Abstract

Abstrack: This research aimed to develop higher order thinking skills (HOTS) workheet in momentum, impulse, and collision for senior high school grade xi/semester 1. Research conducted at the laboratory of physiscs learning strategy development. this type of research is Reseach and Development (R&D) with 4D model development, the procedure includes define, design, develop and disseminate. This research was carried out until develo. Data collection instruments used validation sheets for 5 validator, included 3 lecturer and 2 teacher. Aspects assessed include graphic and presentation, language, and the contents of higher order thinking skills (HOTS) workheet. Based on the result of data analysis showed that all aspects got average score in the range of 3.4 to 4 categories of high and very high. Thus, higher order thinking skills (HOTS) workheet was valid.Key Word: Higher Order Thinking Skills worksheet, HOTS, Worksheet, Momentum, impulse and collision worksheet.

Data collectioninstruments used validation sheets for given to 5 validator, Aspects assessedinclude graphic, presentation, language, and the contents of workheet. Basedon the result of data analysis showed that all aspects got average score in therange of 3.4 to 4 with categories of  very high. Thus, high order thinkingskills was valid. For the purposes of testing the worksheet is given on 68students. to measure the effectiveness of worksheet used  Higher LevelThinking Ability Test that amounts to 12 items. Based on the result of dataanalysis indicate, There is difference of higher order thinking skill ofstudents who use HOTS worksheet than who are not use HOTS worksheet, where the average Higher Order Thinking Skill on students who use HOTSworksheet higher

Abstract

Computational Thinking (CT) is the main skill of the 21st century that is increasingly attracting more researchers to study how to implement CT in the learning and teaching process. Among the CT tools that can be used to develop CT is programming. Currently, availability and easily accessible programming tools have led researchers and educators to explore how to introduce CT in the context of learning and teaching in schools. Recognizing the importance of implementing CT in the classroom, this study aims to develop the CT-S (Computational Thinking and Scratch) module for the Linear Motion topic. The type of this study is research and development research to develop modules based on the ADDIE model to produce the CT-S module with validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis. The result showed that the CT-S module was valid. It is eligible to be used as the instructional material of Physics. This study implies that computational thinking skills can be integrated with other subjects besides computer science like physics. Therefore, teachers can design lessons that are relevant to the context and students' characteristics.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the ability of students’ metacognition in solving abstract problems in physical material. The study involved students who took through the test. Metacognition ability data obtained through written test consisting of questions metacognitive knowledge and metacognition skills. Data analysis is done descriptively. The result of the research shows that declarative knowledge dominates students metacognition knowledge, that is students can recognize the difficult problem and able to interpret in other forms but less able to recognize method used and how to finish, while students' metacognition skills are more dominant in planning and monitoring fields. Prediction and evaluation skills are still relatively low. Overall, metacognition ability of students included in the low category.
