The main problem of this study was “Is there any significant effect on the tenth grade students’ reading comprehension achievement after being taught through flexible grouping strategy and those who are not?” Therefore, the objective of this study was to investigate the effect of flexible grouping strategy on the tenth grade students’ reading comprehension achievement of Senior High school students of Daarul Aitam Palembang. This study applied pre-experimental method with pre-test and post-test design. The population of this study was all the tenth grade students of Senior High School of Daarul Aitam Palembang, in the Academic Year of 2019/2020 with the total number 56 students. The sample was 29 students were in experimental group from X IPA. In collecting the data, a multiple choices and true or false test of narrative text was used, and the data were analyzed by using IBM SPSS Statistic. The result of this study showed that the experimental group students’ average score in pretest was 58.7, and in post-test it was 74.05. The value of t-obtained was 300.86 where the value of t-table was 1.70. It was assumed that the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. Besides that there was significant difference on the eighth grade students’ reading achievement between those who are taught by using flexible grouping strategy and those who are not taught in Senior High School of Daarul Aitam Palembang. The results of using flexible grouping strategy revealed an improvement for students reading achievement. Keywords: Teaching, Reading, Narrative Text, Flexible Grouping

Tema kegiatan Pengabdian ini adalah Penerapan Media Interaktif aplikasi Johnny Grammar’s Word Challenge pada Pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris yang berlokasi di SMA Negeri 11 Palembang. Tema ini dipilih karena saat ini, sebagian besar siswa menggunakan ponsel hanya untuk bermain game, berinteraksi di media sosial, dan berkomunikasi satu sama lain. Dengan penerapan media aplikasi Johnny Grammar’s Word Challenge merupakan metode yang baik dan tepat untuk memperkenalkan siswa dalam mempelajari Irreguler Verb, sehingga bisa meningkatkan kemampuan tata bahasa siswa dalam Bahasa Inggris. Kegiatan Peengabdian ini dilakukan dengan pemberian materi media aplikasi Johnny Grammar’s Word Challenge oleh tim dosen kemudian dilanjutkan dengan diskusi tanya jawab yang didampingi oleh dosen dan mahasiswa. Dengan menggunakan aplikasi ini, para siswa dan guru lebih antusias dan tertarik serta mudah memahami tata bahasa khususnya Irreguler Verb dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mendengar siswa SMA Ethika Palembang dengan menggunakan aplikasi cake. Penulis menerapkan metode pra-eksperimen. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XII SMA Ethika Palembang tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Sampelnya adalah siswa kelas XII IPS yang berjumlah 21 siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan purposive sampling dalam pengambilan sampel. Penulis menggunakan tes dan angket untuk mengumpulkan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan mendengarkan siswa memiliki nilai yang buruk pada pre-test. Setelah perawatan, kemampuan mendengarkan mereka meningkat secara signifikan. Terlihat dari skor mereka yang berubah menjadi bagus. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa aplikasi cake efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mendengar siswa. Data dari angket menunjukkan bahwa siswa memiliki persepsi positif terhadap penerapan penggunaan aplikasi cake. Berdasarkan hasil uji-t, penelitian menemukan bahwa ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil pre-test dan post-test. Dari nilai signifikansi penelitian (sig 0,000 < p 0,05), berarti hipotesis nol (Ho) ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif (H1) diterima.

Kepraktisan perangkat dilihat dari keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, respon dan minat siswa. menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan berbahasa inggris. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa multimedia interaktif berbasis inkuiri yang dikembangkan layak digunakan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dan melatih keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dalam membaca Bahasa Inggris.

Abstrak Masalah dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat siswa yang masih rendah dalam membaca, oleh karena itu tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh media pembelajaran scrabble terhadap keltelrampilan melmbaca siswa kellas IV di SD Nelgelri 229 Palelmbang. Sampel pada pepelnellitian ini yaitu melngmenggunakan 2 kellas yaitu IV.B dan IV.C yang dimana IV. B belrjumlah 24 siswa dan IV.C belrjumlah 22 siswa.Meltoldel pelnellitian ini melnggunakanmeltoldel pelnellitian elkspelrimeln yang telrmasuk keldalammeltoldel kuantitatif danmeltoldel pelngumpulan data melnggunakan tels dan dolkumelntasi. Telknik analisis data melngmenggunakan uji nolrmalitas, uji holmolgelnitas dan uji indelpelndelnt T-tels yang melnunjukkan bahwa Hol ditollak dan dan Ha ditelrima. Pelnellitian ini melnggunakan bahwa telrdapat pelngaruh meldia pelmbellajaran scrabblel telrhadap keltelrampilan melmbaca siswa kellas IV di SD Nelgelri 229 Palelmbang.Kata Kunci : Meldia Pelmbellajaran, Meldia Scrabblel, Keltelrampilan Melmbaca.Abstrak Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah masih terdapat siswa yang rendah dalam membaca, oleh karena itu tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh media pembelajaran Scrabble terhadap keterampilan membaca siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 229 Palelmbang. Sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan 2 kelas yaitu IV.B dan IV.C, whelrel IV. B berjumlah 24 siswa dan IV.C berjumlah 22 siswa. Peleburan relselarch ini menggunakan lelehan relselarch elxpelrimelntal yang termasuk dalam lelehan kuantitatif dan pengumpulan data lelehan menggunakan telsts dan dolcumelntatioln. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah nolrmality telst, holmolgelnelity telst dan indelpelndelnt T-telst yang menunjukkan bahwa Hol adalah reljelcteld dan Ha adalah accelpteld. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa rel tersebut berpengaruh terhadap pembelajaran Scrabblel meldia pada keterampilan berhubungan siswa kelas IV SD Nelgelri 229 Palelmbang.Kata Kunci: Media Pembelajaran Media Scarabble, Keterampilan Membaca.

This research aims to determine the application of the English day program to improve the students' speaking performance. The formulation of the problem in this research is how the English day program improve the students' speaking performance. This research used descriptive qualitative method. The data were collected by triangulation, namely observation, interview, oral tests, and documentation. In this teachers' strategy, students challenge by remember vocabulary, singing and daily conversations, then students present them in front of the class. The results of the data show that the speaking performance from students of XI Social 2 class at SMA Negeri 8 Palembang has increased but, they got special difficulties whilst the researcher gave an oral test, but the maximum common problem became their lack of confidence and vocabulary in speaking.

The main problem of this study is “What were the eleventh grade students’ perception on the use Johnny grammar’s word challenge application in learning prepositions and the impact of Johnny grammar’s word challenge application the eleventh grade at PGRI Vocational High School 2 of Palembang?â€. This study aimed to investigate the eleventh grade students’ perception on the use Johnny grammar’s word challenge application in learning prepositions at PGRI Vocational High School 2 of Palembang. This data acquired from questionnaires based on four indicators, this research used a descriptive qualitative method in this study. Based on the achievement of the questionnaire, it can be concluded that all indicator high category shows that amounts to 9 (16.36%) students which means the students have comprehension ability is fair, the indicator medium category shows that amounts to 41(74.54%) students which means all of the students understand Johnny Grammar’s Word Challenge Application and the low category shows that amounts to 11 (20%) students which means the students half of them can not able to understand Johnny Grammar’s Word Challenge Application. So, it can be concluded that using Johnny Grammar’s Word Challenge Application can help students learn prepositions

The main of this study  “was there any significant effect on the Second semester students’ reading comprehension achievement after being taught by using Bilingual Story Book and those who are not? The population of  this study was the second semester PGSD Study Program FKIP University PGRI of Palembang in academic year 2019/2020. The total number of the population was 120 students, The sample consisted of 36 students of 2O and 36 students of 2Q. The method of the research was the experimental method and the data were collected through written test in multiple choice form. The test was administrated twice as the pre-test and post-test. The result were analyzed by using t-test. The students’ average score of pretest in control class of 2O were 59.20 and 6.12. While the students’ average score of post test in experimental class of 2Q were 6.52 and 7.13. And By using those result, it was found that the result of this research based on her students’ average score of post test in experimental and control class was 4.779 that is higher than its the critical value. The null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted.

The objective of this study was to find out whether or not there is significant difference on teaching writing narrative paragraph through Roundtable Technique to the tenth grade students of Gajah Mada Vocational High School of Palembang. This study applied quasi-experimental method with non-equivalent control group design. The population of this study was all tenth grade students of Gajah Mada Vocational High School of Palembang, in the academic year of 2021/2022 with the total number of 216 students. The samples were 72 students, 36 students were in experimental group from X.1 class and 36 students were in control group from X.2 class taken by using purposive sampling. In collecting the data, a written test of the recount text was used, and the data were analyzed by using Application of IBM SPSS Statistics 23. The result of this study showed that the experimental group students’ average score in pre-test, it was 64.32, and in post-test, it was 71.66 while the control group students’ average score in pre-test was 64.50 and in post-test, it was 65.70. The value of t-obtained was (3.843) which were higher than the value of t-table (2.004) at the significance 0.05 in two tailed-test with 54 (df). It was assumed that the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. It means that there was significant difference on teaching writing of Gajah Mada Vocational High School of Palembang and those who were not.
