Abstract

Hypertension is one of the factors contributing to the highest death rates from non-communicable diseases in various countries. Every year, the number of hypertension sufferers increases significantly. It is estimated that in 2025, the number of hypertension sufferers will reach 1.5 billion individuals. Data mining aims to identify patterns that can help in decision making, classification, and prediction. One of the well-known algorithms or methods for classification is the Support Vector Machine (SVM). The SVM method aims to find the best hyperplane or decision boundary function that can separate two or more classes of data in the input space. This research purpose is to determine the classification results and accuracy of the diagnosis of hypertension using the SVM method. Eleven attributes used include age, smoking habits, physical activity, sugar consumption, salt consumption, fat consumption, alcohol consumption, lack of fruit and vegetable consumption, systolic and diastolic blood pressure. This research will utilize Jupyter Notebook tools and Python programming language as research tools. The SVM method was trained with various kernel attributes and hyperparameters to produce the best model. From the results it is known that the RBF kernel used with parameters ???? = 100 and ???? = 0.1 produces an accuracy of 97.5% which is the best model in classifying hypertension. From these results it can be concluded that the SVM method is able to produce a very good classification of hypertension diagnosis and can provide a diagnosis to detect hypertension early

Abstract

Reading comprehension is essential for non-language students in English for Specific Purposes (ESP) to access domain-specific knowledge, yet many face challenges with news item texts due to their complex structure and limited exposure to journalistic content, leading to high reading anxiety and low comprehension scores. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of graphic organizers in enhancing reading comprehension of news item texts and to assess student perceptions in an ESP context. Employing a quantitative quasi-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design, the research involved 120 second-semester students from Universitas Duta Bangsa and Universitas Dharma AUB, Surakarta, using reading comprehension tests and a perception questionnaire. Results showed a significant score increase (mean = 15.76; p < 0.001; N-Gain = 0.42, moderate), with a positive shift in score categories and reduced variance. Students reported high satisfaction (mean = 3.24) with the ease, clarity, and engagement of graphic organizers. These findings highlight graphic organizers as effective visual scaffolding tools, enhancing cognitive and emotional engagement, and suggest their integration into ESP pedagogy to improve academic reading outcomes for non-language learners across disciplines.

Abstract

Ensuring accountability within zakat institutions is vital for managing public funds with professionalism and transparency, thereby safeguarding public trust and preventing misappropriation. This research investigates manager competence effects and transparency on financial reports accountability at Lazismu in Central Java. Managerial competence is defined by knowledge, technical skills, and professional ethics, while transparency is characterized by the institution's commitment to information disclosure. To achieve the research objectives, a quantitative approach was applied through primary data collection using a questionnaire instrument. A total of 100 respondents who serve as managers at Lazismu in the Central Java region participated in this survey. The valid data were then processed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS) data analysis techniques. In-depth analysis of the measurement and structural models was carried out with the assistance of SmartPLS 4.0 software. The findings show that both zakat manager competence and transparency significantly impact financial statement accountability. These results underscore that enhanced amil knowledge and greater transparency lead to improved financial reporting accountability. These research findings serve to enhance internal regulatory frameworks, thereby facilitating the transparent and professional management of zakat funds by these institutions. In conclusion, the structural model generates an R-square value of 0.963, which implies that managerial competence and transparency jointly explain 96.3% of the variance in financial statement accountability. Moreover, the positive Q-square value substantiates the model's strong predictive relevance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the direct and indirect effects of the independent variables of live streaming interactivity, time constraints, and product demonstrations on impulsive buying in Generation Z, with emotional engagement as an intervening factor. The sample was obtained through purposive simple random sampling, involving 71 respondents from a population of 150. Data analysis was conducted using instrument quality testing, statistical tests, and path analysis. The results showed that the variables of time constraints and live streaming interactivity directly had a positive and significant effect on impulse buying. Product demonstrations had a negative direct effect. Emotional engagement mediated the influence of product demonstrations and time constraints. Conversely, emotional engagement did not mediate live streaming interactivity. Time constraints were the most effective and dominant variable in triggering impulse buying. R2 total = 0.7148, meaning that impulse buying can be explained by the variables of live streaming interactivity, time constraints, and product demonstrations, with emotional engagement intervening at 71.48%. The remaining 28.52% was explained by other variables.

Abstract

Gondang is one of the PSHT sub-branches located in Sragen Regency, Central Java, Indonesia. In managing member data from recruitment to promotion, conventional methods are still used using office applications and information dissemination is still using brochures and social media. This research aims to develop an information system that can help manage data and disseminate information at PSHT Gondang. The system developed can manage the registration of prospective member to become a member and the process of promotion. Delivery of information in the form of organizational structures, announcements, activity schedules, services for member and community, activity galleries containing photos and videos can also be accessed through the system.EUD was chosen as a method in system development because time required is quite short with a relatively small cost allocation. The system is created using Laravel framework and Firebase as a database with a responsive display so that it can be accessed using a smartphone. By using the EUD method, users can modify the appearance and existing information if there is a change in data from the organization which was not available in previous research.
