Abstract

Eco enzyme is an organic solution resulting from the fermentation of organic waste, sugar and water. Eco enzyme liquid is dark in color and has a sour aroma. Materials to make eco enzyme can come from organic waste such as fruit peels, vegetables, and others, and the fermentation process takes about three months. This study aims to determine the right dose of eco enzyme for the growth of Lampai Sirandah rice variety in Sijunjung Regency. The study used a group randomized design with 5 treatment levels and 5 replications, a total of 25 experimental units. The treatments given were without eco enzyme, 20 ml/l water, 40 ml/l water, 60 ml/l water, and 80 ml/l water. Based on the results of the study, the application of eco enzyme showed a significant effect on the number of tillers, the number of leaves, and the length of the longest leaves. The best dose of eco enzyme to increase the vegetative growth of Lampai Sirandah rice plants in Sijunjung Regency is 60 ml/l water (P3). Keywords: lampai sirandah rice, eco enzyme

Abstract

Careless disposal of livestock manure can lead to environmental pollution, thereby impacting the deterioration of the quality of the environment, the quality of life of the rancher and his livestock and triggering social conflicts. So this needs to be addressed by making livestock waste as compost fertilizer. This study aims to determine whether organadec bioactivators are effective against composting manure from goat manure and rice straw. The study was conducted during a 21-day observation period of goat manure and rice straw so that it became compost fertilizer. This study used an experimental method with 4 treatments and 4 repeat doses of organadec bioactivator against measurements of fertilizer levels consisting of Water Content, Nitrogen (N), Phosphorus (P), and Potassium (K). The results of the study showed that administration of orgadec gave results that did not differ markedly with respect to Water Content and Nitrogen content. But it differs markedly in the content of Phosphorus and Potassium. It can be concluded that organadec bioactivators can increase the nutrient content, namely the content of Moisture, Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium contained in composted organic fertilizers. Keywords: compost, orgadec, manure, goat, straw

Abstract

This research aims to obtain the correct dose of Tithonia diversifolia compost and cow manure for the growth and yield of leeks (Allium fistulosum L). This research was carried out in the Green House of the Agroindustry Department, Sijunjung campus, Padang State University, Sijunjung Regency at an altitude of + 450 meters above sea level. The design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 6 treatments and 3 replications so there were 18 experimental samples. The treatments in this experiment were P0: control, P1: 55 grams of compost, P2: 65 g of compost, P3: 75 g of compost, P4: 85 g of compost, P5: 95 g of compost. The research data were analyzed using 5% anova and continued with the DMRT test. The parameters observed were plant height, number of tillers, number of tillers, number of leaves per cluster, leaf length, leaf width, cluster diameter, total plant weight. The results of the research showed that the application of Titonia diversifolia compost and cow manure had an effect on the growth of leek plants with the highest average plant height being 45 cm, namely in the 85 g treatment, the highest number of tillers was 4.33, namely in the 85 g treatment.  Keywords: Tithonia diversifolia, cow manure, spring onions INTISARIPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan dosis kompos Tithonia diversifolia dan pupuk kandang sapi yang tepat untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil bawang daun (Allium fistulosum L). Penelitian ini dilaksanakn di Green House Departemen Agroindustri kampus Sijunjung, Universitas Negeri Padang, Kabupaten Sijunjung dengan ketinggian + 450 mdpl. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 6 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan sehingga ada 18 sampel percobaan. Perlakuan dalam percoban ini adalah P0: kontrol, P1: 55 gram kompos, P2: 65 g kompos, P3: 75 g kompos, P4: 85 g kompos, P5: 95 g kompos. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan anova 5% dan dilanjutkan uji DMRT. Parameter yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan, jumlah daun per-anakan, jumlah daun per- rumpun, panjang daun, lebar daun, diameter rumpun, bobot total tanaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian kompos Titonia diversifolia dan pupuk kandang sapi berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman bawang daun dengan rata-rata tinggi tanaman yang tertinggi adalah 45 cm, yaitu pada perlakuan 85 g, jumlah anakan terbanyak 4,33, yaitu pada perlakuan 85 g. Kata kunci: bawang daun, pupuk kandang sapi, Tithonia diversifolia

Abstract

Rubber plants (Hevea brasiliensis) will experience a decrease in production as plants age and the nutrient content in the soil decreases. This study aims to find out the chemical properties of soil on plantations of rubber crops that are converted into palm and coconut crops. The research was conducted from Februari 2023 to Agustus 2024 at the palm coconut plantation of PTPN III Aek Nabara North Garden in Labuhanbatu district and analyzed in the Land Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Northern Sumatra. The methods used are observation methods, field sampling, and analysis in the laboratory to obtain quantitative data. Observation parameters include soil pH, C-organic, Total Nitrogen, Available P, Cation Interchange Capacity, and Base Fulness. The results of the survey showed that the level of soil fertility at the site of the research was included in the low category. The main limiting factor that causes the low fertility of the soil is the low content of organic material in the soil. In order to improve the fertility status of the ground at the research site for further planting, it is necessary to make efforts such as irrigation and fertilization, as well as the addition of organic materials, to make the availability of nutrients for plants more affordable. Keywords: replanting area, rubber plants, conversion, soil fertility, quantitative data

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh reinokulasi jamur dan bakteri pada Tithonia sebagai pagar lorong dalam memperbaiki sifat fisika tanah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 3 kelompok. Hasil penelitian di uji secara statistik dengan uji F, bila berbeda nyata dilanjutkan dengan uji Beda Nyata Jujur (BNJ) pada taraf 5 %. Adapun perlakuan di lapangan yaitu: A = Kontrol (titonia tanpa perlakuan mikroba), B = Mikoriza (campuran) + Azospirillum + Azotobakter, C = Tanpa pagar lorong titonia, D = Mikoriza (campuran) + JPF, E = Mikoriza (campuran) + BPF, F = Mikoriza (campuran) + BPF + JPF. Percobaan menggunakan 6 perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa titonia sebagai pagar lorong yang direinokulasi dengan gabungan mikoriza + Jamur Pelarut Fosfat mempunyai kemampuan terbesar dalam mengurangi aliran permukaan sekitar 165.2 m3/ha (73.86 %) dan tanah tererosi sebanyak 0.81 ton/ha (82.65 %). Sedangkan Berat volume tanah tertinggi diperlihatan oleh perlakuan C (tanpa pagar lorong titonia) sebesar 0.83 g/cm3 dan yang terendah pada perlakuan D (mikoriza + JPF) sebesar 0.72 g/cm3.

Abstract

Tujuan dari kegiatan PkM ini yaitu mentransfer ilmu penegtahuan kepada masyarakat , yang dapat berguna bagi kehidupan masyarakat, memberi motivasi kepada masyarakat, Sehingga Kegiatan pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat memperbaiki Sumber Daya Manuasia, menambah pendapatan keluargan dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Kegiatan PkM ini dilaksanakan di pemukiman Perumahan Kelurahan Kotobaru Nan XX padang SUMBAR, dimana kondisi di lingkungan perumahan memiliki keterbatasan lahan untuk melakukan proses budidaya tanaman, khususnya bagi pecinta tanaman hias maupun tanaman sayuran yang bisa menjadi kegiatan yang bisa menghasilkan luaran berupa tanaman maupun nilai estetika. Adapun strategi yang dipergunakan untuk mendukung realisasi program pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah dengan memberikan penyuluhan dan pelatihan. Hasil capaian PkM yaitu potensi untuk pengembangan budidaya tanaman sistim tabulampot sangat terbuka, mengingat lahan dan keadaan lingkungan memadai, dalam hal ini ternyata masyarakat banyak memiliki lahan kosong di pekarangan rumah untuk dapat dimanfaatkan secara maksimalserta antusiasisme warga sangat tinggi untuk melakukan teknik budidaya tanaman secara tabulampot.
