Abstract

As time goes by, advances in technology and finance have made it easier for people to make financial transactions, including accessing online lending services. The increase in the use of social media has also contributed to the rise of consumerism in society, including among Christians. As a result, there has been an increase in the use of online loan services. The relationship between temptation in James 1:14 and the ease of access to financial services in a highly advanced society like today’s is interesting to further investigate. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using a theological approach. The phenomenon of online lending has infiltrated the lives of Christian youth today, and this has led many people to fall into temptation. Some of them follow their own personal desires to meet their own consumerism level. However, every temptation has a purpose to test human faith. This test improves and strengthens the faith that already exists in believers, resulting in the wholeness of divine character during the sanctification process in their lives.

Abstract

This research aims to explore and understand the meaning of social togetherness in the community carried out by followers of Ugamo Malim and the Protestants. Social togetherness is defined as the interaction, involvement, and relationship between individuals in a community group. Through a field research method with a descriptive qualitative approach, this research focuses on two different communities, namely Ugamo Malim followers and the Protestants. The methodological steps involved data collection through in-depth interviews as the main instrument. Interviews were conducted with three resource persons from each of the Ugamo Malim and the Protestants parties to gain an in-depth understanding of the concept of social togetherness. The qualitative data collected will be carefully analyzed to identify patterns, values, and beliefs that shape the meaning of social togetherness in the two communities. The results of the study are expected to provide a deep insight into how Ugamo Malim followers and the Protestants interpret and experience social togetherness. The comparison between the two groups is expected to identify similarities and differences in perceptions, practices, and values that underlie social togetherness. The implications of this research are expected to contribute to a cross-cultural understanding of the importance of social togetherness in shaping community solidarity and cohesion.

Abstract

Kesehatan mental berperan penting dalam pertumbuhan dan perkembangan siswa secara holistik. Dalam konteks sekolah, siswa remaja yang mengalami gangguan pada kesehatan mentalnya akan mengalami gangguan pada proses pembelajarannya, sehingga hasil belajar menjadi kurang optimal. Guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen (PAK) memiliki peranan yang penting dalam mendukung kesehatan mental anak didiknya yang memasuki masa remaja, sehingga siswa remaja dapat mengembangkan potensi yang ada dalam dirinya. Pendekatan model Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) dalam pembelajaran merupakan pendekatan yang dapat membantu perkembangan sosial-emosional siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis model SEL dalam PAK untuk penguatan kesehatan mental siswa remaja. Metode studi pustaka digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Penulis meninjau literatur dari berbagai sumber, seperti jurnal ilmiah, web ilmiah, dan buku, untuk mengembangkan konsep-konsep yang relevan tentang SEL. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan model SEL berbasis kasih Kristus dalam Pendidikan Agama Kristen dapat menguatkan kesehatan mental siswa remaja. Model SEL dalam pembelajaran di kelas mampu menurunkan kecemasan dan stres siswa, meningkatkan kompetensi psikososial, dan menguatkan kesehatan mental. Guru PAK memiliki peranan yang krusial dalam memberikan dukungan bagi kesehatan mental siswa. Dukungan guru PAK yang menghadirkan kasih Kristus menjadi dasar yang penting untuk pengembangan model SEL di kelas PAK. Iklim kelas yang menghadirkan kasih Kristus dalam model SEL di kelas PAK menjadi fondasi yang kuat bagi kesehatan mental siswa remaja.
