Abstract

The Puncak Geurutee area is one of the tourist destinations in Aceh Jaya Regency, as regulated by Regional Regulation No. 9 of 2014 concerning the Spatial Planning and Area of Aceh Jaya Regency for the period of 2014-2034. This research aims to describe the potential environmental impacts in the Puncak Geurutee area. The research method used is qualitative descriptive, utilizing primary and secondary data sources. Data collection is conducted through interviews. The research findings indicate that this tourist location is situated in a protected forest area and along the road. Therefore, the selling activities conducted by vendors along Geurutee Road are considered violations of regulations. Furthermore, this tourist site lacks waste management services, resulting in vendors disposing of trash indiscriminately, including into the ravine, which can eventually reach the sea. The absence of government intervention in regulating these illegal vendors contributes to ongoing environmental damage and disruption to the road's functionality. Additionally, the culinary huts located at the tourist site are also illegal structures.AbstrakKawasan Puncak Geurutee merupakan salah satu destinasi wisata di Kabupaten Aceh Jaya. Abstract

This paper will discuss how the implementation of whipping execution continues in Aceh even during the COVID-19 pandemic. This shows how the Aceh government continues to implement Islamic law through the law of caning rather than maintaining health and safety by avoiding crowds, considering that this law has requirements to be carried out in public and displayed. In other words, the caning is still carried out in open spaces even though it is stated that they have complied with health protocols. The hypothesis of this paper is that the Government has a double standard against the crowd prohibition policy. The government issued a ban on the community to congregate, but in the implementation of this whip execution, the government actually attracted the people to assemble in public places through the implementation of the caning law in public spaces. The method used is qualitative with literature studies and interviews. This research will be conducted in Banda Aceh, Aceh.

Abstract

In a democratic system, the success of general elections is highly dependent on the integrity and neutrality of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN), which is an integral part of organizing fair and free elections. Therefore, it is important to discuss the protection strategy of the ASN in the context of democratic elections. The focus is on addressing two serious threats, namely money politics and intimidation, which often disrupt the integrity of elections. In this case, the researcher seeks to identify efforts that should be taken to protect ASN so that they can carry out their electoral duties reasonably and free from external pressure, which includes various strategies that can be used, including strengthening election-related regulations, increasing ASN awareness about the risks of money politics and intimidation, and the role of election monitoring institutions in supporting election integrity. By implementing this strategy, it is hoped that general elections can become more democratic and have integrity. ASN is also expected to be protected from political money and intimidation threats during the election process.
