Abstract

There are several abilities that can accommodate students in facing the 21st century, one of which is the ability to think creatively, but based on educational report cards, students' ability to think creatively is low. This study aims to describe a learning model that can stimulate the emergence of creative thinking abilities of elementary school students through the literature study method. Based on the results of the research and discussion, the researchers concluded that increasing the ability to think creatively can be pursued through three types of learning models, including (1) problem-based learning models, (2) discovery-based learning models, and (3) project-based learning models. These learning models include problem-solving, problem-posing, problem-based learning, guided inquiry learning, discovery learning, and project-based learning. This learning model was chosen because it has been proven by many researchers and has syntactic relations and indicators of creative thinking ability

Abstract

Creativity constitutes a fundamental competency for meeting the complex demands of the 21st century and should be cultivated from an early age, particularly within the context of mathematics education. This study aims to analyze the integration of the STEAM approach in mathematics learning as an effort to enhance the creativity of elementary school students. The study was conducted using a descriptive qualitative method through a literature review by analyzing eight relevant national and international articles related to the research topic. The results indicate that the STEAM approach is effective in developing three creativity indicators: fluency (the ability to generate many ideas), flexibility (the ability to think from various perspectives), and novelty (originality in ideas and solutions). Students become more active, able to solve problems innovatively, and relate mathematical concepts to real-life situations through project-based activities. The implementation of the STEAM approach also faces several challenges, including limited time, facilities and infrastructure, and teacher readiness. Therefore, continuous efforts are needed to optimize the integration of the STEAM approach to produce creative, adaptive students who are ready to face future challenges.

Abstract

This article examines the value of children's involvement in the Great Children's Olympics as a means to develop their potential. Through entertaining and educational competitions, the Olympics aims to improve children's social, cognitive and motor skills. Through the use of a PAR approach, the researcher was able to gain first-hand insight into the needs and development of the children during the Olympics, as well as actively engage participants in the research process and provide opportunities for them to contribute to the development of this activity. By using this technique, the researcher was able to adapt the program in real time in response to feedback from participants and observers, making the program more inclusive and sensitive to the needs of each individual. The PAR method was used in the Great Kids Olympics, and the results are highlighted in this article. The results showed that the children who participated in this activity not only significantly improved their intelligence, social skills, and self-confidence, but also developed a sense of responsibility and cooperation. The research also emphasizes the importance of involving parents, teachers and facilitators among other stakeholders in creating activities that can maximize children's potential. The article argues that by using a PAR approach in activities such as the Great Children's Olympics, children's potential can be developed holistically and more meaningful and sustainable learning can be facilitated.

Abstract

Islamic education in Indonesia is still hindered by the dichotomy of knowledge and a lack of integration between modern science and Islamic values. This study aims to analyze the direction of educational reform through a synthesis of the Islamization of knowledge and the integrative-holistic paradigm. Employing a qualitative library research method, it evaluates the thoughts of al-Faruqi, al-Attas, Fazlur Rahman, and Seyyed Hossein Nasr. The conceptual findings indicate that the integrative-holistic paradigm transcends the limitations of Islamization by offering a transdisciplinary framework that balances revelation, reason, and empiricism. Epistemological reconstruction based on tawḥīd is identified as the primary catalyst for transforming curricula and institutional governance. This study asserts that this model is more contextually relevant for Indonesia as it fosters a rational, spiritual, and contextual educational system. The research concludes that transitioning toward a value-oriented, transdisciplinary system is a vital instrument for the reconstruction of modern Islamic civilization.

Abstract

This study examines methodological approaches and analytical practices in qualitative case study research within educational contexts. The increasing diversity in the interpretation and implementation of case study research has created methodological inconsistencies, particularly in research design, data collection, and data analysis procedures. Therefore, this systematic review aims to identify methodological characteristics, classify case study approaches, and analyze analytical practices employed in qualitative educational case study research. This study employed a systematic literature review guided by the PRISMA framework. Articles were retrieved from Scopus-indexed journals published between 2018 and 2023. The selected studies were analyzed based on research design, participant selection, data collection techniques, and data analysis procedures. The findings reveal that qualitative case study research in education predominantly employs semi-structured interviews, observations, and document analysis as primary data sources. Thematic analysis, coding procedures, and triangulation techniques were frequently used to enhance data validity and interpretation. The review also identified variations in the classification and implementation of intrinsic, instrumental, explanatory, and exploratory case studies. These findings highlight the importance of methodological rigor and conceptual clarity in conducting qualitative case study research in educational settings.
