Abstract

Pencak silat merupakan warisan budaya Indonesia berupa cabang olahraga beladiri masyarakat Indonesia. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran kadar GDS pada atlet pencak silat di Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian deskriptif. Populasi yaitu atlet pencak silat Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara di gedung IPSI sebanyak 30 orang. Analisa data yang digunakan analisa univariat. Pemeriksaan kadar GDS atlet pencak silat pada minggu pertama dan kedua menunjukan hasil 100% dalam nilai normal. Atlet laki-laki berjumlah 53,3%, perempuan berjumlah 46,7%. Berdasarkan usia, kelompok remaja akhir 46,62%, berdasarkan tingkatan, kelompok atlet kader 73,36%, berdasarkan riwayat penyakit DM dari keluarga 13,3% dan tanpa riwayat penyakit DM dari keluarga 86,7%. Dapat disimpulkan kadar glukosa darah sewaktu atlet pencak silat 100% dalam nilai normal.

Abstract

Penyakit kecacingan sering dianggap sebagai salah satu penyakit yang sering diabaikan oleh sebagian besar kalangan masyarakat. Salah satu penyebab dari penyakit kecacingan ialah  dari kebiasaan mencuci tangan yang jarang dilakukan oleh masyarakat. Kebiasaan mencuci tangan merupakan suatu perilaku hidup sehat yang dipengaruhi oleh tingkat pengetahuan seseorang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kebiasaan siswa dalam  mencuci tangan dan mengetahui siswa kecacingan di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 001 Baqa Samarinda Seberang. Waktu penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada minggu ke IV Desember 2022 – minggu ke II Juni 2023. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan bersifat deskriptif dengan pendekatan cross sectional dan menggunakan data primer, dengan teknik Total Sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pemeriksaan direct slide. Jumlah sampel yang diguanakan sebanyak 62 siswa dan penelitian ini menggunakan analisa data univariat. Dilakukan observasi mencuci tangan pada siswa kelas III didapatkan sebanyak 60 siswa (97%) melakukan cuci tangan dan 2 siswa (3%) tidak melakukan cuci tangan. Hasil pemeriksaan feses yang telah dilakukan didapatkan 1 sampel (1,6%) positif  kecacingan dengan jenis telur Ascaris lumbricoides (cacing gelang). Pada peneitian yang telah dilakukan maka dapat disimpulkan kebiasaan mencuci tangan siswa dilakukan dengan baik, akan tetapi masih ditemukan telur cacing jenis Ascaris lumbricoides di dalam feses siswa Sekolah Dasar Negeri 001 Baqa Samarinda Seberang.

Abstract

Sepsis merupakan kondisi klinis yang akut dan berbahaya yang disebabkan oleh serangan mikroorganisme (bakteri). Dalam penanganan sepsis membutuhkan biomarker, salah satunya adalah C-Reactive Protein (CRP) yang dapat meningkat ketika terjadinya infeksi. Ekstrak kayu cendana mengandung senyawa antibakteri dan antiinflamasi yang dapat mendenaturasikan protein pada bakteri. Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efek atau pengaruh ekstrak kayu cendana (Santalum album L.) terhadap kadar CRP tikus putih model sepsis Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan eksperimen murni. Sampel penelitian ini menggunakan tikus putih sebanyak 27 ekor yang dibagi kedalam 3 kelompok, yaitu kelompok kontrol, model sepsis MRSA, dan model sepsis MRSA yang diberi ekstrak kayu cendana. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Laboratorium Imunologi, Teknologi Laboratorium Medis, Poltekkes Kemenkes Kaltim. Analisis data dilakukan secara univariat dan bivariat untuk mengukur efek atau pengaruh pemberian ekstrak kayu cendana terhadap kadar CRP tikus putih model sepsis MRSA. Hasil penelitian didapatkan dan dianalisis dengan uji statistik Mann-Whitney menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang bermakna (penurunan) pada kadar CRP tikus putih model sepsis yang diberi ekstrak kayu cendana dengan nilai p value 0,040. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh pemberian ekstrak kayu cendana terhadap kadar CRP pada tikus putih model sepsis MRSA. Kata Kunci: Sepsis, Kayu Cendana, C-Reactive Protein (CRP)

Abstract

Ground spice paste is a widely consumed food product sold in traditional markets with varying environmental conditions. Differences between wet and dry stalls may affect environmental sanitation and the microbiological safety of the product, including contamination by Staphylococcus aureus. This study aimed to determine the Total Plate Count (TPC) and identify S. aureus in cooked ground spice pastes sold in traditional markets in Samarinda City. A descriptive observational study was conducted using 12 samples consisting of rendang, soup, and rawon spice pastes collected from wet and dry stalls. TPC was determined using the pour plate method on Plate Count Agar (PCA), while S. aureus was identified using Mannitol Salt Agar (MSA) followed by biochemical tests. Environmental sanitation conditions were assessed through direct observation, and the data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that all samples met acceptable organoleptic criteria; however, several samples exceeded the maximum TPC limit established by SNI 7388:2009 and were contaminated with S. aureus. Samples exceeding the maximum TPC limit were more frequent in wet stalls (83.3%) than in dry stalls (66.7%), with the highest count found in rendang spice paste. Meanwhile, S. aureus was detected more frequently in wet stalls (50.0%) than in dry stalls (33.3%). The higher descriptive proportions of microbiological contamination in wet stalls coincided with poorer sanitation conditions, including standing water, high humidity, and open storage. These findings indicate that cooked ground spice pastes sold in traditional markets are susceptible to microbiological contamination, particularly in stalls with inadequate sanitation.

Abstract

Education serves as a foundational pillar in developing learners’ potentials to become individuals who are faithful, ethical, competent, creative, and responsible, as mandated by Indonesia’s Law No. 20 of 2003. In response to evolving educational needs, the curriculum has continuously undergone reforms, culminating in the introduction of the Merdeka Curriculum. This curriculum emphasizes student-centered learning, flexibility, and the strengthening of the Profil Pelajar Pancasila. This study aims to analyze how the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum across various educational levels influences learning innovation. Using a literature review approach, the study synthesized findings from national and international publications focusing on curriculum reform, project-based learning, teacher competency development, and the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy in higher education. The review indicates that the Merdeka Curriculum has encouraged notable improvements in educators’ pedagogical competencie

Abstract

Background: Hemoglobin level measurement using the cyanmethemoglobin method is affected by lipemic samples. Lipemic serum, caused by lipoprotein particles such as chylomicrons, VLDL, and triglycerides, creates chromophoric interference in photometric analysis, affecting wavelength readings and causing light scattering due to lipid particles. Methods: An observational analytic study using a total sampling technique was conducted at the East Kalimantan Provincial Health Laboratory during August–September 2024. A total of 30 lipemic specimens were included, collected from patients undergoing routine blood examination with cholesterol levels >200 mg/dL. Data were obtained from secondary medical records. Results: Of 30 lipemic samples, 28 samples (93%) showed hemoglobin levels within the normal range and 2 samples (7%) were below normal. The minimum hemoglobin value was 12.0 g/dL, maximum was 15.7 g/dL, and the mean was 13.7 g/dL. Regarding cholesterol levels, 22 samples (73%) had cholesterol of 201–250 mg/dL and 8 samples (27%) had cholesterol of 251–300 mg/dL. Conclusion: Hemoglobin measurement in lipemic serum using the cyanmethemoglobin method can serve as an accurate reference. The average results showed no values outside the normal range. The two samples below normal may be attributable to unknown confounding variables such as dietary habits, smoking behavior, and age.
