Abstract

The ignorance of reading activity is a result of condition in which people are not accustomed to read because they are not familiar with the culture of writing. It is fueled by the entry of telecommunications technologies and broadcasting, especially children digital native generation. The ability to speak and communicate in children is very influential in the development of social interaction. Besides the language and communication skills are directly related to the process of thinking and developments in the search for solutions to problems in children. Informational books is one medium that can help the development of language and communication skills in children. Informational books can convey knowledge of all the things they want to know the child, about science, about everything that exists and happens around the child to see the writing in a language that has a characteristic and image. The method used is literature study and data collection techniques to conduct a study review of the relevant literature. Informational books children as a means of communication, various forms of media including books have a major influence in shaping attitudes and behavior of children. A wide variety of informational books that has developed its own current trend where its use on children in need of assistance.

Abstract

Maraknya penggunaan media jejaring sosial instagram di kalangan masyarakat modern khususnya di kalangan remaja menjadikan media jejaring sosial tersebut sangat populer saat ini. Salah satu pemanfaatan teknologi informasi di perpustakaan yaitu dengan menggunakan media sosial untuk berbagai kepentingan perpustakaan. Media sosial merupakan alat, jasa dan komunikasi yang memfasilitasi hubungan antara orang satu dengan lainnya serta memiliki kepentingan atau ketertarikan yang sama. Maka dari itu ruang baca vokasi menggunakan media sosial instagram sebagai jasa komunikasi dengan penggunanya yang tiada lain adalah mahasiswa vokasi. Target dalam promosi ini adalah meningkatnya jumlah pengikut Instagram Ruang Baca Vokasi, suka, komen, dan penggunaan hashtag (#ruangbacavokasi).

Abstract

Background of the study: The application of storytellingPurpose: This study aims to determine the level of the child's visit after the application of storytelling in the park read RW 3 Breadfruit Malang.Method: In the application of this storytelling, researchers divided into four cycles. Each cycle using a different media story that is stuffed hilt, drawing on HVS, the image of the picture book and flannel board. Different stories read at each meeting, but the story is still in one kind, IE fables (Fiction animal life that behaves like a human), Stages of story telling is done is the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection.Findings: Based on the research results, in the first cycle the final conditions are 6 children were keen to come back, in the second cycle increased to 34 children. However, in Cycle III, participants storytelling began to decline, the overall number of participants in Cycle III is 28 children, and in Cycle IV decreased again to 21 children.Conclusion: Children have decreased interest in returning, so the methods used should be more optimized.

Abstract

Digital technology is increasingly expanding into banking by changing ordinary transaction models into digital transactions with the emergence of systems such as digital customer service. This article aims to determine the quality of digital customer service with the e-service machine media to the quality of banking services. This method identifies and describes the digital service quality of a private bank's sub-branch office in the City of Malang East Java on their e-service machine. The bank has developed the concept of digital transactions through digital machines which customers can use independently. The research method used is descriptive quantitative. The process of collecting data through questionnaires and literature studies. Based on the results and discussion in this scientific work, most respondents' responses indicate that the quality of digital customer service by e-service machine media is very satisfying to customers. Nevertheless, there is also a need for continuous evaluation and improvement to achieve maximum satisfaction for the customers. Abstract

Background: The current challenge in Indonesia is the rising unemployment rate of college graduates and low interest in continuing to study at university, especially in Vocational Faculty. Therefore, the university must clearly understand what potential prospective students are looking for. The Vocational Faculty consists of two departments: the Department of Business and Hospitality and the Department of Creative and Digital Industries. In the 2021 class, the total number of students are 499 students. Purpose: This research aims to assess equity of UB Vocational brand in the eyes of prospective students. In this study, candidate students, namely students of SHS/ Vocational School in third grade whose planning to continue studying in college and new students of UB Vocational. Methods: The research method used in this research is descriptive. The data acquisition technique in this study was using open questionnaire. Results: Brand Image, related to the Vocational Education of Brawijaya University, which produces graduates who are ready for work and satisfied with the institution, is assessed in terms of educational attributes, including the quality of lecturers, facilities, curriculum, and cooperation. Conclusion: The main objective of this study is to assess the determinants of university brand loyalty by mapping out the characteristics regarding respondents’ reaction to higher education services (especially universities) at the Vocational Faculty of Brawijaya University through measuring brand awareness, image, and satisfaction. Implications: The results of this research shows that the Vocational Education of Brawijaya University as a place to continue study for new candidate students are still being recognized and considered as one particular choice to for higher education.

Abstract

It will be seen throughout social media that the potential of MSMEs in Indonesia is very large to develop. However, MSME players unfortunately are still not responsive to change toward digitalization or online. The development of MSMEs has experienced several problems, one of which is marketing problems, especially related to branding through social media, particularly Instagram. This study aims to obtain a mapping picture of the problems faced by MSMEs when developing branding faced in the use of Instagram social media. The target MSMEs in this study are MSMEs of superior products, namely specialty foods located in Malang and its surroundings, which have Instagram social media accounts and high followers. The analysis was carried out using qualitative and quantitative descriptive approach.

Abstract

This study examines perceived barriers of using internet application in higher education level. Quantitative data were collected by using questionnaires. A total of 16 participants assigned to teach English were randomly selected from 3 faculties using both simple random and purposive sampling procedures. Data were analyzed both descriptively and statistically and were presented in tables and percentages. Microsoft excel was used in the descriptive statistics The study found several barriers of using internet application for teaching and learning which include: lack of personal’s ICT competency, lack of consistent technical support, lack of training on how to use internet application for teaching and learning, and poor internet connectivity. This study recommends to the management of the institution to facilitate and support the teachers actively with many training activities to improve the academic performance of the teachers so that can fulfill the millennial students’ learning needs. HIGHLIGHTS: English teachers have strong intention for the integration of ICT into classroom context, but they encountered many barriers to implement it. The major barriers faced in this study were lack of facilities or infrastructure, training, and time constraint. The presence of ICT competency increases technology integration in learning and teaching process.

Abstract

Purpose: The primary objective of this community service program is to enhance the agricultural potential of Podokoyo tourist village by addressing the knowledge gap in potato processing. The program aims to equip the Family Welfare Development Women of Podokoyo Village with the skills and knowledge to transform potatoes, a local agricultural product, into high-value donut products. Method: The program is implemented in three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The preparation stage involves arranging the necessary equipment and facilities, ensuring space availability, and securing partner involvement and community support. The implementation stage is where the actual training takes place, and the participants learn to process potatoes into donuts. The evaluation stage assesses the effectiveness of the training and the participants’ ability to apply their new skills. Practical Applications: The practical outcome of this program is that the participants, the Family Welfare Development Women, are expected to be able to process potatoes into more valuable donut products. This not only adds value to the local agricultural produce but also contributes to the economic development of the Podokoyo village. Conclusion: The program has successfully achieved its goals, as evidenced by the improved abilities of the participants in financial management and adding value to their products. The success of the program is attributed to the availability of necessary equipment and facilities, partner involvement, and community support. This initiative has the potential to significantly improve the welfare of the rural communities in Podokoyo village.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi Program Corporate Social Responsibility, PT Pertamina EP Asset 4 Field Cepu dengan program CSR Bank Sampah Delima dalam pemberdayaan masyarakat Desa Banyu Urip Kecamatan Senori Kabupaten Tuban. Jenis penelitian ini ialah deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu wawancara mendalam, dokumentasi, observasi, dan triangulasi data. Dari hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa: (1) Perusahaan mengeluarkan laba bersih (Profit) CSR dengan anggaran 2% telah dialokasikan ke Bank Sampah Delima (2) Lingkungan (Planet) sekitar beroperasinya perusahaan juga bersih karena Bank Sampah Delima menjadikan lingkungan bersih dari sampah (3) Pemberdayaan masyarakat (People) Desa menunjukkan perkembangan dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan secara ekonomi. dan (4) Pada aspek Prosedur (Procedure) pengembangan program dan evaluasi dilakukan oleh pihak Humas dan bekerjasama dengan pemerintah.
