Abstract

The student movement is part of a social movement and is the most important factor in realizing social change. The democracy index in the era of Joko Widodo's administration shows a downward trend, this encourages the increase in the Indonesian student movement. Several policies of the Joko Widodo government are seen as Contrary to the interests of the community, such as the revision of the KPK Law, the drafting of the omnibus law, and the arrest of activists of civil society movements. This article explains specifically the student movements that existed during the Jokowi presidency during the first period and the second period. The research data obtained were analyzed and interpreted to see the extent to which the student movement had an impact on government policy. In the era of Jokowi's leadership, the student movement continues to oversee the government's agenda through controversial policies. In the second period under Jokowi's leadership, the student movement was still carried out and never stopped taking action as a result of several government policies that were not in favor of the community.

Abstract

This study aims to show the factors in the successful implementation of inclusive education in Indonesia. And what causes obstacles to the implementation of inclusive education. This study uses a literature review through reading media from several national and international journals in the last 10 years that meet the criteria. The results show that the implementation of inclusive education in Indonesia has been quite successful in several big cities. This success is due to several supporting factors such as the existence of special educators, class management, and curriculum. However, there are still many small cities in Indonesia that are still not successful due to the unavailability of adequate facilities and lack of information about the inclusive education system. The government should not only pay attention to big cities but also pay attention to the problem of implementing inclusive education in small cities and make it easier to see data on the number of students with disabilities each year.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the political pragmatism of Nahdlatul Ulama in Joko Widodo administration. As a socio-religious organization with a strong mass base, it can accompany NU's political fluctuations, both internally and externally. Many consider the political actions of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) to be pragmatic. In a sense, NU's political actions were motivated by the motivation to gain status and power because they were very pro-government in the past and in recent years, especially during the reign of President Jokowi. To answer this problem, Ekowati's theory of political pragmatism is used which is then supported by James S. Coleman's rational choice theory. The data were collected through the literature contained in books, journals and other online sources that are representative and relevant and analyzed qualitatively using a literature approach. This study concludes that in theory it is true that NU has taken pragmatic steps in politics. However, on the other hand, NU does all of this in accordance with the existing Qoidah Fiqh, and indeed NU's politics has never really departed from the foundations contained in Fiqh.

Abstract

Education creates reliable and competitive people resources, which determines a nation's success. Scholarship policies have a substantial impact on the growth of a nation, particularly in terms of enhancing the quality of human resources and access to quality education. Open access to education can help establish an improved education system. The Excellence Scholarships Program is part of the Indonesian government's goal to produce trustworthy and competitive human resources. This research used a qualitative descriptive methodology by tracing official government documents associated with the Excellence Scholarships program. This report analyzes the 2019-2020 implementation and impact of Indonesia's main scholarship program.  This study examined program implementation using descriptive-qualitative research. According to the findings of this study, 2025 undergraduates won scholarships in the last two years. The procedures and aid distribution of the Excellence scholarship program are effective because they adhere to the predetermined flow and conditions, however, future improvements are required for the implementation of these scholarship programs: first, improving the principle of equal distribution of scholarship recipients to combat inequality, particularly in eastern Indonesia; and second, providing equal opportunities. This research also suggests further research could look into how the excellence scholarships program enhances scholarship recipients' quality of life and human resources.
