Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to find out about the effect of plant growth regulators BAP on induction and multiplication shoots of broccoli Brassica oleracae L. var. italica Plenck. This study has been carried out at the Laboratory of Biotechnology Faculty of Agriculture for 3 months starting from April to July 2016. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD), which consists of a single factor, namely the concentration of BAP with 6 treatments and 4 replications. Shoots of broccoli isolated from sterile sprouts and maintained on shoots induction medium consisting of Murashige and Skoog basic medium. Benzylaminopurine (BAP) with a concentration of 1 ppm to 5 ppm is added to the media for inducing and multiplication shoots of broccoli. Results of the study showed that with a concentration of 1 ppm BAP,2 ppm and 5 ppm induce shoots faster than other treatments while the number of buds Award BAP concentration of 1 ppm, 4 ppm and 5 ppm produced the highest number of shoots among other treatments.Keywords: Shoots of broccoli, Benzilaminopurin, induction and multiplication

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of concentration of liquid organic fertilizer (POC) on growth and yield on cucumber plants. This research was carried out in the village of Kolongan Tetempangan, Kalawat District, North Minahasa Regency for 2 months from July to August 2018. This research was conducted using the Completely Randomized Design method, with five treatments and four replications, namely the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer: 0 ml POC /2l water (P0), 2 ml POC /2l water (P1), 4 ml POC /2l water (P2), 6 ml POC /2l water (P3) and 8 ml POC /2l water (P4). Observations were made on each plant with observational variables, namely plant height, number of leaves, flowering time, number of flowers, number of fruits, fruit length, fruit diameter and fruit weight. The results showed that the administration of liquid organic fertilizer G Tonik has not given a significant effect on the growth of cucumber plants, but it has an effect on the production of cucumber plants in this case the fruit weight. Abstract

ABSTRACT CALLUS INDUCTION ON AREN (Arenga pinnata Merr.) IN VITRO USING 2,4-D This study aims to obtain the optimal concentration of ZPT (growth regulator) 2,4-D for in vitro induction of palm callus.The research was conducted in January - May 2020 at the Laboratory of the Manado Palm Plant Research Institute.This study used MS media (Murashige and Skoog) and 5 concentrations (treatment) of 2,4-D, each treatment was repeated 5 times so that the number of experimental units was 25 bottles of culture, namely the initial concentration using 2,4-D 2 mg /l, 3 mg / l, 4 mg / l, 5 mg / l, and 6 mg / l, while for the concentration of 2,4-D after sub-culture, namely, 6 mg / l, 7 mg / l, 8 mg /l, 9 mg / l, and 10 mg / l.The results showed that the treatment of 2,4-D at a dose of 6 mg / l and 10 mg / l could induce callus on sugar palm. Abstract

ABSTRAKDendrobium orchids are one of the favorite orchid genera for orchid lovers. This is becausethis orchid is able to adapt to various growing environmental conditions. The growth media in tissueculture has a very big influence on the growth and development of the explants and the seeds itproduces. Cytokinins that play a role in stimulating cell division and inducing shoot formation. Someextracts of organic materials that are often used in plant tissue culture are extracts of tomatoes, corn,bananas and coconut water. This study aims to determine the best results of using cytokinins andextracts of organic matter and coconut water for in-vitro growth of Dendrobium orchids. This researchis a library research, which is a series of studies that are concerned with the method of collectinglibrary data, or research where the object of research is explored through various library information(books, encyclopedias, scientific journals and documents). The data used in this research is secondarydata. The data collection method used in this research is the documentation method. . The data analysisused in this study was annotated bibliography analysis.Based on research conducted in the form of literature searches, it can be concluded that byusing growth regulators cytokinins (in this case BAP) and extracts of organic matter, banana extract,tomato extract, corn extract and coconut water, it turns out that the best results are obtained with theuse of growth regulators Cytokinins ( namely BAP) 3 ppm with tomato extract organic matter.Kata Kunci: Zat Pengatur Tumbuh, Bahan Organik, Anggrek Dendrobium
