The study examined the multifaceted benefits of involving youth in preventative and intervention strategies to curb delinquent behaviors. Through a comprehensive literature review and analysis, the research highlighted key findings. 1) Early intervention and prevention programs targeting at-risk youth offer a promising approach to disrupting the trajectory of delinquent behaviors. Engaging the younger generation through mentorship, education, and community involvement equips them with essential life skills and values that act as deterrents. 2)The influence of peers and positive role models plays a vital role in shaping behavior. 3) Empowering young individuals to take ownership of change promotes a sense of responsibility and agency. 4) The effective communication methods employed by the youth, such as social media, facilitate the dissemination of anti-delinquency messages. The research emphasized the long-term societal impact of involving the youth. By nurturing responsible, empathetic individuals, society sets the stage for sustained positive change, as engaged youth transition into responsible adults who contribute positively to their communities. Collaborative approaches that involve young individuals in understanding the root causes of delinquency led to more comprehensive solutions. Abstract

This study examines the influence of foreign pop culture on the narrative and aesthetics of contemporary Indonesian films. In the era of globalization, Indonesian filmmakers face the challenge of adapting global elements while preserving local identity. This research employs a qualitative approach by analyzing several Indonesian films, such as Gundala, Yuni, and Impetigore, which exhibit a unique blend of global and local themes. The findings reveal that foreign pop culture plays a significant role in shaping modern and globally competitive narrative structures and visual aesthetics while maintaining Indonesian cultural values. However, the risk of cultural homogenization remains a challenge. With the right adaptation strategies, Indonesian films can strengthen their position as cultural representations that are both globally and locally relevant. This study aims to contribute to the development of the Indonesian film industry amidst the influence of cultural globalization.

Abstract

The accelerating development of artificial intelligence (AI) has increasingly reshaped English as a Foreign Language (EFL) pedagogy, particularly in supporting language learning and linguistic development in higher education contexts. This study aims to critically examine the opportunities, challenges, and pedagogical implications of AI integration, with a specific emphasis on language skills development, particularly writing and speaking. Employing a qualitative research design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis involving English lecturers and EFL students. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify recurring patterns and experiences related to AI-supported language learning. The findings indicate that AI significantly enhances language learning by supporting the development of writing accuracy, grammatical control, and speaking fluency through immediate and adaptive feedback. AI also promotes learner autonomy and increases engagement in language production activities, enabling students to practice language skills beyond classroom constraints. However, challenges were identified, including students’ overreliance on AI-generated outputs and limited deep processing of linguistic forms. This study contributes to the growing body of research on AI in English language education by providing qualitative insights into how AI supports language learning processes and language skills development. The findings offer practical implications for designing pedagogically grounded AI-assisted language learning environments.
