Abstract

Penelitian ini tentang aktivitas mopo menjadi inspirasi koreografer dalam penciptaan seni tari. Aktivitas Mopo merupakan bahasa istilah suku Samawa dalam menyatakan mencuci pakaian, aktivitas ini menjadi sebuah pekerjaan yang lumrah dilakukan oleh seorang perempuan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian yang di kembangkan oleh Goldman (1980, p.39) dengan menggunakan strategi yang ditempuh melalui pengalaman empiris pada realitas, dilihat dari subject matter-nya penelitian ini termasuk dalam tipologi penelitian budaya yang dikembangkan oleh Atho (1992, p.37) yaitu model penelitian yang memiliki konsep terhadap pemikiran-pemikiran, nilai-nilai, dan ide-ide budaya sebagai produk berpikir manusia. Dalam proses penciptaan tari baru peneliti juga menggunakan metode penciptaan tari antaralain; (1) Eksplorasi (2) Improvisasi dan, (3) Komposisi (Alma M. Hawkins:2015). Sinopsis karya tari “Selendang Dedara Samawa” menggambarkan keceriaan remaja Samawa dalam aktivitas sehari-hari seperti menggambarkan gerak mopo (mencuci pakaian), gerak bisu lamong (membilas pakaian), dan gerak nyea (menjemur pakaian) yang di interpretasikan oleh koreografer dalam bentuk komposisi tari inovatif yang ritmis dan indah dengan bentuk gerak yang lincah, energik, dan penuh kegembiraan sebagai gambaran keceriaan remaja Suku Samawa dalam menjalankan aktivitas sehari-hari. Garapan ini ditarikan oleh empat orang penari yang berjenis kelamin perempuan, dan laki-laki dengan menggunakan properti jarit atau kain batik yang berukuran panjang kurang lebih 150cm sebagai property tari dan simbol pakaian yang akan dicuci. Kostum yang digunakan penari terdiri kostum tradisi suku samawa serta aksesoris mahkota dan kalung jurai.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of cultivating patient behavior from an early age because this patient behavior is useful for the future. The purpose of this study was to see the development of patient behavior in the August 17th competition activities. This study uses a Literature Review using three stages, namely data collection, data assessment, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study are August 17th competition activities that can be carried out on children aged 4-5 years, namely the flag relay race, putting balls in a basket, cracker eating competition, marble carrying competition in a spoon, filling water into bottles, dribbling balloons. Although these activities are competitions that can build a healthy competitive spirit, these activities can also increase children's sense of pleasure, and can improve several aspects of child development, namely, cognitive, language, motoric, and social emotional, especially patient behavior, such as training children to be patient waiting for their turn to play then children will learn calmly and not rush in taking, dribbling, or putting in objects. In addition, children learn not to get angry and not give up or accept when they do not win.

Abstract

The Creation of "Akegh Cahayegh" Dance: The Culture Representation of Medicinal Ritual on Calamity Reversal of Talang Mamak Tribe, Gedabu Village. The Talang Mamak tribe is a group of people included in the KAT category (Remote Indigenous Community), which is another name for the Tribe of Anak Dalam. The Talang Mamak tribe belongs to the Proto Melayu group. The Talang Mamak tribe's life inspires this source of work in the neighborhood where the workmen live. The craftsmen were very interested in the Mahligai treatment (Tolak Bala), which was located in the inland tribal area of Talang Mamak, Gedabu village in Rakit Kulim sub-district—inspired to work on this culture to survive in today's life. The craftsmen certainly feel proud when this culture is preserved and displayed with new cultivation (innovation) without leaving the medicinal ritual's distinctive features. This work was worked on with the results of the interpretation and imagination of the writer. The values contained in this work are the values of loyalty, obedience, and togetherness. The implicit message conveyed is that the development and change of time is not a barrier for the inland tribe of Talang Mamak, Gedabu village to carry out rituals and preserves ceremony, namely the treatment of Mahligai Tolak Bala as a ritual of cleaning the village.Keywords: preserving culture; obeying; togetherness
