Abstract

This research aims to explore the impact of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) on assertive behavior among Special Education Teachers (SETs). Due to the heavy workload and demands, teachers may experience cognitive disturbances. The study employs a quantitative experimental approach, focusing on a single participant, a 23-year-old SET named PAS, a new teacher in an Inclusive School for Special Needs in Kab Blitar, with low assertive behavior based on interview assessments, observations, graphic tests (BAUM, DAP & HTP), Wartegg, CFIT, and assertiveness scales. Sampling is done purposively. The Assertiveness Inventory serves as the research instrument, administered over eight sessions lasting 60 minutes each. Pre-test and post-test evaluations were conducted to assess changes. The findings indicate an improvement in assertive behavior for the participant, as evidenced by an increase in assertive behavior scores on the Assertiveness Inventory scale. Additionally, a reduction or elimination of negative thoughts and behaviors in the participant was observed. This research is vital for understanding how CBT can effectively enhance assertive behavior, particularly in the context of special education teachers facing significant work-related challenges. The results provide a foundation for developing interventions or programs that can be broadly applied to help educators enhance their assertive communication skills. Moreover, the study sheds light on the positive impacts anticipated from integrating cognitive behavior therapy in the development of assertive behavior.

Abstract

Nomophobia is an individual’s propensity to use smartphones excessively, resulting in feelings of anxiety and panic when away from their devices. Individuals with high self-esteem are typically affable and optimistic, and vice versa. Smartphones are used to escape their disdain for themselves or as a platform for expressing emotions directly or via social media. People who use smartphones excessively in every aspect of their lives will develop a physical dependence on them and become anxious and concerned when they cannot access them. This study examines the relationship between self-esteem and nomophobia using extraversion as a moderating variable. A total of 105 individuals between 18 and 24 were selected using the quota sampling method to participate in this study. The regression test results demonstrate the role of the two predictor variables in extraversion. Moreover, based on the PROCESS model 4 developed by Hayes, it was discovered that the extraversion personality variable had a minor potential to moderate the relationship between self-esteem and nomophobia, thereby providing a buffering effect despite this potential. The frequency of moderation is 0.102, or 10.20%. This indicates that extraversion moderates the impact of self-esteem on nomophobia by 10.20%

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bekerjasama dengan organisasi Gerakan Nasional Anti Narkotika (GRANAT). Tujuan pengabdian ialah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan Kepala Desa sebagai pemimpin wilayahnya agar dapat memberikan perhatian lebih terhadap penyalahgunaan narkotika yang kemungkinan besar bisa mengenai warga diwilayahnya. Pembentukan kelompok kecil sadar narkotika diharapkan masyarakat akan lebih sadar akan bahaya narkotika bahkan pada lingkup yang paling kecil dalam tatanan Masyarakat. Hal ini bertujuan agar pengetahuan, kesadaran dan kewasapadaan masyarakat dapat bertambah. Tim pelaksana pengabdian memberikan solusi terhadap persoalan yang dihadapi mitra organisasi yang bergerak dibidang sosial. Tujuan dan harapan yang besar yaitu agar bangsa ini terselamatkan dari penyalahgunaan narkoba. Sosialisasi yang dilakukan dengan konsep menumbuhkan kesadaran diri dan cinta terhadap diri sendiri. Hal tersebut berdasarkan pada benteng terkuat agar terhentinya tali peredaran maupun penyakahgunaan narkotika kembali kepada individu masing-masing. Target yang ingin dicapai adalah peningkatan kesadaran dan mencintai diri sendiri dimasyarakat terutama didesa untuk memahami dan mencegah penyalagunaan narkotika baik bagi diri sendiri maupun lingkungan disekitarnya. Metode dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini menggunakan cara observasi, membangun kerjasama yang baik dengan mitra agar permasalahan yang terjadi dapat terselesaikan dengan meluangkan waktu fleksibel selama program pengabdian ini berlangsung. Pengabdian yang dilakukan peneliti memberikan hasil bahwa apa yang direncanakan dan dilaksanakan berkaitan dengan solusi dari permasalahan-permasalahan yang ada dapat memberikan pengetahuan metode pembentukan kelompok-kelompok sadar narkotika hingga lingkup paling kecil didalam masyarakat

Abstract

Subjek (A K K D) adalah seorang perempuan yang berusia 21 tahun, merupakan anak ketiga dari tiga bersaudara yang memiliki permasalahan dalam hubungan interpersonal. Berdasarkan hasil asesmen observasi dan wawancara mendalam, ditegakkan diagnosa pada subjek yaitu unfinished business. Unfinished business merupakan memori atau emosi yang berhubungan dengan pengalaman di masa lalu, pada kasus ini yakni permasalahan pada orang tua hingga menimbulkan dampak hingga sekarang pada masalah hubungan interpersonal subjek. Penelitian ini merupakan single subject research atau penelitian eksperimen. Desain penelitian ini digunakan untuk melihat perilaku dan mengevaluasi intervensi atau treatment tertentu pada subyek tunggal dengan penilaian yang dilakukan secara berulang-ulang dalam suatu waktu tertentu. Intervensi bertujuan untuk menyelesaikan konflik masa lalu dan memperbaiki hubungan interpersonal subjek melalui konseling gestalt dengan teknik empty chair. Pemberian intervensi pada penelitian ini terdiri dari tujuh sesi dan berlangsung selama 60 menit di setiap sesinya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa menunjukkan peningkatan pada sebelum dan sesudah intervensi. Peningkatan tersebut ditunjukkan pada perilaku subjek yang mulai dapat berinteraksi dengan baik, lebih percaya diri dan dapat menerima kritikan dari orang lain serta terdapat perubah perasaan yang dirasakan oleh subjek, sehingga subjek mampu menyelesaikan permasalahannya dan meningkatkan hubungan interpersonalnya.

Abstract

Online game that contain element of violence and can be play multiplayer can trigger emergence of aggressive behavior especially for teenagers who use online games. The purpose of this study is to know is there a relationship between extraversion personality and aggressive behavior of adolescent who use online games. This research method is correlational with a quantitative approach. The number of subjects is 95 people were taken using a purposive sampling technique with criteria 1) adolescent 13-21 years old, 2) domiciled in Blitar 3) users of online game mobile legends, free fire, PUBG, and genshin impact. Numerical data analysis was processed using statistical methods using the IBM SPSS Statistics 21 application. The results of the research data analysis showed a significance value of t > 0.05 with a value of r > 0.5. So it can be conclude that there is a significant relationship between extraversion personality with aggressive behavior with a negative correlation direction which means if the higher individual’s extraversion personality type, the lower the aggressive behavior. Conversely, if the lower individual's extraversion personality type, aggressive behavior will tend to be high.

Abstract

Proses pembelajaran mempunyai permasalahan yang erat kaitannya dengan prestasi belajar anak. Prestasi belajar salah satunya dipengaruhi oleh factor motivasi belajar. Pada penelitian ini, subjek mempunyai permasalahan dalam akademiknya. Hal ini disebabkan oleh kurangnya kemampuan subjek dalam memahami materi pelajaran yang disampaikan oleh guru dan diperkuat oleh lingkungan tempat ia tinggal. Subjek kurang mendapatkan perhatian dan pendampingan keluarga dalam belajar dan lingkungan pertemanan yang kebanyakan berusia di atas usia subjek membuat subjek menghabiskan waktunya untuk bermain di warnet. Berdasarkan hasil asesmen wawancara, observasi, dan kuesioner motivasi belajar, subjek mengalami permasalahan motivasi belajar rendah. Desain penelitian ini digunakan untuk melihat perilaku dan mengevaluasi intervensi atau treatment tertentu pada subyek tunggal dengan penilaian yang dilakukan secara berulangulang dalam suatu waktu tertentu. Intervensi bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar subjek melalui konseling behavioral dengan tekhnik positive reinforcement. Pemberian intervensi pada penelitian ini terdiri dari lima sesi dan berlangsung selama 60 menit di setiap sesinya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi perubahan dan peningkatan motivasi belajar pada subjek setelah mengikuti intervensi. Ini berarti program intervensi konseling behavioral dengan teknik positive reinforcement efektif untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar pada subjek

Abstract

This study aims to assess the role of parental attachment and self-esteem on adolescent depression with suicidal tendencies. A quantitative approach was used with simple linear regression and multiple linear regression analysis. Subjects totaled 100 adolescents aged 15 and 21 years who had thoughts of ending life. The results of the first hypothesis analysis showed a significant effect of parental attachment on depression by 41.9% with the acquisition of the calculated t value of -8.141 and a significance value of 0.00. The results of the second hypothesis test regarding the effect of self-esteem on depression get a t value of -9.116 and a significance value of 0.00, which means that self-esteem has a significant influence on depression with a large influence of 56.4%. While testing the third hypothesis which gets the calculated f value of 62.740 and the R-squared value of 0.564 implies that 56.4% of adolescent depression with suicidal tendencies is influenced by parental attachment and self-esteem, while the remaining 43.6% is influenced by other variables.

Abstract

Pregnant women are vulnerable to problems that can create high stress and have a negative impact on their emotions. The desire to be a good and perfect mother can cause pregnant women to face a number of problems or what is called psychological distress. Therefore, immediate solutions are needed to reduce high levels of stress which cause psychological pressure and play an important role in preventive efforts in reducing various types of psychological disorders. This service program aims to provide more knowledge related to the problems of pregnant women and be able to provide mutual support among the surrounding community so that serious problems are minimized and the community can become a good forum for its citizens to exchange ideas and share stories. This preventive service program is provided through providing psychoeducation, discussion, relaxation training, role play and evaluation. The results of the service program show that there is a significant difference in the average psychological distress score between before and after the intervention with a value of p = 0.004 (p < 0.05). The post-test average score of 23.1 is lower than the pre-test average score of 38.3. This means that the intervention provided can reduce the level of psychological distress in pregnant women.
