Abstract

Permasalahan utama dalam pengembangan kacang bambara di Indonesia adalah rendahnya produktivitas di tingkat petani yang disebabkan oleh penanaman galur lokal dengan tingkat keragaman yang tinggi. Salah satu solusi yang bisa dilakukan adalah dengan merakit varietas unggul dengan memanfaatkan galur-galur lokal yang ada melalui seleksi, misalnya metode seleksi single seed descent (SSD). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keragaman genetik di antara galur-galur harapan kacang bambara hasil seleksi single seed descent berdasarkan data kuantitatif karakter morfologi. Penelitian menggunakan 11 galur harapan hasil seleksi SSD galur-galur lokal kacang bambara dari daerah sentra penanaman di Jawa Timur dan Jawa Barat dan satu galur pembanding koleksi Laboratorium Pemuliaan Tanaman Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Brawijaya Malang. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 ulangan. Hampir semua parameter pertumbuhan yang diamati menunjukkan adanya keragaman diantara dua belas galur harapan yang diuji,  tetapi tidak menunjukkan adanya keragaman pada parameter hasil.  Karakter  yang mempunyai nilai heritabilitas dalam arti luas kategori tinggi (˃50%-100%) adalah karakterjumlah daun, lebar daun terminal, panjang daun terminal, panjang petiole, panjang internode, bobot brangkasan basah, jumlah bunga, jumlah ruas, jumlah polong, bobot polong per polong, bobot brangkasan kering, panjang polong dan jumlah biji.

Abstract

Analisis keragaman pada populasi tanaman hasil persilangan merupakan langkah awal yang dapat dilakukan untuk mencari suatu model persilangan yang cocok dalam kegiatan perbaikan sifat tanaman. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah persilangan antara jagung Tambin (sebagai ♂) X Srikandi Kuning (sebagai ♀) lebih baik, dan atau sama dengan jagung Tambin (sebagai ♀) X Srikandi Kuning (sebagai ♂). Jika diperoleh hasil pada populasi tanaman hasil persilangan memrikan nilai keragaman tinggi atau variasi tinggi, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa persilangan yang telah dilakukan dapat direkomendasi untuk program kegiatan pemuliaan tanaman jagung Tambin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai variasi gentik dari tanaman jagung hasil persilangan antara kultivar Tambin dengan varietas introduksi Srikandi Kuning. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kebun Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Trunojoyo Bangkalan Madura, dilaksanakan mulai bulan Oktober 2009 sampai bulan Mei 2010. F1 hasil persilangan antara jagung Srikandi Kuning ♀ x Tambin ♂ mempunyai nilai koefisien keragaman besar terutama pada parameter tinggi tanaman, tinggi kedudukan tongkol, panjang tongkol, diameter tongkol, diameter jenggel, jumlah baris biji, bobot 1000 biji,dan produksi/hektar, sedangkan  F1 hasil persilangan resiproknya atau persilangan antara jagung Srikandi Kuning ♂ x Tambin ♀ parameter yang mempunyai koefisien  keragaman tinggi adalah hanya terjadi pada tinggi tanaman, tinggi kedudukan tongkol dan panjang tongkol.

Abstract

White oyster mushroom is kind of consumed mushroom that has delicious taste and efficacious drug. Mushroom need nutrition addition to increase growth and development so that better production, like nutrition from rice washing water. The contain are carbon element, nitrogen, mineral and vitamin B. This experiment aim to determine addition of rice washing water effect, optimal volume and time interval on growth and yield of white oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus). This experiment is carried out at mushroom’s house Maduraya Agro Kamal. The research design used was factorial completely randomized design with two factors. First factor is addition rice washing water volume with 4 level, that is without addition rice washing water (A0), addition rice washing water as much as 20 ml/1000 g substrat (A1), 40 ml/1000 g substrat (A2) and 60 ml/1000 g substrat (A3). Second factor is addition time interval that consists of 2 level, that is 2 days (B1) and 4 days (B2). Experiment result shows that interaction between volume treatment and addition time interval give effect on fruit body total. Addition rice washing water volume treatment give real effect on maximal pileus fruit width. While addition time interval treatment does not give significant difference on all parameters but it can increase pileus fruit width, total weight and biological efficiency. Interaction of volume treatment and addition time interval is the best combination is volume treatment 40 ml/1000 g substrat with time interval 2 days (A2B1), this matter is showed in lot fruit body total as big as 8,871 fruit. Addition rice washing water volume 40 ml/1000 g substrat is the best volume that indicated from first bud appear, first harvest time, total weight and biological efficiency.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 memiliki banyak dampak terhadap kehidupan bermasyarakat. Salah satu perubahan yang dirasakan adalah dalam bidang pendidikan di mana pembelajaran di sekolah diputuskan untuk dilaksanakan secara online. Pada masa pandemi Covid-19, pendidikan karakter tidak boleh diabaikan begitu saja, terutama di jenjang sekolah dasar. Pada jenjang ini, pendidikan karakter sangat dibutuhkan untuk perkembangan para siswa. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter dalam pembelajaran selama masa pandemi Covid-19 di sekolah dasar. Metode yang digunakan dalam studi ini adalah kajian pustaka. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan karakter dibutuhkan oleh siswa sekolah dasar meskipun pembelajaran harus dilaksanakan di rumah. Pendidikan karakter melalui pembelajaran jarak jauh tidak boleh diabaikan dan harus menyesuaikan dengan kondisi siswa serta situasi Covid-19. Kesimpulan dari studi ini adalah guru harus mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai karakter dalam setiap muatan pembelajaran, seperti nilai religius, tanggungjawab, toleransi, dan kerja keras.

Abstract

Green Okra Abelmoschus esculentus (L.) Moench is a plant  whose fruit is used as a vegetable. The content of phenolic compounds and flavonoids in okra is a natural antioxidant that is safe for the body. One way to increase okra production is to expand land by adjusting the spacing pattern. The right spacing pattern can reduce the level of competition between plants for sunlight, water, and nutrients and will reduce pests and plant disease. This study aims to obtain the right spacing pattern for maximum growth and yield of green okra plants. The research was conducted on the land owned by PT. Mitratani Dua Tujuh located in the village of wells, Ajung District, Jember Regency, using a randomizide block design with 3 replications treatment. The treathment of the spacing pattern consisted of 4 levels namely, J0 (20 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm), J1 (20 cm x 80 cm x 20 cm), J2 (15 cm x 15 cm x 80 cm x 15 cm x 15 cm) dan J3 (15 cm x 15 cm).  Observational data were analyzed using analysis of variance and further test of the sallest significant difference with a level of 5%. The results showed that the spacing pattern treatment had a significant effect on the parameters of plant height, number of stem segments,number of leaves, fruit diameter, fruit lengts,fruit weight per plant, fruit weight size S per plant, fruit production per hectare. Treatment of spacing pattern J1 (20 x 80 x 20) tended to produce fruit weight per plant and fruit production per hectare was higher than the other was treatments.

Abstract

Despite being one of the most important staple food consumed by more than half of the world population, the development of red rice still lacks behind the regular white rice. In Madura, most farmers still use their local landraces with red pericarp. Since most of the growing season is dependent on rainfall, those landraces are expected to provide some useful genes related to drought tolerance. This research aimed to select drought-tolerant accessions candidates of red rice derived from pure lines selection at early stages using PEG 6000. A randomized complete block design was used with two factors and three replications, the first factor was red rice genotype and the second factor was two levels of PEG 6000 concentration (0% and 25%). The results showed that there were different responses in all genotypes used in terms of their responses to PEG 6000 screening. Seedling length, seminal root length, shoot length, seminal root dry weight, and shoot dry weight were reduced by the application of PEG 6000 compared to non-PEG 6000 media. Two genotypes had a better response to PEG 6000 treatment compared to check tolerant (Salumpikit), and these are expected to become a valuable resources for further breeding activities.

Abstract

Evaluation of genetic purity Bambara groundnut hope line is very important to maintain genetic purity before being released into new varieties. The purpose of this research to examine 12 lines of local Bambara groundnuts. The experiment consisted of 12 unit, each containing 30 plants. The data results are analysed of cluster test for variables qualitative, quantitative variables by counting the mean, variance, standard deviation and coefficient of diversity. The results showed that the 7 populations lines of hope were uniform because they had a similarity matrix value above 0.80 and the remaining 5 populations of lines of hope were not uniform because they had a similarity matrix value below 0.80. The results of data analysis on quantitative characters showed that age of germination, flowering, and harvest. Terminal leaf length and width, number of internodes, and number of branches had low diversity. Character number of leaves and, diameter of thecrown at the age of 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 10 WAP, petiole length, internode length, weight of wetstover, weight of dry stover, lengt hand width of seeds had moderatediversity. Characters of wetpod weight, pod weightdryness, skin thickness ,number of seeds and seed weight varied from high to very high.
