Abstract

The role of education is to produce quality human resources and possessing knowledge and skills in the field of cloth, of course, can only be obtained through a maximally managed learning process. This study aims to determine the effect of learning methods and learning media on the level of knowledge and skills and their impact on the creativity of making clothes for PKK FT UNM (Family Welfare Education Department, Engineering Faculty, Universitas Negeri Makassar) students. The design of this study used quantitative correlations using path analysis to see direct and indirect causality relationships through intermediary variables and developed into the analysis of Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). The population in this study were all students who had programmed the Course for Making Cloth totalling 135 people. The results of the study showed: (1) The learning method has a significant effect on the level of knowledge but did not affect the skills and creativity of making dresses in the PKK FT UNM  students; (2) Learning media does not significantly influence the level of knowledge and skills in making clothes but gives a significant influence on the creativity of making clothes; (3) The level of knowledge has a significant effect on the level of skill and the level of creativity in making clothes at the PKK FT UNM  students but the skill level does not significantly influence the creativity of making clothes for PKK FT UNM  students.

Abstract

In the world of education, the curriculum has an important role in determining the direction and quality of learning experienced by students. The implementation of an independent learning curriculum designed to increase student involvement and responsibility in the learning process. This research is ex-post facto research with a quantitative type of research. This research aims to determine the description of the implementation of the Independent Learning Curriculum in the Fashion Department and the Learning Motivation of Students in the Fashion Department. This type of research is ex-po facto. The population in this study were class X and XI students majoring in fashion design. The sampling technique uses a population sample method where if the population is less than 100 then the entire population becomes the sample, namely a sample size of 50 students. The data collection techniques used are observation, documentation and questionnaires. The analysis techniques used are descriptive statistical analysis and inferential analysis. The results of the research show a picture of the implementation of the independent learning curriculum majoring in fashion design with a percentage of 34% or 17 students who produced an interval of 40-43 which was categorized as moderate; and Description of the learning motivation of students majoring in fashion design with a percentage of 32% or 16 students who produced the highest interval of 43-46 which was in the high category. If the implementation of an independent learning curriculum is proven to be effective in increasing motivation, the implication for the world of education is that there will be a push to implement a more flexible and adaptive approach in various practice-oriented classes.

Abstract

Kegiatan Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan kemandirian ibu-ibu rumah tangga usia lanjut di Desa Moncongloe, Kabupaten Maros, dalam melakukan perawatan kulit melalui inovasi pengaplikasian lulur kopi berbasis bahan lokal. Pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan metode ceramah, diskusi, tanya jawab, demonstrasi, dan praktik langsung untuk kelompok usia lanjut. Sebanyak 10 ibu-ibu usia lanjut mengikuti pelatihan yang diawali pemberian pemahaman mengenai perubahan kulit usia lanjut, manfaat kopi untu perawatan kulit. Proses dilanjutkan dengan demonstrasi pembuatan lulur kopi, selanjutnya mitra sasaran melakukan praktik langsung. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada pengetahuan peserta mengenai perawatan kulit alami, kemampuan membuat dan mengaplikasikan lulur kopi, serta perubahan kondisi kulit yang ditandai dengan meningkatnya kelembutan, berkurangnya kekeringan, dan bertambahnya kenyamanan setelah penggunaan. Evaluasi tambahan mengungkap meningkatnya motivasi peserta untuk merawat kulit secara rutin serta munculnya ketertarikan mengembangkan lulur kopi sebagai produk rumah tangga. Faktor pendorong keberhasilan program meliputi tingginya antusiasme peserta, ketersediaan bahan lokal, serta efektivitas metode demonstratif, sedangkan faktor penghambat berupa keterbatasan literasi teknis dan sarana dapat diatasi melalui pendampingan. Secara keseluruhan, program ini tidak hanya meningkatkan kompetensi personal ibu-ibu usia lanjut, tetapi juga memperkuat komunikasi sosial serta membuka peluang ekonomi yang mudah dijangkau oleh ibu-ibu usia lanjut
