Abstract

The use of social media has grown commonplace in today's culture. Every social media user now has a place to call their own in the digital age. Tiktok is one of the most popular and distinctive social media platforms, and it frequently abuses women through its many 'challenges' for content such as elbow sticking challange. This study takes a non-positivistic approach to the phenomena that occur in the society with a critical interpretive approach. Observations done in TikTok activities and engaging in interactions with TikTok users to be able to understand and uncover the commodification practices of women that occur in TikTok. This study revealed how intertextual the commodification of women in Tiktok was using a critical method that leverages Julia Kristeva's post-modern feminist outlook as a conceptual framework. The findings of this study reveal that the body, women, and culture are interwoven and produce meaning, which overrides earlier meanings by establishing new meanings that exploit Tiktok users, particularly women, which is consistent with media evolution, which also influences value meaning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana implementasi dan pengelolaan fitur LAKSA pada aplikasi Tangerang Live. Fitur LAKSA merupakan ruang virtual yang disediakan Pemerintah Kota Tangerang dalam menjawab tantangan pelayanan prima kepada masyarakat Kota Tangerang di era siber, khususnya dalam hal penampung saran maupun pengaduan terkait permasalahan yang ada di wilayah Kota Tangerang. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, dengan perolehan data yang dilakukan dengan observasi, studi lapangan, wawancara mendalam serta studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa fitur LAKSA dalam pengelolaanya bekerja dengan cepat dan terukur, hal ini menjadi kinerja baik Pemerintah Kota Tangerang untuk selalu membangun kredibilitas Pemerintah dan secara langsung dapat membangun citra Kota Tangerang dalam menerapkan E-Government di Pemerintahan Kota Tangerang. Sehingga dalam penelitian ini dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa fitur LAKSA pada aplikasi Tangerang Live berhasil menjadi jembatan penghubung antara masyarakat dengan Pemerintah dalam hal pelayanan. Kesan tidak transparan dan birokrasi yang rumit di mata masyarakat berubah dengan adanya fitur LAKSA ini.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to discuss the innovation of the Public Service Mall in South Tangerang City as a forum for Regional Apparatus Organizations in improving the quality of public services in South Tangerang City. This research uses the theory of public service innovation. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative method. The quality of public services in Indonesia in general is still relatively low, as can be seen from several indicators such as the level of public satisfaction, professionalism of human resources, the effectiveness and efficiency of the system used has not been managed properly. The findings of this study state that in the aspect of Leadership, the Head of the Investment and One-Stop Service Service carries out a democratic and transformative leadership style. In terms of management, mpp South Tangerang City has developed technology-based services to make it easier for residents. In terms of risk management, the South Tangerang City MPP early on mitigated the problem by improving the internet network. From the aspect of human capital, the human resources in the MPP of South Tangerang City have met academic qualifications, experienced, and competent. In terms of technology, the services contained in the Mpp of South Tangerang City are developed and can be accessed easily through various applications. This research concludes that the existence of a Public Service Mall in the city of South Tangerang has been running in accordance with orders from the direction of the Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (KEMENPANRB) to present the latest innovations in modern, effective and efficient public services.

Abstract

Communication strategy is planning in providing messages through a combination of various communication elements such as frequency, formality, content and communication channels so that the message conveyed is easily received and understood and can change attitudes or behavior in accordance with the purpose of communication. According to Effendy (2011) A communication strategy is an effective plan in pushing messages so that the communicant can easily understand and accept what has been conveyed so that it can change a person's attitude or behavior. Researchers analyzed the communication strategy implemented by the Cilegon city social service in building community empowerment through layanan terpadu mari sinergi. Layanan terpadu mari sinergi is a service from the Cilegon city social service since 2019. This service has 24-hour access to the community. These services can be accessed through social media or come directly to the office. The Social Service makes these services so that they can be close and easy to communicate with the community. Layanan terpadu mari sinergi, serving people who need medical assistance, displaced people who have no identity and people with disabilities, as well as social problems that interfere with community and social life. With layanan terpadu mari sinergi, social services hope to be able to communicate directly and closely with the community. The program collaborates with Cilegon city government agencies, police services, population registration services, employment services, hospitals and shelter homes. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The research data is in the form of information in the field, namely the Cilegon City Social Service neglecting interview discussions and observations. The title of this research comes from a field worker who focuses on integrated complaint terpadu mari sinergi. The results of this study indicate that the Cilegon city social service carried out a communication strategy to implement an integrated service program for the community in accordance with communication science. Among them is the Government to conduct communication persuasion in the service program. Government social services also use communication media as a tool to provide information, socialize programs and overcome problems that occur in society. Continuous two-way communication between social services and residents is expected to be able to create conditions for a healthy and safe social life. Keywords: Communication strategy, Layanan terpadu mari sinergi, social services AbstrakStrategi komunikasi adalah perencanaan dalam penyampaian pesan melalui kombinasi berbagai unsur komunikasi seperti frekuensi, formalitas, isi dan saluran komunikasi sehingga pesan yang disampaikan mudah diterima dan dipahami serta dapat mengubah sikap atau perilaku sesuai dengan tujuan komunikasi. Menurut Effendy (2011) Strategi komunikasi adalah perencanaan yang efektif dalam penyampaian pesan sehingga mudah dipahami oleh komunikan dan bisa menerima apa yang telah disampaikan sehingga bisa mengubah sikap atau perilaku seseorang. Peneliti menganalisis strategi komunikasi yang di terapkan oleh dinas sosial kota cilegon dalam membangun pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui layanan terpadu mari sinergi. Layanan terpadu mari sinergi merupakan pelayanan Dinas sosial kota cilegon sejak 2019. layanan tersebut memiliki akses 24 jam kepada masyrakat. Layanan tersebut bisa diakses melalui media sosial atau datang langsung ke kantor. Dinas sosial membuat layanan tersebut agar bisa dekat dan mudah berkomunikasi dengan masyarakat. Layanan terpadu mari sinergi, melayani masyarakat yang membutuhkan pertolongan medis, masyarakat terlantar yang tidak memiliki identitas dan penyandang disabilitas, serta permasalahan- permasalahan sosial yang mengganggu kehidupan bermasyarakat dan bersosial. Dengan adanya layanan terpadu mari sinergi, dinas sosial berharap bisa berkomunikasi langsung dan dekat dengan masyarakat. Program tersebut bekerja sama dengan dinas pemerintah kota cilegon, dinas kepolisian, dinas catatan kependudukan, dinas ketenagakerjaan, Rumah sakit dan  rumah singgah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian berupa informasi di lapangan yaitu Dinas sosial kota cilegon melalaui diskusi wawancara dan observasi. Judul penelitian ini bersumber dari pekerja lapangan yang berfokus dalam bidang  layanan pengaduan terpadu mari sinergi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa, dinas sosial kota cilegon melakukan srategi komunikasi untuk menerapkan program layanan terpadu kepada masyarakat sesuai dengan ilmu komunikasi. Diantaranya adalah Pemerintah melakukan persuasi komunikasi dalam program layanan tersebut. Pemerintah dinas sosial juga menggunakan media komunikasi sebagai alat untuk  memberi informasi, mensosialiasikan program dan mengatasi sebuah permasalahan yang terjadi di masyarakat. Komunikasi dua arah yg saling berkesinambung antara dinsos dan warga diharapakan mampu menciptakan kondisi kehidupan sosial yang sehat dan aman.

Abstract

The socialization of the benefits of tree planting in Bugel Village is part of an effort to support the greening program initiated by the Tangerang City Government. This activity was carried out by lecturers as a form of community service, with the aim of increasing awareness and participation of residents in protecting the environment through tree planting. Taking place in the NU Branch Hall of Bugel Village, this socialization was attended by residents and local community leaders. The material presented included ecological benefits, such as carbon dioxide absorption, reducing air pollution, and preventing soil erosion, as well as benefits for health and quality of life, including reducing stress and improving air quality. In addition, the economic and social benefits of greening were also discussed, such as increasing property values ??and creating green spaces that support social interaction. This activity aims to build collective awareness of residents in preserving the environment, as well as contributing to the achievement of greening targets in urban areas. Through this socialization, it is hoped that residents can be more actively involved in the tree planting movement and support the creation of a greener and more sustainable environment in Tangerang City.

Abstract

This study examines the ecological injustice experienced by women in Wadas Village as a result of the National Strategic Project involving andesite mining for the construction of the Bener Dam in Central Java, Indonesia. It aims to evaluate the critical role of women in combating environmental degradation while advocating for gender equality and sustainable development. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, the research utilizes data sourced from scientific articles, online media, and legal documents. The findings reveal that the Wadon Wadas movement, spearheaded by women, has effectively resisted repression and navigated legal challenges through various forms of protest and legal action, highlighting community resilience and a commitment to environmental conservation. The study concludes that women's movements can effectively challenge state policies that jeopardize ecological and social well-being, with the potential to influence public policy and safeguard natural resources.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pengaruh penggunaan media sosial terhadap kesehatan mental generasi Z, dengan fokus pada aspek perbandingan sosial, kecemasan, dan stres. Mengingat bahwa generasi Z merupakan pengguna aktif media sosial, penelitian ini dilakukan melalui survei online yang melibatkan 100 responden berusia 12 hingga 27 tahun. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media sosial yang intensif berhubungan positif dengan peningkatan tingkat kecemasan dan stres di kalangan mahasiswa. Melalui pendekatan kuantitatif, data dikumpulkan mengenai pola penggunaan media sosial dan dampaknya terhadap persepsi produktivitas individu. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa 31,9% variabilitas kesehatan mental dapat dijelaskan oleh penggunaan media sosial, sedangkan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi praktik penggunaan media sosial yang sehat untuk membantu generasi Z memanfaatkan platform ini secara positif dan meminimalkan risiko terhadap kesehatan mental mereka. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini memberikan wawasan penting mengenai hubungan antara media sosial dan kesehatan mental yang dapat menjadi acuan bagi pengembangan strategi intervensi di kalangan generasi muda.

Abstract

Wadas Village in Purworejo faces environmental destruction due to planned andesite mining for the Bener Dam, threatening local resources and the community's socio-economic life. Muhammadiyah and NU play key roles in supporting residents' efforts to protect the environment and social justice. This study examines their involvement in maintaining environmental sustainability and social justice in Wadas Village, focusing on their contributions to organizing the community. A qualitative approach with a case study method was used in this research. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with residents, Muhammadiyah and NU members, and observations of advocacy activities and actions carried out by both organizations. The data were analyzed thematically. The findings show that Muhammadiyah and NU are actively involved in legal advocacy, scientific research, and religious activities, such as mujahaddah at local mosques, to build social awareness and strengthen the residents' resistance to harmful policies. The struggle of Wadas residents is closely linked to the active roles of Muhammadiyah and NU in fostering social solidarity, collective awareness, and environmental sustainability advocacy. This study highlights the significant contribution of religious organizations in social and environmental movements and their influence on public policies favoring the community.

Abstract

Dangdut music performances with their dangdut biduan have become an inseparable part of culture and tradition, specifically in Tangerang City, Banten Province, Indonesia. Dangdut music is often present at various events, ranging from celebrations to big events in the city. However, the public's view of this profession still varies; therefore, symbolic interaction is essential in shaping the image of dangdut biduan (singer) so that it can influence public views. The purpose of this study is to understand the role of symbolic interaction in creating the self-image of dangdut both on stage (front stage) and in their roles as housewives (backstage), as well as to determine the response or perception of the community to the formed self-image by dangdut singers from this symbolic interaction by employing a qualitative descriptive research method through a dramaturgy approach. Data collection methods included in-depth interviews, participant observations, and documentation. A triangulation method was used to ensure the validity of the data. Data analysis techniques included data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions drawn. The results of this study show that symbolic interaction has a central role in forming a positive image for dangdut singers through attractive physical performance, adaptability to the music played, interaction with the audience, and teamwork. The ability to effectively communicate and adapt to others is crucial in providing a special experience on stage. In addition to being a housewife, symbolic interactions also combine commitment, balance, communication, and family support to create a positive and motivating image. The positive response from colleagues, the social environment, and the audience reflects humility and an attitude that is in harmony with the culture of dangdut biduan, so that it is in harmony with the wider community.

Abstract

Komunikasi pembangunan memiliki peran krusial dalam memperkuat ketahanan pangan dengan memfasilitasi pertukaran informasi, mendorong kolaborasi, dan meningkatkan pemberdayaan masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji model komunikasi pembangunan dalam upaya penguatan ketahanan pangan berkelanjutan di wilayah pedesaan. Mengacu pada teori Julia T. Wood (2015), penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui studi literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model komunikasi transaksional yang dikemukakan oleh Julia T. Wood (2015) dapat menjadi pendekatan efektif dalam komunikasi pembangunan terkait ketahanan pangan berkelanjutan. Pendekatan komunikasi yang menekankan interaksi dua arah, mempertimbangkan pengalaman petani, mengatasi hambatan komunikasi, serta memperhitungkan konteks sosial dan budaya berkontribusi pada peningkatan efektivitas program ketahanan pangan di pedesaan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan strategi komunikasi yang lebih partisipatif, inklusif, dan berorientasi pada kebutuhan lokal untuk memastikan keberlanjutan program ketahanan pangan.
