Abstract

Military Academy is an educational training institution in the field of defense, which implements the changes of the quality assurance system based on the ten components of the Army education to the internal academic quality assurance system that is based on the Higher Education National Standards (SN-PT). Military Academy requires strengthening to find a model of appropriate quality assurance system in order to be accreditable by the National Accreditation Board of Higher Education. This study aims to (1) analyze the current quality assurance system in the Military Academy; (2) develop an appropriate SN-PT based model of internal academic quality assurance system in the Military Academy; (3) examine the feasibility of the appropriate SN-PT based internal academic quality assurance system in the Military Academy. This study implemented a research and development approach, employing data sourced from the informants, events and documents. The data were drawn through interviews, observation, and documentation; its validity was tested by tools and resources triangulation. The data were then analyszed using interactive techniques with reduction, display, and conclusion steps. The results of the study: (1) the quality assurance system in the Military Academy is running properly but it still requires further development; (2) the  SN-PT based of internal academic quality assurance system implemented in the Military Academy uses the 10 basic  education components   retained by elaboration, little changes, and additions, related to general quality standards of the SN-PT, including the organizational structure, standards of academic quality, mechanism of the quality assurance system, and SN-PT based internal academic quality assurance system. (3) The results of the feasibility studies indicate that the development of the SN-PT based internal academic quality assurance system model in the Military Academy Magelang is feasible and appropriate. Abstract

Singapore did reclamation since 1962. Reclamation is done because the beach area of ​​the land is narrow, for anticipating the growth in population and economic and business considerations. Reclamation conducted in almost all parts of the coast of Singapore has managed to expand its land area. If at the time of independence the size of Singapore only 581 km2, in 2000 the total area of ​​the land has reached 766 km2. The purpose of the thesis writer is to know the situation that occurred today in the Strait of Malacca, to determine the impact that occurs in the presence of reclamation, and to know the solution of Indonesia-Singapore border conflict. In the thesis the author using qualitative methods. Authors make reference source in this thesis are the books, seminars and articles from the internet. The survey results revealed that Singapore's reclamation conducted an impact on the determination of the maritime boundary between Indonesia and Singapore. Reclamation can cause maritime boundary between Indonesia and Singapore shifted to the south. According to international law, this is possible because the maritime boundary between the two countries has not been determined and the possibility of Singapore finished using a new starting point of land reclamation results in the determination of the maritime boundary. While the central part of the maritime boundary established de jure not be shifted because of an agreement on the state border is final and can not be changed. Reclamation which causes a shift in the maritime boundary between Indonesia and Singapore that bring benefits to Singapore because of an area and its territorial sovereignty can be increased. In contrast, Singapore's reclamation bring harm to Indonesia because of the territorial waters and territorial sovereignty is reduced.

Abstract

“Paperless office” is an idea that emerges to save the environment by reducing the use of paper and switch it into technology. Paperless office (PLO) is a web-based application which is used to do online mailing administration and has been applied in some organizations such as universities, companies, and other administrative activities. Digital media products support changes from hardcopy to paperless, from book to flashdisk, smartphone, e-mail, e-books and others, as well as physical interaction to virtual collaboration. This research aims to spot the implementation of the administration system and academic services based on paperless office at the Indonesian Military Academy. This research uses a qualitative approach by using interviews, observations and documentations as the data collection techniques used. The research result shows that the implementation of administrative systems and academic services at Indonesian Military Academy currently uses manuals or conventional method. The Military Academy as an educational institution which can not been able to get rid of the need for paper in each work unit activities. The entire academic community of the Military Academy should commit to making well-progressing changes, it is expected that the implementation of administrative system and academic services paperless office-based in the Military Academy can be realized significantly.

Abstract

Currently, CCTV technology is becoming the center of attention from various circles, especially in the judicial world. This is because the application of CCTV technology with artificial intelligence can make a significant contribution to criminal investigation tasks by facilitating the collection of stronger evidence and the identification of criminals, although there are still challenges related to the limitations of the existence and validity of evidence in court. However, the fact is that the legality of CCTV as valid evidence has not yet been established as legitimate proof in court. Nevertheless, CCTV has greatly supported the tasks of the Criminal Investigation Unit at the Military Police Detachment IV/2 Yogyakarta. This research aims to understand how the Criminal Investigation Unit utilizes CCTV in its primary duties. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with direct observation by the researcher as an instrument. The researcher also conducted interviews and searched for documents that could strengthen the findings. The data was then analyzed in-depth and holistically regarding the phenomenon being studied, along with a deeper contextual understanding. The results of the research indicate that the use of CCTV greatly supports the primary duties of investigation unit commander at the Military Police Detachment IV/2 Yogyakarta. The results from CCTV can enhance the performance of investigators in uncovering cases. CCTV results also provide accurate information in the investigation process, allowing investigative activities to proceed more effectively and efficiently.
