Abstract

ABSTRACT  Shoulder pain is a major complaint of patients with clavicle fractures as a result of trauma. At present most clavicle fracture treatments are performed surgery, although conservative therapy can produce the same results. This report aimed to show whether there were complaints of shoulder pain or disability in patients who have suffered clavicle fractures treated conservatively. There were fifteen patients with clavicle fractures at Dr. Soetomo Surabaya from January to July 2015, consisting of 14 male and one female patient. Data was taken from medical records, patient clinical records, home visits, physical examinations, SPADI questionnaires, and Quick DASH for patients. The results of SPADI questionnaire were varied; there were eight patients (53%) with an output of 0%, one patient (7%) each with a score of 0.63%, 1.25%, 5.90%, 7.13%, 8.50%, 9.90%, and a score of 10.50%. The results of calculating the Quick DASH questionnaire score also varied. There were ten patients (67%) with a score of 0, three patients (20%) with a score of 2.27, one patient (7%) with a score of 13.6, and one patient (6%) with a score of 6.81. In conclusion: (1) From the evaluation of 15 patients, there were no complaints of pain and disability in the shoulder joint. (2) From the evaluation of the results of the calculation of the SPADI questionnaire and Quick DASH, there were no significant complaints of shoulder joint pain and disability. (3) The conservative treatment of closed fractures on the clavicle can still be a reliable choice of treatment. Keywords                 : Clavicle fractures, shoulder pain, conservative clavicle.Correspondence to: brijurnalqanun@gmail.com

Abstract

Background: In recent years, Freeze-Dried Scaffold Bovine Cartilage has been widely used as an alternative therapy for joint cartilage defects. This study aims to determine the biocompatibility of scaffold without involving implantation which provides clinical reports as expected through the evaluation of post-implantation chondrocytes regeneration, biocompatibility markers of the scaffold, and biocompatibility of sponge cartilage scaffold involving cartilage defects New Zealand White Rabbit. Methods: This experimental in-vivo study was conducted for four weeks. Rabbits were divided into 4 treatment groups: microfracture defect group with DFLP sponge cartilage scaffold (P1) implantation; Microfracture defect group with DFLP sponge cartilage scaffold-secretome implantation (P2); Microfracture defect group with DFLP sponge cartilage scaffold-adipose derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells (ADMSCs) (P3); Microfracture defect group without implantation (control). The evaluations of basophil, eosinophil, neutrophil, and polymorphonuclear (PMN) cells were done in the first 24 hours, 3 days, and 1 week after the treatment. The collected data will be analyzed statistically. Results: Research observations performed three times in the first, third, and seventh days. The results showed a small number of average Neutrophil (Neutrophil granulated) and PMN (segmented Neutrophils) cells both in the P2 and P3 groups compared with the control and the P1 group. Conclusion: In general, biocompatibility is not included on the cytotoxic effects including inflammatory reactions and post-cartilage scaffold sponge implantation (DFLP) with or without the addition of ADMSC and secretome in the white rabbit New Zealand cartilage defect associated with differences seen in eosinophils, basophils, neutrophils, also total PMN cells in four groups.

Abstract

Submandibular abscess is an inflammation and is accompanied by pus formation in the submandibular region and there are clinical symptoms in the form of sore throat, fever and limited movement of opening the mouth. Submandibular abscess is included in one of the odontogenic abscesses that are often found, cases increase in the transition season when the human body's immunity decreases causing the body to be less able to fight bacteria, this abscess comes from premolars or molars a lower jaw that spreads in a lingual direction below m. Mylohyoid. Knowing the relationship between submandibular abscesses and odontogenic infections. This type of study is observational using the cross sectional method in hospitals. Siti Khadija Throughout. Samples are selected by consecutive sampling. Data collection of submandibular abscesses and odontogenic infections were taken from medical records. The results of the medical record were analyzed with the Spearman correlation analysis test. Theistic characteristics of submandibular abscess patients at Siti Khodijah Muhammadiyah Hospital Branch Along Sidoarjo that were observed in this study were gender, age, occupation, length of treatment, comorbidities, complications and management. There was no significant association between age with submandibular abscesses and sex with submandibular abscesses (p > 0.05). The largest types of odontogenic infections in the study were cellulitis and mouth abscesses (86.5%). There was a significant association between submandibular abscess and odontogenic infection with the contingency correlation test (p<0.05) and with the Spearman correlation test (p<0.05). There is a significant association between submandibular abscesses and odontogenic infections.

Wanita perokok mengalami menopause yang lebih dini dikarenakan gangguan pada hormon yang diakibatkan oleh kandungan pada asap rokok Keywords: Kualitas tulang, Menopause, Merokok AbstractThe highest bone density that a person can achieve is before the age of 30 or at the earliest age of puberty. Many factors can affect the quality of the bone itself, one of which is smoking behavior. he himself in some literature is believed to accelerate the onset of bone mass decline or degenerative diseases in the elderly. a buyer tends to have lower bone density and experience faster bone loss. Menopause is a woman's menstrual period ending. In some data it is said that the age of menopause is getting faster from 50 years to 45 years which is caused by many kinds of factors. Several genetic factors, number of children, age at onset of menstruation and smoking habits.
