Abstract

Training on Learning Moral Values of Early Childhood with a Scientific Approach at IGRA (Raudhatul Athfal Teacher Association) Sidoarjo" aims to provide three provisions to partners, namely: 1. Understanding and insight into learning moral values of early childhood based on a scientific approach; 2. Providing adequate abilities and skills regarding learning moral values for early childhood with a scientific approach so that learning will be more successful; 3. the ability to practice directly learning the moral values of early childhood with a scientific approach. The partners included were 40 teachers registered with IGRA (Raudhatul Athfal Teachers' Association). The implementation method uses a comprehensive method, in the sense of involving partners from the beginning of implementation to the end of the service, namely by inviting partners to identify problems related to partners' difficulties in terms of learning moral values for early childhood. Besides that, it involves partners to be directly involved in activities by providing the widest possible opportunity for partners to ask questions, respond and share experiences. The activity steps include: 1. Orientation of the material by presenting the material by the resource person; 2. Provide concrete examples of a scientific approach in learning moral values for early childhood; 3. Provide hands-on practice of a scientific approach in learning moral values at an early age. The results of the activity show three things, namely: Increased understanding and comprehensive insight of partners about learning moral values for early childhood with a scientific approach, as evidenced from the results of interviews 95% of partners said their understanding and insight had increased; 2. The level of ability and skills of partners regarding learning moral values for early childhood with a scientific approach has also increased, as evidenced by the results of interviews, 85% of partners have increased their abilities and skills; . The ability of partners when directly practicing learning moral values of early childhood with a scientific approach is also quite proven from the results of observations 85% of partners are able to carry out the practice.

Abstract

The transition from the 2013 curriculum to the independent curriculum has an impact on learning, especially for educators in Indonesia. This condition indicates that educators are the main element in implementing the curriculum in schools. Lack of training, seminars, and workshops has resulted in confusion for educators in implementing the independent curriculum. Therefore, Lecturers have duties and mandates that are outlined in the Tridharma activities. One of the Tridharma activities is Community Service which was carried out at SDN Gumuksari 1, Kalisat District, Jember regarding the formation of a learning community on the PMM platform as a form of implementing Direction and sharing good practices with several other educators through the Merdeka Mengajar Platform Learning Community. The purpose of this PKM activity is a form of social responsibility carried out by lecturers to make a positive contribution to the community. This activity is not only beneficial for the recipients, but also provides valuable experience for the devotees. The method used in PKM is a mentoring method involving seven educators at the school. The results of this PKM are that the participants showed high enthusiasm to start being active in the PMM Study Group. Most educators expressed their desire to immediately form study groups according to their respective fields of expertise and interests. Therefore, it can be concluded that the learning group activities to support the implementation of the Independent Curriculum more effectively. With the mentoring method implemented, educators feel more confident in using technology and can work together with colleagues, which will have a positive impact on the quality of learning in each school.

Abstract

Education is an important part of human life, which can only happen when teachers and students communicate directly. The ability to read words and phrases is the main focus of reading skills. Tools or learning resources that support literacy activities are called literacy tree media. It takes the form of a visual tree. This study uses a qualitative descriptive methodology. Ten third-grade students at UPT SD Negeri 202 Gresik became the data and research sources. The approaches used to collect data in this study were: (1) observation, (2) interviews, and (3) documentation. Based on the research findings regarding the impact of literacy tree media on the reading skills of third-grade students at UPT SD Negeri 202 Gresik, it can be concluded that teachers effectively utilize learning media in teaching reading to their students. To make learning more conducive and enjoyable, educators have used engaging media. Students' interest in using the literacy tree media indicates that they can read the content of short stories on the topic of Rights and Responsibilities at home clearly and fluently. Additionally, students gain strong understanding and information.

Abstract

Abstract: Pengembangan kemampuan literasi dan numerasi pada anak usia dini merupakan pilar fundamental dalam membentuk keterampilan pemecahan masalah, serta kesiapan menghadapi jenjang pendidikan berikutnya. Namun demikian, praktik pembelajaran di pendidikan anak usia dini masih didominasi oleh pendekatan hafalan (rote learning) dan latihan berulang (drill), sehingga anak cenderung kurang terlibat secara aktif dalam proses belajar. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat kemampuan literasi, numerasi, dan sains anak usia dini melalui pembelajaran berbasis local wisdom dengan menggunakan pendekatan deep learning. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup diskusi interaktif, lokakarya perancangan kegiatan pembelajaran integratif, serta pendampingan dalam penerapan di kelas. Pendekatan deep learning diimplementasikan melalui tahapan observasi, refleksi, dan eksplorasi mendalam terhadap fenomena lokal di sekitar anak. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman guru dalam mengembangkan pembelajaran berbasis kearifan lokal sebesar 90%, serta peningkatan keterlibatan aktif anak dalam kegiatan literasi dan numerasi sebesar 93%. Anak menunjukkan kemampuan mengenali konsep-konsep ilmiah sederhana melalui pengalaman langsung, seperti mengidentifikasi sifat ikan bandeng, mengukur panjang ikan, makan makanan dari bandeng, serta bercerita sederhana berdasarkan hasil pengamatan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa penguatan literasi, numerasi, dan sains berbasis kearifan lokal dengan pendekatan deep learning terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran yang kontekstual, bermakna, dan berkarakter pada pendidikan anak usia dini.
