Abstract

Community Service (PkM) is carried out by the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Methodist Indonesia by providing counselling how to prepare the Gold Generation. PkM was held on 8-11 June 2022 at Lumban Pea Timur, Balige,Toba District, North Sumatera. The method used is to provide counselling/lectures and provide motivation, then followed by question and answer to obtain results and solutions as a form of solving problems and obstacles faced. The results of PkM with counselling are very effective considering that there are still many people who do not get information about the meaning of Gold Generation. With this counselling, the public becomes aware of the Gold Generation. Thus, it is hoped that the people of Lumban Pea Timur will aware and know how to prepare the Gold Generation for their community

Abstract

Medan is one of the cities that prioritizes education is one of the benchmarks of improving the quality and capacity of human resources. During 2022, the number of secondary school students reached 229,945 people, of which the number of students who experienced mental disorders was around 5,560 people. This situation is not only caused by the family environment, but also due to a free lifestyle, where this free lifestyle they students already know the name of liquor and narcotics, and eat food that is not in accordance with what is required by the health office in Medan City. This study used descriptive longitudinal analytical method. The population of this study amounted to 29,100 people who experienced reproductive health problems, where reproductive health problems would cause sexual diseases. The population of this study amounted to 5,560 high school students in Medan City who experienced mental disorders, where the sample taken amounted to 68 high school students in Medan City who experienced mental disorders. The results stated that the number of high school students who experience many mental disorders are high school students in East Medan District who are in the age range of 15-19 years, where these mental disorders are mostly due to using risky things, such as drinking and narcotics.

Abstract

The residents of Medan City have not been able to increase efforts in preventing the occurrence of non-communicable disease infections caused by unhealthy lifestyles and lack of regular health checks or checks. This study used descriptive analytical method. The population of this study amounted to 3,200 residents affected by non-communicable diseases who were hospitalized in Medan City, where the samples taken amounted to 61 residents affected by non-communicable diseases who were hospitalized in Medan City. The results of the study explained that the population affected by many non-communicable diseases is residents in Medan Kota District in the age range of 15-20 years, where these non-communicable diseases arise due to not following a healthy lifestyle by eating foods that have nutrients and have not been carried out regular full-body examinations.
