Abstract

Banyak masalah yang sering terjadi akibat penuaan. Seiring dengan bertambahnya usia, maka akan terjadi penurunan fungsi tubuh padalansia, baik fisik maupun psikologis. Perubahan tersebut akan terlihat dalam jaringan dan organ tubuh seperti penurunan fungsi pencernaan, penurunan sensitifitas indra perasa, dan pengeroposan tulang (osteoporosis). Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan lansia dalam membuat produk tempe, abon dan nugget berbahan dasar daun singkong, dalam rangka meningkatkan asupan serat dan kalsium pada usia lanjut di posyandu lansia Desa Gununglurah, Kecamatan Cilongok, Kabupaten Banyumas. Metode kegiatan yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain one group pre and post test terhadap 50 responden di posyandu lansia di Desa Gunungluarh yang sebelumnya diberi pelatihan alih teknologi pembuatan tempe, abon dan nugget berbahan dasar daun singkong. Evaluasi sebelum dan setelah kegiatan dilakukan dengan kuesioner yang berisi 35 pertanyaan.Hasil yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan uji t berpasangan. Hasil pelaksanaan menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan rerata skor pengetahuan lansia dalam meningkatkan asupan serat dan kalsium setelah kegiatan dari 54 menjadi 91,9 (p=0,000). Lansia dapat mendemonstrasikan kembali pembuatan tempe, abon, dan nugget berbahan dasar daun singkong. Tingkat pengetahuan dan ketrampilan lansia meningkat signifikan setelah pelatihan.Berdasarkan hal tersebut, perlu dilakukan pendidikan kesehatan secara periodik untuk meningkatkan derajat kesehatan lansia.Kata kunci: asupan serat dan kalsium, lansia, tempe, abon, nugget, daun singkong

Abstract

Pengeroposan tulang sering terjadi seiring dengan peningkatan usia. Usia lanjut merupakan usia yang rentan untuk terjadi osteoporosis. Desa Dawuhan merupakan salah satu desa dengan keluhan nyeri akibat pengeroposan tulang (osteoporosis) yang tinggi. Salah satu penyebab terjadinya osteoporosis adalah defisiensi vitamin D dan kalsium. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan lanjut usia dalam memilih sumber makanan tinggi kalsium dan vitamin D sebagai upaya pencegahan osteoporosis. Metode pelaksanaan yang digunakan adalah peningkatan pengetahuan tentang penyakit osteoporosis dan upaya pencegahannya, alih teknologi pemilihan dan penyusunan menu makanan serta pendampingan. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan pre dan post test serta  .Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata pre test sebesar 57, sedangkan nilai rata-rata post tes adalah 89. Berdasarkan hasil uji t berpasangan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengetahuan dan ketrampilan lanjut usia meningkat secara signifikan setelah kegiatan. Alih teknologi dan pendampingan tentang penyakit osteoporosis dan pencegahannya dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang kadar vitamin D dan kalsium lanjut usia.Kata Kunci: vitamin D, Kalsium, Lanjutusia, Osteoporosis

Abstract

Odor Sensor Digital (OSD) is a device used to detect the smell of injuries that reflect the level of infection. How it works OSD in detecting the level of infection is to capture odors contained in the wound, then the result is sent to the laptop and will be translated and summarized by the software (Software). The goal is to determine the level of infection as a basis for determining an accurate diagnosis. OSD will provide convenience for all healthcare professionals who manage patients, both patients with burns and wound infections. Abstract

Introduction: Infertility in men is becoming more frequent and are usually caused by high levels of free radicals as a result of diet, smoking or pollution. Oxidative stress can be reduced by antioxidants, but a source of exogenous antioxidants are generally expensive. Date seed known contain a lot of antioxidants. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of date seed steeping against MDA levels and sperm counts in rats model induced of monosodium glutamate (MSG). Method: This study was a pure experimental method using a post-test only with control group design. The treatments were grouped into 4 groups. Deglet Noor of date seed were used, washed and dried before roasting and smoothed. Sperm count is calculated in accordance research of Rahmanisa and Maisuri, (2013) and MDA examination with the C-18 method of TBARS (Thiobarbituric Acid Reactive Substances). Data were analyzed by one way ANOVA and continued with post hoc test. Results: There were differences in MDA levels and sperm counts between various groups. Giving date seed steeping 10.5 mg/gBW can decrease malondialdehyde levels in experimental animals after MSG induced significantly. The number of sperm increased significantly after the experimental animals were given a dose of date seed steeping 10.5 mg / g. Abstract

The tyrosine kinase receptor RET, which is the protein product of the RET gene, is involved in the development of the mammalian nervous system that causes Hirschsprung’s disease (HSCR). RETs are cell surface molecules that are expressed in cells derived from the neural crest. The purpose of this study was to investigate the polymorphism of the RET gene in HSCR in the Yogyakarta population. Genomic DNA was extracted from surgically removed bowel tissues of 54 unrelated HSCR patients. Exon 2 of the RET gene was amplified by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and analyzed by restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP). Molecular results were compared with clinical performance of Hirschsprung patients. RET polymorphism was detected in exon 2 in all of the 54 Indonesian HSCR patients. The allelic distribution of the c135GàA polymorphism in the RET exon 2 indicated that the A allele was more frequent in patients than in control individuals (chi-square test, p= 0.001). Thus the RET variant allele A is over-represented in patients affected with the HSCR phenotype. Polymorphism of exon 2 of the RET gene was found in sporadic Hirschsprung’s disease in the Yogyakarta population, which suggests that the RET gene plays important roles in the pathogenesis of HSCR.

Abstract

Abstract  The aim of this study was to determine factors associated with diminished appetite in CKD patients undergoing hemodialysis therapy. This study is an observational analytic research with cross sectional design. Population of this study was CKD outpatients undergoing hemodialysis therapy in July- August 2016 in Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Hospitals. Amount of 58 subjects taken by consecutive sampling. Appetite, sex, age, length of hemodialysis, frequency of nausea/vomiting, and depression were measured using questionnaire. Subjects who diminished appetite were 58,6%. More than half subjects were male (56,9%). Amount of 84,5% subjects were adults (19-59 years), 63,8% undergoing hemodialysis >1year, 39,7% experienced nausea/ vomiting and 53,4% were depression. Based on Chi-Square Test/ Fisher Exact Test, diminished appetite significantly associated with length of hemodialysis (p=0,041), frequency of nausea/vomiting (p=0,014), and depression (p=0,002). Dominant factors affected diminished appetite were depression and length of hemodialysis. Diminished appetite in CKD patients undergoing hemodialysis therapy associated with length of hemodialysis, frequency of nausea/vomit, and depression. Keyword : appetite, chronic kidney disease, hemodialysi  Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor- faktor yang berhubungan dengan penurunan nafsu makan pada pasien Gagal Ginjal Kronik (GGK) yang menjalani terapi hemodialisis. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik observasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah pasien GGK rawat jalan yang menjalani terapi hemodialisis pada bulan Juli- Agustus 2016 di RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto. Sebanyak 58 subjek diambil dengan cara consecutive sampling. Nafsu makan, jenis kelamin, usia, lama hemodialisis, frekuensi mual/muntah, dan depresi diukur menggunakan kuesioner. Responden yang mengalami penurunan nafsu makan sebanyak 58,6%. Lebih dari separuh responden (56,9%) berjenis kelamin laki- laki dan 84,5% responden berusia dewasa (19-59 tahun). Sebanyak 63,8% responden menjalani hemodialisis >1tahun. Responden yang mengalami mual/muntah berat sebanyak 39,7% dan 53,4% mengalami depresi. Berdasarkan analisis bivariat menggunakan Uji Chi- Square/ Fisher Exact diperoleh hasil bahwa nafsu makan berhubungan secara signifikan dengan lama hemodialisis (p=0,041), frekuensi mual/ muntah (p=0,014), dan depresi (p=0,002). Faktor dominan yang mempengaruhi penurunan nafsu makan adalah depresi dan lama hemodialisis. Penurunan nafsu makan pada pasien GGK yang menjalani terapi hemodialisis berhubungan dengan lama hemodialisis, frekuensi mual/muntah, dan depresi. Abstract

ABSTRACT The incidence of Diabetes Melitus has increased. Someone with age > 45 years has exposed the risk of Diabetes Melitus. Increasing of Diabetes Melitus can increase the risk of other diseases and death. Treatment on people affected by the disease of Diabetes Melitus can be done through the intake of food and physical activity. Find out about relation between weekly physical activity, the level consumption of carbohydrates and fibers on blood sugar concetration of the beginning and end the elderly at Posbindu Sehati. Total of the respondents are 46 and all of them are female by the average age 54.72. 41 respondents are graduated from primary school and Junior High school. The average of physical activity respondents is 4364.98. 23 people included in the category of less of the level consumption of carbohydrates. While the level consumption of respondents entirely fiber was much less. The result showed that the physical activity, the level consumption of carbohydrates and fibers had no relationship with blood sugar fasting month in elderly the beginning and the end with p each 0.661; 0.327; and 0.530. The results show that the variable physical activity, the level consumption of carbohydrates and fibers has no relationship with fasting blood sugar levels at the beginning and end of the elderly with value p each 0.661; 0.327; and 0.530. Physical activity, the level consumption of carbohydrates and fibers not related with fasting blood sugar levels.  Keywords: Physical activity, carbohydrates, fibers, fasting blood sugar levels. ABSTRAK Latar Belakang: Kejadian Diabetes Melitus telah meningkat. Seseorang dengan usia> 45 tahun telah terkena risiko Diabetes Melitus. Meningkatnya Diabetes Melitus dapat meningkatkan risiko penyakit dan kematian lainnya. Pengobatan pada orang yang terkena penyakit Diabetes Melitus bisa dilakukan melalui asupan makanan dan aktivitas fisik. Tujuan Penelitian: Cari tahu tentang hubungan antara aktivitas fisik mingguan, tingkat konsumsi karbohidrat dan serat pada concetration gula darah awal dan akhir lansia di Posbindu Sehati. Metodologi: Jumlah responden adalah 46 dan semuanya perempuan dengan usia rata-rata 54,72. 41 responden lulus dari sekolah dasar dan sekolah menengah pertama. Rata-rata aktivitas fisik responden adalah 4364,98. 23 orang termasuk dalam kategori kurang dari tingkat konsumsi karbohidrat. Sedangkan tingkat konsumsi responden seluruhnya serat jauh lebih sedikit. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas fisik, tingkat konsumsi karbohidrat dan serat tidak memiliki hubungan dengan bulan puasa gula pada lansia awal dan akhir dengan p masing-masing 0,661; 0,327; dan 0,530 Hasil Penelitian: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel aktivitas fisik, tingkat konsumsi karbohidrat dan serat tidak memiliki hubungan dengan tingkat gula darah puasa pada awal dan akhir lansia dengan nilai p masing-masing sebesar 0,661; 0,327; dan 0,530. Kesimpulan: Aktivitas fisik, tingkat konsumsi karbohidrat dan serat tidak berhubungan dengan kadar gula darah puasa. Kata kunci: Aktivitas fisik, karbohidrat, serat, kadar gula darah puasa.

Abstract

Background: Stroke is a disease of the brain in form of nerve dysfunction locally or globally, appears in sudden, progressive, and fast. World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that the stroke caused 5.7 million deaths in the world. Stroke can be caused by bleeding or clotting. The wide of diameter of the lesions in patients with hemorrhagic stroke increased 20% compared with the extent of the lesion in patients with ischemic stroke. Prevalence of malnutrition significantly more general in hemorrhagic stroke (62%) than ischemic stroke (25%). The impact of malnutrition in stroke patient can increase mortality after three months onset of stroke.   Methods: The research conducted in Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo hospital, using a cross sectional study program and using purposive sampling technique. The total of sample used is 44 people, consisting of a group of non-hemorrhagic stroke and hemorrhagic stroke. The analysis of data is using t independent bivariate test.   Results: The group average intake levels of hemorrhagic stroke is lower than ischemic stroke. According to the anthropometry index MUAMC and BMI, the hemorrhagic stroke group average is lower than the ischemic stroke.   Conclusion: According to the result of statistic analysis, the researcher did not find a significant difference on the intake of nutrient and nutritional status in hemorrhagic stroke and ischemic stroke patient.

Abstract

Background : Chronic kidney disease is a progressive destruction of renal structure and continuously. Fatigue is one of the few complaints that often felt by patients with chronic kidney disease. Prevalence of fatigue in patients with chronic kidney disease is high. Patients with chronic kidney disease characterized by elevated levels of serum urea, creatinine, and decreased levels of haemoglobin.Objective : To determine correlation between the levels of serum urea, creatinine, and haemoglobin with fatigue in patients with chronic kidney disease at Haemodialisa Unit, dr. R. Goeteng Taroenadibrata General Hospital Purbalingga.Method : This research using observational analytic design with cross sectional study conducted in dr. R. Goeteng Taroenadibrata General Hospital Purbalingga. The samples used were 30 patients with total sampling technique. The research instrument used secondary data from laboratory test result and questioner with interview.Result : Characteristics of respondents for the ages at most between 50-57 years that was 33,00%. For gender, male sex more than female, male 17 respondents female 13 respondents. And private sector workers had the highest number with 11 respondents (36,67% ). Mean of the serum urea levels as much as 158,09; creatinine levels 12,00; haemoglobin levels 8,19; and the fatigue?s score 29,90. The result of this study, there was no correlation between the serum urea levels with fatigue (p = 0,928 ; ? = 0,05), there was no correlation between creatinine with fatigue ( p = 0,863 ; ? = 0,05 ), and there was significant correlation between haemoglobin with fatigue with negative moderate correlation between the variables (p = 0,021 ; ? = 0,05; r = -0,419).Conclusion : The lower haemoglobin levels the increase fatigue scores.

Abstract

Weight Training adalah metode latihan untuk meningkatkan kekuatan dan kinerja neuromuskular melalui proses hyperthropy, namun juga meningkatkan produksi Laktat, menyebabkan inflamasi otot, meng-gangu metabolisme tubuh sehingga menurunkan performa. Stimulus dingin pada Cold water Immersion dapat mengurangi laju metabolisme, menyerap suhu jaringan lokal, menurunkan kepekaan saraf dan mengu-rangi rasa nyeri sehingga menurunkan resiko terjadinya cidera musculoskeletal dan kelainan metabolisme. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh cold water Immersion 5°C (CWI5°C) terhadap Laktat pada darah, nyeri otot, fleksibilitas dan tingkat stress pasca latihan berbeban intensitas sub maksimal. Pre- dan Post-test dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kelompok kontrol dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sebanyak 15 sampel kelompok eksperimen diberikan CWI5°C selama 15 menit setelah latihan berbeban, sedangkan 15 sampel kelompok kontrol menggunakan metode Statis Stretching (SS) salama 15 menit. Uji prasarat menggunakan Shapiro-Wilk, sedangkan analisa Bivariate menggunakan Paired Sample T-test dan Independent Sample t-test. Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu metode CWI5°C lebih cepat menurunkan Kadar Laktat (t=2.32±0.27, p=0,001), mengurangi nyeri otot (t=5.32±1.07, p=0,003) dan menurunkan stress (t=13.02±1.27, p=0,001), sedangkan SS meningkatkan fleksibilitas (t=17.98±2.76, p=0,001). Dapat disimpulkan cold water Immersion suhu 5°C selama 15 menit mempercepat proses recovery, mengurangi inflamasi otot dan menurunkan stress, sedangkan statis stretching meningkatkan fleksibilitas setelah latihan berbeban intensitas sub maksimal. The effect of cold water immersion on lactate, muscle soreness, flexibility and stress level post-sub-maximal physical exercises AbstractStrength is one of the main components of bio-motor affecting the development of other physical components. Strength training improves strength and neuromuscular coordination, muscle hypertrophy, contrary causes physical stressor, muscle inflammation, produce muscular disease, increases lactate levels, interferes body metabolism, thus decreases performance. Appropriate recovery methods can prevent over-training, musculoskeletal injuries, stress levels. The study examines the effect of cold water immersion 5°C (CWI5°C) on blood lactate, muscle soreness, flexibility, and stress level after high-intensity resistance training. The study design was pre- and Post-test using a cross-sectional approach with the control group. It gave selected 15 samples treated with CWI5°C for 15 minutes directly after high-intensity resistance training, while control samples with static stretching for 15 minutes. The prerequisite test uses Shapiro-Wilk, while the bivariate analysis uses paired sample T-test and independent sample T-test. The results showed there were significant differences between the two groups (p=0.001). The CWI-5 C method recover lactate levels faster (p = 0.001), reduces muscle pain (p=0.003), decrease stress (p=0.002), while SS increase muscle flexibility (p=0.001). We can conclude that 15°C cold water immersion for 15 minutes accelerates recovery, reduce muscle inflammation and stress level, while static stretching increases flexibility after high-intensity resistance training.
