Abstract

This research aims to explore the impact of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) on assertive behavior among Special Education Teachers (SETs). Due to the heavy workload and demands, teachers may experience cognitive disturbances. The study employs a quantitative experimental approach, focusing on a single participant, a 23-year-old SET named PAS, a new teacher in an Inclusive School for Special Needs in Kab Blitar, with low assertive behavior based on interview assessments, observations, graphic tests (BAUM, DAP & HTP), Wartegg, CFIT, and assertiveness scales. Sampling is done purposively. The Assertiveness Inventory serves as the research instrument, administered over eight sessions lasting 60 minutes each. Pre-test and post-test evaluations were conducted to assess changes. The findings indicate an improvement in assertive behavior for the participant, as evidenced by an increase in assertive behavior scores on the Assertiveness Inventory scale. Additionally, a reduction or elimination of negative thoughts and behaviors in the participant was observed. This research is vital for understanding how CBT can effectively enhance assertive behavior, particularly in the context of special education teachers facing significant work-related challenges. The results provide a foundation for developing interventions or programs that can be broadly applied to help educators enhance their assertive communication skills. Moreover, the study sheds light on the positive impacts anticipated from integrating cognitive behavior therapy in the development of assertive behavior.

Abstract

Online game that contain element of violence and can be play multiplayer can trigger emergence of aggressive behavior especially for teenagers who use online games. The purpose of this study is to know is there a relationship between extraversion personality and aggressive behavior of adolescent who use online games. This research method is correlational with a quantitative approach. The number of subjects is 95 people were taken using a purposive sampling technique with criteria 1) adolescent 13-21 years old, 2) domiciled in Blitar 3) users of online game mobile legends, free fire, PUBG, and genshin impact. Numerical data analysis was processed using statistical methods using the IBM SPSS Statistics 21 application. The results of the research data analysis showed a significance value of t > 0.05 with a value of r > 0.5. So it can be conclude that there is a significant relationship between extraversion personality with aggressive behavior with a negative correlation direction which means if the higher individual’s extraversion personality type, the lower the aggressive behavior. Conversely, if the lower individual's extraversion personality type, aggressive behavior will tend to be high.

Abstract

Keharmonisan sebuah rumah tangga salah satunya ditentukan oleh peran ibu dalam sebuah keluarga, ketika ibu mampu berperan maksimal dalam keluarga maka akan menciptakan suasana yang kondusif dan nyaman bagi anggota keluarga lainnya, namun belakangan ini, munculnya banyak pemberitaan kasus mengenai ibu rumah tangga yang stres dan depresi akibat kurangnya edukasi pengelolaan diri, sehingga memunculkan sikap ekstrim mulai dari perundungan pada anak bahkan hingga tega melakukan pembunuhan pada buah hatinya sendiri, semua itu dilakukan atas motif-motif yang irasional. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain one group pre-test and post-test design. Subjek penelitian ini adalah ibu rumah tangga yang tidak bekerja yang sering memiliki pikiran negative terhadap hidupnya. Karakteristik penelitian ini antara lain: (1) subjek penelitian hanya satu kelompok; (2) subjek penelitian diberikan pre-test sebelum perlakuan dan post-test setelah perlakuan. Dengan dilakukannya penelitian ini diharapkan teknik coping thoght ini efektif untuk menanggulangi negative thinking pada ibu rumah tangga yang tidak bekerja sehingga mampu menumbuhkan keluarga yang harmonis dan meningkatkan kesehatan mental.
