Abstract

This study investigates the implementation of school management which accommodates the potential intelligence of each student in order to foster the quality of education in Indonesia.The concept of Multiple Intelligencesis in accordance withRI Act. No. 20 of 2003 on National Education System listed in Chapter I of Article 1, paragraph 1, which states that Education is a conscious and deliberate effort to create an atmosphere of learning and learning process so that learners are actively developing their potential to have the spiritual power on religion, self-control, personality, intelligence, noble character, and acquiring necessary skillsfor the societyand nation.Multiple Intelligences-based school management takes into account the potential of students’ potentials in accordance with various intelligences. Management will be successful if the management significantly concerns withthe stage of inputs, processes, outputs, and outcomes. This is necessary for an effective school management model based on the concept of Multiple Intelligences starting from the input, process, output and outcome.

Abstract

In order to establish a successful school, prospective school principals' perceptions are crucial. Perception has an effect on school quality because it impacts reaction and decision-making. The aim of this study was to understand prospective school principals' perceptions of the Ministry of Education and Culture Regulation Number 6 of 2018 concerning the Appointment of Teachers as School Principals, which was conducted using a quantitative approach through a survey of 77 prospective school principals from Central and East Java Provinces. The findings revealed that: the age of the prospective school principal does not have a significant effect on policy perceptions;  the length of work as a prospective school principal teacher has no significant effect on policy perceptions; there is a significant difference between the principal candidates for primary school, junior high school and senior high school/vocational high school in perceiving policies; there is no significant difference between male and female principal candidates in their perception of the policy; there is no significant difference between prospective school principals based on tank (from III b to IV b) in perceiving policies; there is a significant difference between prospective school principals with bachelor's and master's degrees in perceiving policies; there is no significant difference between prospective school principals who have not and have read Ministry of Education and Culture Regulation No. 6 of 2018 in perceiving the policy; and that there is no significant difference between prospective school principals who have not and have specifically reviewed Ministry of Education and Culture Regulation No. 6 of 2018 in perceiving the policy.

Abstract

In an effort to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic, the government has implemented various policies including social restrictions which resulted in the limitation of various community activities. This research purposes to determine the impact of social distancing application on the mental health of vulnerable groups including children, pregnant women, and the elderly. This research used a systematic review using databases from PubMed and Science Direct. The search was carried out using the keywords Covid-19, social distancing, mental health and vulnerable groups. From the search results, it was found that 1087 articles were then filtered using the PRISMA method until 6 articles were found in accordance with the discussion. The results showed that social distancing has a significant impact on the mental health of vulnerable groups including children, pregnant women, and the elderly. Therefore, the efforts to adjust, to modify of health services and to increase of social support for vulnerable groups are needed to support social distancing in controlling Covid-19.

Abstract

The increase in the elderly population needs attention. This is because the morbidity rate in the elderly is higher compared to other age groups. Health service coverage for the elderly is still low. The use of preventive and curative health services at the Pejagoan Health Center Elderly Polyclinic in 2022 is still not optimal and is experiencing a decline. This study aims to identify the factors that influence the utilization of health services in the elderly in the working area of the Pejagoan Health Center. This research is a quantitative analytic study with a cross-sectional research design. The research sample is 104 people. Sampling was carried out using proportional random sampling. The instrument used is a questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using univariate analysis, bivariate analysis through chi square test, and multivariate analysis through multiple logistic regression tests.The results showed that 45.2% of the elderly had used health services at the Elderly Poly. Factors related to the utilization of health services in the Elderly Poly are education, employment, income, health insurance, accessibility, family support, and perceptions of illness. The factor that has the most influence on the utilization of health services at the Pejagoan Health Center Elderly Poly is the ownership of health insurance.Ownership of health insurance is the factor that most influences the utilization of services at the Pejagoan Health Center Elderly Poly.
