Abstract

Elementary school teachers in Cluster Dewi Kunthi Gunungpati Semarang still need to become skilled at creating learning videos. Due to misunderstanding, the teacher's educational background is not in educational technology, and the experience of creating learning videos is minimal. This service aims to provide enrichment, skills, evaluation, and creation of learning media. The material provided is Powtoon-based learning video creation skills. The learning media used are in the form of Powtoon-based learning videos and learning media modules. The use of learning media will make it easier for elementary school children to absorb the material. The method used is direct and guided learning. Community service activities were conducted for eight months, with eight training meetings and guidance. Direct learning is done by conditioning the teacher as a participant, following and conducting copyright training, and evaluating learning videos. Skills and evaluation materials are carried out in 6 meetings. Supervised is intended to carry out direct supervision, coaching, and training. The service results show that teachers master making Powtoon-based videos, as evidenced by the collection of learning videos. The service succeeded in increasing teacher skills in creating Powtoon-based learning videos.

Abstract

Less varied and less integrated learning materials with technology causing students had limited learning materials and coverage. Thus, the local wisdom-based interactive flipbook developed in this study was expected to provide learning materials and real problems so that students are encouraged to respond critically and finally have their critical thinking ability improved. Further, this study aimed to develop, analyze the feasibility, and examine the effectiveness of a local wisdom-based interactive flipbook with a problem-based learning model on the social science subject taught to grade five at SDN 1 Bandengan Jepara. It belonged to Research and Development (R&D) as developed by Brog and Gall. In addition to data collection technqiues, tests, observations, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation were employed. Once the data were collected, those were analyzed using several initial tests, namely product viability and response questionnaire, while the final data analyses covered normality test, t-test, and n-gained test. Here, 40 students of grade five at SDN 1 Bandengan Jepara were involved as the population of this study. Findings showed that the viability of this product in each aspect was presentation 100%, content was 95.31%, and language was 93.75%. In terms of effectiveness, it gained the value of sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05 in t test, meaning that there was a significant difference between the results of the pretest and posttest with the n-gain test of 0.454 in the medium category. To sum up, the local wisdom-based interactive flipbook is viable and effective to use in social science learning.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of producing instructional materials on mobile learning-based digital literacy skills as a preventive measure for social media conflicts. The researchers conducted this study using a research and development (R&D) design.  We conduct data collection through the techniques of observation, interview, and validation testing. Researchers use the qualitative analysis method to analyze data on instructional needs and validation.  Based on the analysis of the collected data, researchers are able to draw conclusions. Media experts and subject matter experts present prominent findings and corrections, from which conclusions are derived. that the instructional materials on digital literacy based on mobile learning are suitable for use as a preventive measure for social media conflicts.
