Abstract

Puisi merupakan karya sastra yang terikat ketentuan atau syarat tertentu dan pengungkapannya tidak terperinci, tidak mendetail, atau tidak meluas. Puisi memiliki nilai motivasi yang saling berkaitan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis nilai motivasi dari dua puluh lima puisi karya Nezar Patria. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa dua puluh lima puisi karya Nezar Patria menghasilkan temuan nilai motivasi yaitu: teori motivasi yang dikembangkan oleh Maslow berintikan pendapat yang mengatakan bahwa kebutuhan manusia itu dapat diklasifikasikan pada lima hirarki kebutuhan, yaitu: 1.Kebutuhan fisiologis (physiological) yaitu kebutuhan pokok manusia seperti sandang, pangan, dan perumahan, 2. Kebutuhan keamanan (safety) baik keamanan yang bersifat fisik ataupun psikologis. Kebutuhan keamanan harus dilihat dalam arti luas, tidak hanya dalam arti aman secara fisik, aman secara psikologis, namun juga aman secara intelektual, 3. Kebutuhan sosial (social) yaitu kebutuhan yang berkisar pada adanya rasa memiliki, mencintai dicintai, diterima oleh kelompok, berafiliasi, dan berinteraksi, 3. Kebutuhan harga diri (esteem) yaitu kebutuhan pengakuan atas keberadaan dan statusnya oleh orang lain. Salah satu ciri manusia ialah bahwa dia mempunyai harga diri. Karena itu semua orang memerlukan pengakuan atas keberadaaannya dan statusnya oleh orang lain, 5. Kebutuhan aktualisasi diri (self actualitation) yaitu kebutuhan akan pengembangan potensi yang dimiliki masing-masing individu. Aktualisasi diri secara harfiah berarti mewujudkan, dalam istilah psikologi berarti pemunculan, atau penggunaan potensi-potensi yang terdapat dalam diri setiap individu.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of using the examples non-examples method based on the Canva application on the ability to write short story texts in class IX students at SMP 37 Medan in the 2023/2024 academic year. This type of research is quantitative research with an experimental method and the research design is a two group posttest design. The population in this study was all class IX students with a total of 240 people and the samples in the research were class 9.A with a total of 30 people and 9.B with a total of 30 students determined using the Cluster Sampling technique. The data analysis technique used is the normality test using the F test, homogeneity test and hypothesis test. After conducting research, namely a posttest using the examples non-examples method based on the Canva application, the average score for the control class posttest was 52.03 and the posttest was 76.06. The results of hypothesis testing in this study were carried out by the "t" test at a significant level of ?= 0.05 and obtained tcount > ttable (7.2948 > 1.67155) thus that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted and the results of the pretest and posttest prerequisite tests were normally distributed. and homogeneous. So it can be concluded that the effect of using the examples non-examples method based on the Canva application on the ability to write short story texts in class IX students at SMP 37 Medan in the 2023/2024 academic year.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of using the Discovery Learning Method on the ability to write explanatory texts for class VIII students at HKBP Sidorame Middle School, Medan. This research uses a quantitative experimental research method with a one group pretest design. The population in the study was all 30 class VIII students. The data analysis techniques used were normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis test. After conducting research for pretest and posttest experiments using the Discovery Learning Method, the average score for the control class was 60.93 and the experimental class average was 80.8. The pre-test and post-test data prerequisite test results stated that the sample had a normal and homogeneous distribution. From the results of research hypothesis testing, a "t" test was carried out at a significant level of α= 0.05. This can be proven from the results of hypothesis testing and data analysis that have been carried out. The results obtained from the calculations carried out can be seen that Tcount > Ttable = 8.22524 > 1 ,67155.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the markers of cohesion and coherence in the novel Lilin "Light That Makes My Life Dark" by Sanniyah Putri Salsabila Said and its implications for Class VIII Language Learning at SMP Negeri 11 Medan. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out using library techniques and note-taking techniques. Based on the results of this research, it shows that there are markers of cohesion and coherence in the novel "The Bright Candle Makes My Life Dark by Sanniyah Putri Salsabila Said". First, cohesion is divided into two, namely lexical cohesion and grammatical cohesion. In this study, lexical cohesion was found in 45 data. Of the 45 data, there are 5 synonyms, 13 antonyms, 6 hyponyms, 9 repetitions and 12 collocations. Grammatical cohesion was found in 42 data. From the 42 data, there are 25 pronouns, 3 substitutions, 4 ellipsis and 10 conjunctions. Second, coherence was found in 50 data that described coherence. There are 7 cause-effect relationships, 4 cause-effect relationships, 4 reason-action relationships, 4 background-conclusion, 3 conditions-results, 6 comparisons, 4 applicative, 5 additive, 3 identification, 3 generic-specific, 3 specific-generic , and 4 argumentative. The results of this research provide an important contribution in understanding and applying cohesion and coherence, especially students' writing skills in Indonesian language learning for Class VIII SMP.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that has diversity, starting from culture and customs in the era of globalization, so it is necessary for students of the nation's generation to preserve culture through the independent education program (MBKM), independent campus learning, one of the second batch of independent student exchange programs launched by the Ministry of Education and Culture, many universities are encouraging students to take part in one of them is HKBP Nommensen University Medan which sends its students to existing universities starting from Sabang-Merauke which are student destination universities namely Jakarta State University and Trunojoyo Madura University. The students carry out cross-major lecture activities, in the independent student exchange program students also carry out Nusantara module activities which aim to get to know the cultural diversity that exists in Indonesia through this students can get to know the culture at the destination university and even make friends with various ethnic groups so that students know the beauty of life various. Students register through the MBKM account through file registration following the exam selection until departure to the destination university. So by participating in the second batch of domestic independent student exchange activities, students become more enthusiastic about getting to know culture, preserving culture, learning across new science majors and even adding to relationships and taking care of and respecting one another.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Kuantitatif Eksperimen dengan desain penelitian One grup Pretest dan Posttest design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII dengan jumlah siswa 30 yang di tentukan dengan Teknik Random sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji Normalitas, uji Homogenitas dan Uji Hipotesis. Setelah dilakukan penelitian untuk eksperimen pretest dan posttest menggunakan Model Self Directed Learning, diperoleh nilai rata-rata pretest yaitu 58.15233 dan kelas Posttest 75,69467 yaitu Hasil uji prasyarat data prettest dan posttest menyatakan sampel terdistribusi Normal dan Homogen. Dari hasil pengujian hipotesis dalam penelitian ini dilakukan uji “t” pada taraf signifikan 5% yaitu dk = N1+N2, dk =30+30= 60-2 dari df 58 diperoleh taraf significan 5% = 1,67155 T tabel. Hail perhitungan yang dilakukan dapat diketahui bahwa Thitung > Ttabel 6,14 > 2,045 . Dengan demikian hipotesis nihil (Ho) ditolak dan hipotesis (Ha) diterima. berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan Model Self Directed Learning berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan Menulis Cerita Fantasi pada siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 37 Medan.
