Abstract

Excessive use of gadgets in children has become an increasingly worrying issue in the digital era, especially because of its impact on physical, mental, and social health. Physically, excessive screen exposure can cause sleep disorders, progressive myopia, digital eye strain, and increase the risk of obesity due to a sedentary lifestyle. In addition, poor posture during gadget use contributes to musculoskeletal disorders such as neck and back pain. Mentally and socially, gadget dependence is associated with increased anxiety, depression, and attention disorders due to reduced direct social interaction and exposure to inappropriate digital content. The phenomenon of cyberbullying and social comparison in digital media can also lower children's self-esteem. To overcome these negative impacts, parental supervision and stricter regulation of gadget use are needed. Strategies such as limiting screen time, creating gadget-free areas, and encouraging alternative activities are important steps in balancing the use of technology. On the other hand, if used wisely, gadgets can be an effective learning tool. Therefore, a balanced and collaborative approach between families, schools, and governments is needed so that children can take advantage of technology without sacrificing their health and well-being

Abstract

Aging is the process of becoming old and is the final stage of human development that begins at the age of 60. Aging is not a disease, but a gradual process that results in cumulative changes leading to a decline in the body's ability to withstand stimuli from within and outside the body, ending in death. One problem in Neglasari District, Tangerang City is the lack of knowledge among the elderly about early health screening, resulting in a high prevalence of non-communicable diseases such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus, uric acid, and cholesterol. Based on this problem, the Faculty of Health Sciences, through a community service team, carried out early detection of non-communicable diseases in the elderly and provided education using leaflets. The government has also launched services for the elderly in order to improve their health status. The sample size was 23 elderly people. Regular health check-ups are useful for determining an individual's health status and for early detection of potentially harmful diseases or symptoms. Keywords: Elderly, Educational, Screening

Abstract

This study explores the application of prenatal yoga as a complementary care approach to enhance reproductive health and overall well-being among pregnant women. Pregnancy involves complex physiological and psychological changes that often lead to discomfort, stress, anxiety, and reduced physical mobility. While conventional medical care remains essential for monitoring maternal and fetal health, it often does not fully address the emotional, psychological, and musculoskeletal challenges experienced during pregnancy. This study employs a qualitative descriptive literature review, synthesizing findings from international and national journals, WHO, ACOG, UNICEF, and other clinical guidelines published between 2018 and 2025. The results reveal that prenatal yoga contributes to improved physical comfort, reduced back and pelvic pain, regulated breathing, and enhanced autonomic balance through parasympathetic activation. Psychologically, prenatal yoga reduces stress and anxiety, improves sleep quality, and strengthens emotional bonding between mother and fetus. Furthermore, the integration of prenatal yoga with conventional antenatal care enhances maternal preparedness for childbirth and supports postpartum recovery. However, challenges remain, particularly regarding limited availability of certified prenatal yoga instructors and insufficient awareness among healthcare providers in Indonesia. Overall, prenatal yoga proves to be a safe, effective, and holistic complementary intervention that supports maternal health and aligns with modern reproductive care standards. Its integration into primary healthcare services may significantly improve maternal well-being and promote healthier pregnancy outcomes.
