afford rice because there is no purchasing power what they do to overcome it?; to measure the level of food security and the ratio of fear to the families of lowland rice farmers. This research was conducted from July to November 2018 in Mopait Village and Pangian Village. which is one of the rice-producing villages in Bolaang Mongondow Regency, North Sulawesi. This research used quantitative and qualitative data collection methods concerning the production, fulfillment of rice consumption and the sale and purchase of rice at the level of the rice paddy farmer family. Interviews were conducted with farmers and village leaders as primary data sources. While the secondary data sources came from the Central Sulawesi Statistics and Agriculture Office of North Sulawesi. Data analysis uses quantitative and qualitative data analysis approaches. Quantitative and Qualitative Modeling of Food Security Lines and Farmer Fear Ratio. By using this Food Resilience Line Model, it will be known whether the Family Food Security of Paddy Farmers is strong or weak. Calculation of Farmer's Fear Ratio to find out whether farmers are pessimistic or optimistic about fulfilling rice consumption needs. The results showed that the amount of rice consumption per capita per year for paddy rice farmers, in Mopait Village rice consumption was 121 rice per capita per year. Whereas rice farmers in Pangian Village consume rice with 185 kg of rice per capita per year. At a time when lowland rice farmers lack rice and cannot afford to buy it at the market, they will borrow rice from the mill. The line of food security in the two research villages shows different figures in Mopait Village >1 while in Pangian Village <1. This means that the level of food security in paddy rice farming families in Mopait Village is higher than Pangian Village. While the paddy rice farmers in Mopait Village this year felt less fear compared to 5 years ago but for the next 5 years they remain more pessimistic than this year. Rice farmers in Pangian are more optimistic.
