Abstract

Supply and demand response model of agricultural products to the lagged variables as explanatory variables often cause serious multi-colinearity among those variables. This condition could reduce the efficiency of parameter estimates and then affected the effectiveness of the whole model. Own and cross price elasticity of each parameter estimate computed from this response model will be definitely bias, so that any projection made from a bias model will not accurate. If policy implication is drowns from this response model then one will find this may not be useful. Therefore, any researcher that interested in this subject should find other technique in order to find better parameter estimates and more accurate projections. One of the most suitable techniques is the application of partial adjustment Nerlove model. This adjustment model is very popular in the study of supply response. Nevertheless, this approach could reduce any bias in the computation of elasticity of parameter estimate of each explanatory variable that will be used in projection. In respect to this approach, adjustment model also exercised in the estimation of parameter of demand response model

This study aims to reveal the fatalistic work culture process as a cause of poverty for fishermen. As part of an urgent cultural aspect, Fatalism has been an inseparable part of their social life. Fatalism is an attitude that has been a stronghold for a long time and becomes a habit. In this case, the most important thing to express is the belief or trust of fishermen related to the coastal environment. This research took place on the southern coast of the Sulawesi Island, in Pandang-Pandang village, Arungkeke District, Jeneponto Regency, South Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. The informants were 5 poor fishermen from the Sawi (fishing boat crew) who were interviewed in-depth and conducted observation of the surrounding environment. To strengthen research data, Literature studies, interview and observation results were also conducted. Data analysis used three path techniques including data reduction, categorization, and conclusion drawing. This research shows that; (1) The fatalistic attitude of the fishing community of Pandang-Pandang village manifested in the belief that life has been determined by God while humans only live and accept it, (2) Weak instrumental values ??of the fishing community in the form of not overly pursuing more values ??at work. Both of these are fatalistic attitudes. The conclusion of this research is the emergence of a fatalistic attitude in the fishing community is the result of their appreciation of God, Nature, Humans, and Life. This appreciation has been going on for a long time so that it is manifested in the form of an attitude of life than becoming an actor.

Abstract

The new normal era is a time for the government and society to resolve economic issues at all societal levels. One of them is to revitalize the SMB sector, a pillar of the national economy that has been impacted by this pandemic. One of the initiatives is to capitalize on the digital economy. Consequently, the purpose of this study is to determine the impact of the Digital Economy on the Resilience and Growth of Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Businesses in the New Normal Era. This study employs a qualitative, descriptive methodology. The results demonstrate that the digital economy plays a crucial role in the development of MSMEs in the new normal since it is very resilient during a recession. The role of the digital economy for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises can be evident when they conduct e-commerce with cashless payments or use digital wallets to avoid government-prohibited face-to-face interactions. In addition, the role of the digital economy is extremely beneficial for MSME actors in terms of expanding the market, and saving money, energy, and time, which will ultimately be to their advantage.
