Abstract

Pohon pada lanskap jalan memiliki peranan penting secara fungsional dan estetika. Pohon dapat berfungsi sebagai keindahan dan secara fungsional sebagai pelengkap, penyatu, penegas, penanda dan pembingkai terhadap lingkungan. Bentuk tajuk pada pohon merupakan karakteristik yang paling menonjol tidak hanya secara estetika visual tetapi sebagai fungsi ekologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kualitas visual bentuk tajuk pohon median jalan Prof. Dr. Ida Bagus Mantra yang dapat memenuhi kebutuhan psikologis pengguna dengan menggunakan indikator penilaian keindahan adalah scenic beauty estimation (SBE). Metode yang digunakan adalah metode observasi untuk menentukan titik lokasi yang akan digunakan sebagai simulasi serta metode kuesioner untuk mengetahui nilai SBE serta preferensi pengguna. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan nilai keindahan yang diambil pada tujuh paket foto simulasi bentuk tajuk pohon, yang memiliki nilai SBE tertinggi adalah bentuk tajuk globular (membulat). SBE sedang adalah bentuk tajuk pohon fastigiated (ramping, meruncing), bentuk tajuk pyramidal (kerucut), bentuk tajuk weeping (menjurai), bentuk tajuk picturesque (menarik), dan bentuk tajuk spread (menyebar). Bentuk tajuk pohon columnar (tinggi, meramping) memiliki kualitas visual atau nilai keindahan yang rendah yang berarti foto simulasi bentuk tajuk tersebut kurang diminati.

Abstract

Street in urban areas has an important function to support human activity and social interaction. That matter can be achieved by a good streetscape planning based on regulations and standards for streetscape design. The aim of streetscape planning is to give safety and amenities for street user in urban area. This research took place in Dr. Muwardi street Denpasar. Dr. Muwardi street’s located inside Denpasar City civic center well known as Niti Mandala area. Lack of streetscape planning makes street activities unorganized. A number of street vendors that attract visitor with personal transportation caused a street dysfunction. This study aims to design a good streetscape, and optimize the potential and solve the problems in Dr. Muwardi street. The research used a descriptive qualitative methode through inventory, analysis, synthesis, concept making, planning, and pre-design phase. The result shown that the street design was devided into trading space, pedestrian space, and traffic space. Trading spaces organized by rearrange the street vendor trading zone. Pedestrian space designed by adding sidewalk and street amenities, meanwhile traffic area designed by adjusting streetscape standart into the site. To enchance local characteristic and aesthetic value to the streetscape, additional street landscape trees from Gumi Banten plant list is applied.

Abstract

Evaluation of the Greening Function at the Lowered Road Median on the Jalan Prof. Dr. Ida Bagus Mantra, Bali. Prof. Dr. Ida Bagus Mantra highway is one of the bypass roads in Bali that was created to avoid congestion on the southern side of the island of Bali. This study aims to evaluate the function of the greening of the lowered median on that road and make recommendations as a solution. The method used was observation with the guidance of assessment criteria to obtain data on the function of a shade, glare barrier, and identity giver. To evaluate the function of aesthetic, the method used was observation and Scenic Beauty Estimation (SBE) questionnaire. The interview method was used to obtain data related to plant maintenance, and literature study method was used to obtain secondary data that support research. The results of this study indicate the shade function gets a good category with an average score of 75.6%, the glare barrier function gets a bad category with an average score of 25.9%, and the identity giver function gets a bad category with an average score of 35, 7%. Assesment of the aesthetic function showed 14 photos of low beauty, 30 of medium beauty, and 4 photos of high beauty were obtained. Recommendations given by researchers in the form of arrangement and maintenance recommendations, where the arrangement recommendations emphasize the addition of the number and type of plants.
