Abstract

ABSTRACTHealth profile Central Java Province The percentage of exclusive breastfeeding for babies 0-6 months in Central Java, in 2019 was 66.0 percent, an increase compared to the percentage of exclusive breastfeeding in 2018, which was 65.6 percent. Meanwhile, data for the city of Demak who were exclusively breastfed in 2019, there were 219 babies aged 0-6 months with a percentage of 78.4%. Low milk production caused failure of breastfeeding for babies. One of the efforts to increase milk production is consuming katuk leaf extract and moringa leaf extract. Research Objectives: To determine the Effectiveness of Consumption of Katuk Leaf Extract and Moringa Leaf Extract on Increasing Breast Milk Production in the Working Area of the Kebonagung Health Center. Research Methods: This type of quasi-experimental research. The research design used a two group pretest posttest design. The research population is mother as much as 21 respondents. The number of samples is 18 respondents. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. Research Results: There is no Effectiveness of Consumption of Katuk Leaf Extract and Moringa Leaf Extract on Increasing Breast Milk Production in the Working Area of the Kebonagung Health Center (P-value 0.737). Suggestion: as a guide in providing professional midwifery care, especially for breast milk production patients who do not intervene enough to consume Katuk Leaf Extract and Moringa Leaf Extract.. Keywords: Katuk Leaf Extract, Moringa Leaf Extract, Breast Milk Production

Abstract

Abstrak   Bayi prematur merupakan bayi yang lahir sebelum usia kehamilan mencapai 37 minggu. merupakan masalah utama pada kesehatan bayi karena menimbulkan komplikasi. Komplikasi prematuritas adalah penyebab kematian utama pada balita (18%), melebihi pneumonia (16%) dan diare (9%). Sebagian besar dari kematian dini (16%) terjadi pada periode neonatal (first four weeks of life), sekitar dua pertiga terjadi kematian neonatal dini pada minggu pertama kehidupan. Pada minggu pertama, sebagian besar kematian terjadi selama 48 jam pertama kehidupan. Kangaroo mother Care (KMC) mencakup kontak kulit ke kulit dan menyusui yang menyediakan bayi dengan semua nutrisi yang diperlukan untuk pertumbuhan, perkembangan dan kesehatan, tentu juga dibutuhkan kekuatan yang luar biasa dari cinta orang tua, perawatan dan pelukan lembut. KMC merupakan fondasi pengelolaan bayi prematur untuk meningkatkan berat badan.   Kata Kunci: Bayi premature, Kangaroo mother care, peningkatan berat badan     Abstract Premature babies are those born before the gestational age reaches 37 weeks. They are a major health issue for infants because they cause complications.. Prematurity complications are the leading cause of death in infants (18%), surpassing pneumonia (16%) and diarrhea (9%). Most early deaths (16%) occur during the neonatal period (first four weeks of life), with about two-thirds of early neonatal deaths happening in the first week of life. In the first week, most deaths occur during the first 48 hours of life. Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) includes skin-to-skin contact and breastfeeding, which provide the baby with all the necessary nutrients for growth, development, and health. Of course, it also requires the extraordinary strength of parental love, care, and gentle hugs. KMC is the foundation for managing premature babies to increase their weight.   Keywords: low birth weight, Kangaroo mother care, weight gain
