Abstract

The main problem in this research  is: what are the elements that influence the attitudes and experiences of EFL teachers in implementing multiliteracy, and how can EFL teachers be used as role models for implementing multiliteracy in terms of their attitudes and experiences? The purpose of this research is to find out how the attitudes and experiences of teachers towards students during the learning process affect them and how multiliteracy can be applied during the teaching and learning process, whether it makes learning effective or vice versa. This research was carried out at SMP PGRI 1 of Palembang. This research was carried out using qualitative methods. First, the researcher made observations at school to find out how effective the teaching and learning process was in class, especially in English lessons. Furthermore, the researchers conducted interviews with the English teacher and distributed 20 questionnaires to 30 students in class VIII.4 in the even-numbered 2022/2023 academic year. Based on the findings from this study, the researcher concludes the results of the research analysis. And from the results of this analysis, the researchers concluded that 90% of SMP PGRI students liked English lessons and always got good motivation and role models from the teacher, meaning that the teacher could provide good motivation to students and always give a good attitude during the learning process. Students are also more active in the application of multiliteracy because there is good interaction between the teacher and students.

Abstract

The advent of digital technology has revolutionized various sectors, including education, by providing automated and sophisticated systems to enhance learning experiences. This study explores the effectiveness of the Spotify application as a medium to improve students' listening abilities in English. Recognizing the significance of listening as one of the four essential language skills, this research addresses the challenge students face in mastering listening due to limited vocabulary and noisy classroom environments. Utilizing a pre-experimental design with a quantitative approach, this study involved pre-test and post-test assessments of two groups: a control class and an experimental class using the Spotify application. The research instrument consisted of written tests, including fill-in and multiple-choice formats, designed to measure students' listening performance. Data collection focused on comparing pre-test and post-test scores to evaluate improvements. The findings revealed a significant enhancement in students' listening abilities after using the Spotify application, with mean scores increasing from 42.89 to 82.42, reflecting a 39.52% improvement. The t-test value further supported these results (5.72 > 2.026). The study concludes that Spotify, with its diverse features such as music discovery, personalized playlists, lyrics integration, and offline access, serves as an effective tool to engage students and improve their listening skills. This method not only addresses the difficulties students face in listening but also motivates them through an enjoyable and interactive learning process.

Abstract

The effect of using big book media on the reading ability of class II students at SDN 68 Palembang aims to determine the effect of using big book media on students' valid and practical reading ability. The type of research used is quantitative. with this type of Quasi Experimental research using saturated sampling techniques. Based on the results of data analysis and research discussion, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence on the use of big book media on students' reading ability in class II of SD Negeri 68 Palembang. Based on the results of research that has been carried out, it is stated that there are differences in Indonesian language learning outcomes between classes that were given treatment and those that were not given treatment, which can be seen from the average score in the experimental class of 85.57, while the average score of the control class was 77.62. Abstract

This study aims to determine and describe the effect of hand puppet learning media on storytelling skills motivation of Palembang public elementary students. The research method used is the true experiment design method using the Postest Only, Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. In this study all of class V at SD Negeri 79 Palembang as a population. The sample collection technique uses purposive sampling. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and hypothesis testing in this study using the t-test (Independent Sample T-Test). The results of post-test results for the control class of 74.05 (medium category) and the average value of the pre-test results was 88.66 (high category). The results of the hypothesis analysis show that the sig two-tailed value is 0.019 with a decision making if the sig two-taliled value is smaller than (0.05) then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means there is a significant difference so that it can be concluded that hand puppet learning media has an effect on motivational storytelling skills fifth grade students at SD Negeri 79 Palembang. Abstract

ABSTRAK Rumusan masalah pada penelitian ini yaitu: adakah pengaruh penerapan penggunaan media card sort terhadap minat membaca permulaan pada siswa kelas I SDN 23 pemulutan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapaan penggunaan media card sort terhadap minat membaca permulaan pada siswa kelas I SDN 23 Pemulutan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen, teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan observasi, tes dan dokumentasi, sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji T. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa hasil uji t menunjukkan nilai thitung = 3,934 lebih dari ttabel (0,05) (dk = n-1) = 1,696 sehingga Hₒ ditolak, yang artinya ada pengaruh dari media card sort terhadap minat membaca permulaan pada siswa kelas I SD Negeri 23 Pemulutan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat diketahui, hasil penelitian yang diperoleh dengan analisis data dan pengujian hipotesis, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifkan antara media card sort terhadap minat membaca permulaan pada siswa kelas I SD Negeri 23 Pemulutan. Kata Kunci: Media Card sort, Minat Membaca, B.Indonesia Abstract The formulation of the problem in this study is: is there any effect of applying the use of card sort media to the interest in reading beginning in grade I students at SDN 23 Pemulutan. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the application of the use of card sort media on interest in reading beginning in class I SDN 23 Pemulutan. The method used in this study is the experimental method, data collection techniques in this study used observation ,tests and documentation, while data analysis techniques used normality tests, homogeneity tests, T tests. ttable (0.05) (dk = n-1) = 1.696 so that Hₒ is rejected, which means that there is an effect of card sort media on initial reading interest in grade I students at SD Negeri 23 Pemulutan. Based on the research results it can be seen, the research results obtained by data analysis and hypothesis testing, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between card sort media on initial reading interest in class I students of SD Negeri 23 Pemulutan. Abstract

ABSTRAK Kolase adalah karya seni rupa dua dimensi yang menggunakan teknik tempel yang menyatukan berbagai macam bahan di dalam pembuatannya sehingga menghasilkan karya kolaase yang indah. Maka dari itu, penelitian ini dilatar belakangi dengan tingkat kemampuan siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 28 Talang Ubi dalam membuat karya kolase terbilang masih rendah. Berdasarkan hal tersebut yang perlu diketahui adalah adakah pengaruh metode outdoor learning terhadap kemampuan membuat kolase organik batik khas Kabupaten PALI pada pembelajaran SBdP untuk siswa kelas IV. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh metode outdoor learning terhadap kemampuan membuat kolase organik batik siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuntitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu tes unjuk kerja dengan metode True Experimental (eksperimen sungguhan) dengan posttest only control design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswaa kelas IV SD Negeri 28 Talang Ubi yang terdiri dari dua kelompok yang berjumlah 30 orang siswa. Kelas IVA sebagai kelompok eksperimen yang berjumlah 15 orang siswa dan kelas IVB sebagai Kelompok Kontrol yang berjumlah 15 orang siswa. Berdasarkan hasil, pembahasan, dan perhitungan data dengan taraf signifikan (α) 0,05 dan dk=15-1=14. Didapatkan nilai thitung = 4,4 dengn demikin dapat disimpulkan thitung > ttabel atau 4,4 > 1,761, maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Maka dapat disimpulkan hipotesis ini menyatakan bahwa penelitian yang dilakukan ada pengaruh yang signifikan dalam penggunaan metode outdoor learning terhadap kemampuan membuat kolase organik batik khas Kabupaten PALI pada pembelajaran SBdP untuk siswa kelas IV. Kata Kunci: Metode Outdoor Learning, Kemampuan Membuat Kolase Organik Abstract Two-dimensional work of art (kolase) that uses a pasting technique that combines various materials in its manufacture to produce beautiful collage works. Therefore, this research is motivated by the ability level of fourth grade students at SD Negeri 28 Talang Ubi in making collage works which is still relatively low. Based on this, what needs to be known is whether there is an effect of the outdoor learning method on the ability to make organic batik of PALI Regency in SBdP learning for grade IV students. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was an influence of the outdoor learning method on the ability to make organic two-dimensional work of art (kolase).The research method used is a quantitative method with data collection techniques, namely performance tests using the True Experimental method (real experiments) with posttest only control design. The population of this study were fourth grade students at SD Negeri 28 Talang Ubi consisting of two groups of 30 students. Class IVA as the experimental group with a total of 15 students and class IVB as the control group with a total of 15 students. Based on the results, discussion, and data calculation with a significant level (α) 0.05 and dk = 15-1 = 14. The value of tcount = 4.4 is obtained, so it can be concluded that tcount > ttable or 4.4 > 1.761, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that this hypothesis states that the research conducted has a significant effect on the use of outdoor learning methods on the ability to make organic batik collages typical of PALI Regency in SBdP learning for grade IV students. Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Putri Biyuku's story reading material on the reading interest of SD Negeri 4 Talang Kelapa students. The method used in this research is a quantitative method with an experimental type. The design used is the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population in the study amounted to 56 students while the sample used in the study was class V B, which consisted of 27 students. Data collection techniques used observation, questionnaires, documentation. The results of data analysis were carried out by normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing. Data analysis on the results of students' reading interest obtained a tcount value of 5.779 where the ttable was 1.706. So it can be concluded that tcount > ttable, thus Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, and it is stated that there is an influence of Putri Biyuku's reading material on students' reading interest in SD Negeri 4 Talang Kelapa. Metode yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini ialah metode kuantitatif dengan tipe eksperimen. Desain yang dipakai ialah One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Populasi dalam penelitian berjumlah 56 siswa sedangkan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah kelas V B yang berjumlah 27 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, angket, dokumentasi, Hasil analisa data dilakukan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji hipotesis. Analisa data hasil minat baca siswa diperoleh nilai thitung yaitu 5,779 dimana ttabel yaitu1,706. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa thitung> t tabeldengan demikian Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima, dan dinyatakan bahwa ada pengaruh bahan bacaan putri biyuku terhadap minat baca siswa SD Negeri 4 Talang Kelapa.
