Abstract

Communication is used in everyday life to interact with other individuals. Establishing good communication aims to create good social conditions as well. This study aimed to determine the correlation between lecturers’ interpersonal communication and students’ learning motivation. This study was conducted using a non-experimental quantitative approach with correlational study methods. The questionnaires were developed from DeVito’s interpersonal communication theory and Pintrich & Groot’s learning motivation theory. . The respondents in this study were 36 students of the STAIN Sultan Abdurrahman Islamic Broadcasting Communication Study Program, Riau Islands. Based on the results of the correlation test, the 2-tailed Sig value was 0.003 <0.005, it can be concluded that there was a correlation between lecturers’ interpersonal communication and students’ learning motivation. This study was the first to be conducted at STAIN Sultan Abdurrahman as a tertiary education institution with a focus on effective interpersonal communication built by lecturers with students as a first step in creating a good academic atmosphere and encouraging all components of student learning motivation to achieve good academic achievement.

Abstract

Kematangan karier adalah kesiapan individu dalam menentukan dan memutuskan karier yang akan dipilihnya, untuk itu individu perlu mempersiapkan diri agar karier yang dipilih sesuai dengan skill dan minat yang dimilikinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui profil kematangan karier mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan statistik deskriptif dengan teknik persentase. Data didapat dari penyebaran kuesioner kematangan karier yang dikembangkan dari teori Donald E. Super. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Islam Anak Usia Dini STAIN Sultan Abdurrahman Kepulauan Riau berjumlah 31 orang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa tingkat kematangan karier mahasiswa berada pada kategori sedang dengan persentase 77%, di mana mahasiswa telah memiliki kesiapan karier yang baik, namun masih perlu dukungan dan bimbingan maka perlunya layanan bimbingan karier agar mahasiswa siap dan tidak salah langkah dalam memasuki dunia kerja nantinya. Hasil penelitian dapat digunakan oleh Unit Pengembangan Karier kampus untuk merancang program yang relevan dalam mengembangkan kematangan karier mahasiswa.

Abstract

Stunting is an issue that is currently a serious concern, the government itself is targeting a stunting prevalence rate of 14% by 2024. The stunting prevalence rate in Kepulauan Riau in 2022 is at 15.4%, this figure has decreased by 2.2% compared to 2021 at 17.6%. However, there are still 5415 cases of stunting in Kepulauan Riau with details of 1110 cases in Karimun, 399 cases in Bintan, 576 cases in Natuna, 535 cases in Lingga, 339 cases in Anambas, 1972 cases in Batam, and 484 cases in Tanjungpinang. Early childhood needs further attention and treatment as an effort to improve and encourage child growth and development. Teachers in PAUD as educational institutions that are in direct contact with children need to have a good understanding of stunting in an effort to help eradicate stunting. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of teacher understanding of stunting, and the role of teachers and efforts that can be made in overcoming the problem of stunting. The method used in this study is Mixed Methods with a Convergent Mixed Methods Design approach analysis model. A total of 256 people became respondents from five regencies/cities in Kepulauan Riau, as many as 255 or 99.6% had a high level of understanding of stunting. Furthermore, PAUD teachers have an important role in dealing with the issue of stunting. Teachers play a role in coordinating with parents. Teachers also play a role in assisting health workers in early detection activities for child growth and development on a regular basis. Teachers also play a role in providing parenting activities with parents about the importance of providing complete and balanced nutrition. Then efforts that can be made to deal with the problem of stunting, including collaborating with integrated health posts and health centers. Furthermore, PAUD teachers are also encouraged to become trained cadres so that they can increase their role in efforts to deal with stunting.

Abstract

Early childhood is in the golden age, so to optimize the potential that exists in him, good stimulation is needed. Stimulation can be given through career guidance services for early childhood. Career guidance for early childhood aims to provide an understanding of the potential that exists in children, as well as to introduce children to various types of jobs and professions that they will undertake in the future according to the development of the times. This article is a literature review, a study of various scientific articles and relevant books. Career guidance services can be provided through modeling or with media that is interesting for early childhood. The success of career guidance for early childhood cannot be separated from the cooperation between teachers, parents, and a supportive environment.
