Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of using Power Point media on the level of concentration and motivation of students. The research method used in this study is a literature study by collecting data from various reliable sources. The analysis results show that the use of Power Point media can increase the concentration and motivation of students. This is because Power Point has an attractive and interactive appearance, which can attract the attention of students and make them more focused on learning. In addition, the use of Power Point can also facilitate students in understanding the material presented by teachers or lecturers. Therefore, the use of Power Point media is highly recommended in learning to improve the quality of student learning

Abstract

This research is a descriptive study aimed at determining the cognitive abilities of students in the process dimension and knowledge dimension based on the Revised Bloom's Taxonomy on the topic of Circulatory System for Grade XI Science students at SMAN 1 Tinambung. Understanding students' cognitive abilities is important for maximizing higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) as well as developing authentic learning plans and evaluation tools. The research instrument used was a cognitive ability test based on the Revised Bloom's Taxonomy. The research data were obtained by analyzing the Biology Lesson Implementation Plan for Grade XI Science and by administering a cognitive ability test to the students. The data analysis technique used was descriptive statistics. Based on the analysis of the Lesson Implementation Plan, the cognitive abilities taught by the teacher were as follows: C1 (Remembering) 68.75%, C2 (Understanding) 18.75%, and C4 (Analyzing) 12.50%, as well as factual knowledge 62.50% and conceptual knowledge 37.50%. The conclusion drawn from the results of the students' cognitive ability test based on the Revised Bloom's Taxonomy for multiple-choice questions is as follows: C1 (Remembering) 68.42%, C2 (Understanding) 46.05%, C3 (Applying) 21.05%, C4 (Analyzing) 60.53%, and C5 (Evaluating) 26.32%, as well as factual knowledge 57.89% and conceptual knowledge 51.32%. For essay questions, the percentage of student scores in each level is as follows: C1 40.24%, C2 53.25%, C3 58.88%, C4 51.08%, and C5 30.43%, as well as factual knowledge 52.73% and conceptual knowledge 48.19%.

Abstract

Dry leaves or grass in schools are generally thrown away or burned which has an impact on pollution and environmental pollution. Prevention of this pollution can be done by utilizing the dry leaves/grass into other products that are more useful. The Biology and Science Education Study Program Community Service implementation team in collaboration with the Polewali Mandar District Mobilizing Teacher Community provided training for teachers to be able to process dry leaves/grass in the surrounding environment into bokashi fertilizer. This community service aims to provide knowledge and skills to the community regarding the processing of dry leaves/grass into bokashi fertilizer. This activity was carried out by providing material and the practice of making bokashi fertilizer. Participants in the activity gave a positive response to the implementation of the activity. The results of the lesson indicate that the majority of the participants agreed that the lesson was in line with the topic and that the instructor was capable of providing materials and answering questions appropriately. In addition to that, participants agreed that the course increased the teacher's ability to transform dry leaves/grass in the schoolyard into bokashi fertilizer.

Abstract

Siswa kelas XII SMAN 1 Pamboang merupakan peserta didik tingkat akhir yang sebentar lagi memasuki akhir studi di sekolah menengah atas. Beberapa siswa belum memiliki perencanaan studi lanjut dan karier yang matang. Hal ini ditunjukkan dari pemahaman siswa mengenai pengaruh pendidikan dengan keberhasilan karier masih rendah; tidak adanya wadah penyaluran bakat yang sesuai dan memadai minimnya informasi mengenai strategi memasuki pendidikan lanjut (perguruan tinggi), kursus-kursus, maupun beasiswa dan sulitnya siswa menentukan pendidikan lanjutan yang sesuai dengan kemampuannya. Beranjak dari hal ini, dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan tema Pendampingan Student Career Planning bagi Siswa di SMAN 1 Pamboang. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini merupakan wujud kepedulian pada dunia pendidikan terkhusus pada aspek perencanaan studi dan karier siswa. Pengalaman dan kepakaran tim dosen diharapkan mampu dibagikan kepada siswa dan dimanfaatkan oleh siswa kelas XII untuk mendapatkan pengetahuan yang berguna bagi studi lanjut dan karier mereka. Sehingga dengan adanya kegiatan pendampingan ini, siswa kelas XII SMAN 1 Pamboang telah memiliki perencanaan atau gambaran mengenai perencanaan studi lanjut dan karier yang matang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian ex-post facto yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui deskripsi konsep diri, sikap, motivasi belajar, dan hasil belajar Biologi; hubungan konsep diri dengan hasil belajar Biologi; hubungan sikap dengan hasil belajar Biologi; hubungan motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar Biologi; dan hubungan konsep diri, sikap, dan motivasi belajar secara bersama-sama dengan hasil belajar Biologi siswa Kelas XI SMAN 1 Tinambung. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa Kelas XI SMAN 1 Tinambung Tahun Pelajaran 2021-2022. Sampel penelitian sejumlah 189 siswa dengan menggunakan teknik purposive random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah dengan angket dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis dengan teknik statistik deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan konsep diri dan sikap siswa berada pada kategori positif. Selanjutnya Motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar siswa berada pada kategori sedang. Koefisien korelasi konsep diri dengan hasil belajar Biologi sebesar 0,695, dapat dikatakan memiliki hubungan positif dan kuat secara signifikan. Koefisien korelasi sikap dengan hasil belajar Biologi sebesar 0,479, artinya memiliki hubungan positif dan sedang secara signifikan. Koefisien korelasi motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar Biologi sebesar 0,694, artinya memiliki hubungan positif dan kuat secara signifikan. Secara bersama-sama, konsep diri, sikap, dan motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar Biologi memiliki koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,788, dapat disimpulkan memiliki hubungan positif dan kuat secara signifikan.
