Abstract

Consider mixing problems which are often found in Calculus or Differential Equation courses. Under some assumptions, this problem can be used to model the purification process in a polluted mixture. In this case, the cascading configuration will be investigated for modelling the spread of pollution from one mixture to another. There are two main problems: finding time needed so the amount of pollutant in mixture inside the certain tank does not exceed certain threshold and finding the number of tanks needed so that the amount of mixture in the last tank does not exceed certain threshold. The solution for the second problem will be simplified by using Stirling approximation, which approximates factorial into exponential term. For the first problem, the time needed depends on the number of tanks, initial value of the pollutant, the rate of flow, and the volume of solution inside the tanks. For the second problem, the number of tanks only depends on the initial value of the pollutant.

Abstract

Gas alam merupakan salah satu sumber energi di dunia yang mana pemanfaatannya di masa depan diperkirakan semakin tinggi dan menjadi sumber energi yang penting. Sebagaimana diketahui bahwa pergerakan dari harga gas alam yang fluktuaktif, hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa harga gas alam bergerak mengikuti proses stokastik. Pada penelitian ini dibahas mengenai prediksi dari harga gas alam dengan menggunakan model Brownian Motion dan Geometric Brownian Motion serta membandingkan hasil prediksi dari kedua model tersebut. Dengan menggunakan 1000 iterasi, nilai MAPE dari hasil prediksi harga gas alam menggunakan model Brownian Motion adalah sebesar 1,4505% dan untuk model Geometric Brownian Motion adalah sebesar 1,0867%.

Abstract

Digital security become increasingly important particularly in medical field as impact of patient privacy and the protection of patient data. This attempt for this research will be made to use elliptic curve cryptography to hide messages in the form of digital images using multiplication matrix modified hill chipper and count entropy and time encryption and decryption. The encryption process, which utilizes matrix multiplication, ensures that the images achieve near-ideal entropy values, close to 8, indicating a high degree of randomness and security. The result is entropy for encrypted image near 8 it means that randomness of image is quite random. Meanwhile for computational time encrypted and decrypted image for one block is around 400000 nano second for encrypt image and 1500000000 nano second for decrypt image.

Abstract

TTechnological advances have a great influence on facilitating long-distance communication, one of which is exchanging messages. The security of a message is an important aspect of protecting sensitive information. Cryptography is a branch of science that aims to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and authenticity of messages in communication. One of the cryptographic methods used is Hill Cipher, which converts plaintext into ciphertext using a key matrix, but Hill Cipher is vulnerable to cryptanalysis attacks, especially if the key matrix is not chosen properly. Based on these problems, this research was conducted by applying the Hill Cipher algorithm with permutation as an additional layer of security. This study aims to analyze the effect of the message and key matrix on the performance of computation time in the encryption and decryption process of Hill Cipher combined with permutation, where the message characters are limited to 26 alphabetic characters and the use of Hill block length and permutation techniques is set at 5 characters. The simulation results show the average performance of computation time on the encryption and decryption process is 0.000083199 seconds and 0.000113493 seconds for a message with 707 characters. The key matrix used must be invertible, and the performance of computation time on encryption and decryption with different keys is 0.000094817 seconds and 0.00025938 seconds.

Abstract

Latar   Belakang:  Provinsi Kalimantan Timur merupakan salah satu provinsi yang memiliki potensi ekonomi yang signifikan di Indonesia. Namun, untuk mencapai pembangunan yang berkelanjutan dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat, perlu dilakukan analisis yang mendalam terhadap faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi Indeks Pembangunan Manusia atau IPM di wilayah ini. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis regresi spasial pada IPM di Kalimantan Timur tahun 2021. Metode: Metodologi penelitian mencakup sumber data yang digunakan dan variabel penelitian yang terdiri dari variabel dependen (IPM) dan variabel independen yang meliputi harapan lama sekolah, umur harapan hidup, rata-rata lama sekolah, rasio ketergantungan, tingkat pengangguran terbuka, dan tingkat partisipasi angkatan kerja. Kemudian akan dibandingkan dengan dua metode yaitu metode Ordinary Least Square (OLS) dan Geographically weighted regression (GWR). Hasil: Model GWR Indeks Pembangunan Manusia di Kalimantan Timur lebih baik dibandingkan model OLS. R square yang didapatkan dengan pemodelan GWR lebih kecil yaitu sebesar 0.984551, Sedangkan Model OLS didapatkan nilai sebesar 0.985. Kesimpulan: Setiap wilayah di Kalimantan Timur memiliki karakteristik yang berbeda-beda atau memiliki unsur spasial. Nilai IPM tertinggi adalah Kota Samarinda, sedangkan terendah adalah Kabupaten Mahakam Ulu.

Abstract

Telagasari Urban Forest, as a unique kerangas forest ecosystem in Kalimantan, holds significant potential in economic, ecological, and social aspects through sustainable management and honey bee cultivation. However, limited digital promotion constrains the utilization of this potential. A community engagement program in RT 45, Telagasari, Balikpapan, aimed to enhance the digital marketing skills of local MSMEs and develop the educational tourism site "Karamunting Honey Bee Tourism." Activities included training in copywriting, content strategy, and digital marketing, followed by hands-on practice, as well as promoting educational tourism for students. Results indicated that digital marketing training effectively improved participants' skills, with a satisfaction level of 87% post-program. Additionally, the development of the honey bee tourism site was supported by an informational website and QR codes on vegetation, enhancing information accessibility and tourism appeal. This program demonstrates that synergy between natural resource utilization and digital strategies can support local product branding while raising environmental conservation awareness.

Abstract

Elliptic curve cryptography is one of the application fields of algebra and number theory concepts. One form of elliptic curve cryptography is Montgomery elliptic curve cryptography. In this paper, a method for a classical cryptographic system be formulated, consisting of encryption and decryption involving twenty-six alphabetical letters which are mapped to points on an elliptic curve by utilizing the order of the point group on the Montgomery elliptic curve. Several examples of implementation in simple cases are given to verify the results.
