Abstract

Novelty is an important element in a study, including in student thesis research. However, the conditions in the field, the quality of student thesis is still lacking where the themes studied from time to time, from one generation to the next are almost the same and keep repeating, student skills in determining and selecting research themes that are new and relevant to current conditions still very low. It is rare to find elements of novelty and usefulness principles from the thesis research conducted. Students are often confused when asked about the novelty of the research they have done. Facing this, one of the initial solutions offered is to conduct a workshop on techniques for determining research gaps and the novelty of a study for students, especially 6th semester students who will propose topics or thesis titles. Reviewing various literatures to see research gaps from a major research theme will assist students in demonstrating elements of novelty or novelty from the research being conducted, thereby increasing the quality of the resulting thesis. This service activity certainly aims to provide knowledge and understanding to students about research gaps and novelty and how to determine techniques. The stages in this workshop activity are from the coordination stage, the promotion stage, the implementation stage as well as the evaluation and reporting stage. This workshop activity was carried out on Campus 2 of FKIP University of Mataram on May 27 2023. Based on the results of the pretest and posttest there was an increase in the understanding of the students participating in the workshop regarding the concept of research gap and novelty and based on the results of the participants' responses to the workshop activities carried out, the average student gave a positive response

Abstract

Penggunaan media pembelajaran sangat penting digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Penggunaan media dalam pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan minat dan motivasi siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan guru dalam menggunakan media gambar pada pembelajaran IPA di SDN 2 TEKO. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah guru kelas III di SDN 2 TEKO. Teknik pegumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan guru dalam menggunakan media gambar sudah baik. Hal ini dilihat dari bagaimana guru melakukan perencanaan pembelajaran penggunaan media gambar, dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPA menggunaan media gambar dengan lancar, serta evaluasi pembelajaran IPA dengan baik. Meskipun demikian masih terdapat kendala yang di alami guru dalam menggunakan media gambar yaitu: 1. Kendala membuat media gambar yang sesuai untuk materi yang diajarkan dalam proses pembelajaran. 2. Kesulitan guru menggunakan  teknologi seperti internet, sehingga kesulitan mencari referensi gambar yang tepat. Upaya untuk mengatasi kendala tersebut adalah guru mencoba melakukan pembiasaan dalam menggunakan media internet untuk mencari refernsi gambar yang sesuai dengan materi pembelajaran yang akan diajarkan kepada siswa. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa guru sudah bisa menggunakan media gambar dalam pembelajaran IPA dengan baik.

Abstract

Pembelajaran berdiferensiasi adalah pembelajaran yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan dan kemampuan setiap siswa yang berbeda-beda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan guru dalam menerapkan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi di SDN Gugus I Kecamatan Mataram. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Adapun jumlah sampel penelitian adalah empat sekolah yang terdiri dari guru kelas I dan guru kelas IV yang ada di SDN Gugus I Kecamatan Mataram. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dalam pelaksanaan penelitian ini adalah metode angket/kuesioner, wawancara dan dokumentasi yang bertujuan untuk mendapatkan data atau informasi tentang “Kemampuan Guru dalam Menerapkan Pembelajaran Berdiferensiasi di SDN Gugus I Kecamatan Mataram”. Uji validitas instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah uji validasi ahli. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan diperoleh nilai rata-rata deskriptif persentase dari ketujuh indikator kemampuan guru dalam menerapkan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi yaitu sebesar 83,75% dan termasuk dalam kriteria “Tinggi”. Nilai deskriptif persentase tertinggi diperoleh pada kemampuan guru dalam melakukan perencanaan dan pelaksanaan asesmen diagnostik serta kemampuan guru dalam melakukan penyesuaian pembelajaran dengan tahap capaian dan karakteristik siswa yang memiliki nilai deskriptif persentase sebesar 87,5% dan termasuk dalam kriteria “Tinggi”. Nilai deskriptif persentase terendah diperoleh pada kemampuan guru dalam melakukan pelaporan kemajuan belajar yang memiliki nilai deskriptif persentase sebesar 68,75% dan termasuk dalam kriteria “Sedang”.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a STEAM-based Monopoly learning media in the science and social (IPAS) subject to train the problem-solving skills of fifth-grade students at SDN 1 Darmaji, ensuring the media is valid, practical, and effective. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with a model consisting of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE). The research subjects consist of 1 teacher and 20 fifth-grade students, while the research object was the STEAM-based Monopoly learning media. Data collection instruments include observation sheets, interview guidelines, a preliminary study questionnaire, an expert validation questionnaire, a practicality questionnaire, and tests. The data collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests. Afterward, it was analyzed by qualitative and quantitative descriptively. The research results showed that the media’s validity level achieved a percentage of 81.73% from subject matter experts, included into the “highly valid” category, and 92% from media experts, also included into the “highly valid” category. The practicality level, based on teachers’ responses, was 85% in the “highly practical” category, and based on students’ responses, was 93% in the “highly practical” category. The effectiveness level indicates an N-gain score of 0.62, classified as moderate, which means the media is quite effective in developing students’ problem-solving skills. The STEAM-based Monopoly learning media has proven to be highly valid, very practical, and sufficiently effective being used in learning process of IPAS subject for fifth-grade students at SDN 1 Darmaji.

Abstract

Early reading is a basic skill that is important to be mastered by elementary school students as a foundation in acquiring various learning competencies. This study aims to determine the effect of the flashcard-assisted teams games tournament (TGT) model on the early reading skills of second-grade students at SDN 31 Ampenan. This study is a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design. The subjects of the study were second-grade students at SDN 31 Ampenan. The data collection method used observation and a beginning reading skills test that had been tested for validity. The results of the study showed a significant difference in the beginning reading skills of the two classes, so Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. Finally, the results of the N-Gain test showed that the increase in the beginning reading skills of students in the experimental class was higher than in the control class. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is an effect of the flashcard-assisted TGT model on the beginning reading skills of second-grade students at SDN 31 Ampenan.
