Abstract

This study aimed at determining the effect of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi (AMF) and Antagonistic Rhizosphere Fungi (ARF) on growth of Coffea liberica seedlings in peat soils. Eight AMF isolates (without AMF, Glomus sp.-1a, Glomus sp.-3c, Acaulospora sp.-1b, Acaulospora sp.- 2d, Glomus sp.-1a + Glomus sp.-3c, Acaulospora sp.-1b + Acaulospora sp.-2d, and mixtures of Glomus sp.-1a + Glomus sp.-3c + Acaulospora sp.-1b + Acaulospora sp.-2d) were combined with five ARF types (without ARF, Trichoderma sp., Aspergillus sp., Gliocladium sp., and Penicillium sp.). Data were collected on the following variables: seedling height, leaf number, stem diameter, shoot and root dry weight, N and P uptake, and root infection by AMF. Results indicated that Trichoderma sp., in combination with various types of AMF, was the best ARF in promoting C. liberica seedling growth and increasing N and P uptake. On the other hand, the mixture of Glomus sp.-1a + Glomus sp.-3c combined with various types of ARF was the best AMF in promoting seedling growth and increasing N and P uptake. It can be concluded that Trichoderma sp. and the mixture of Glomus sp-1a and Glomus sp-3c were best combination to be applied to promote the C. liberica seedlings grown in peat soil.

Abstract

Pineapple propagation by lateral shoots, suckers or crowns is often confronted with limited number of regenerated seedlings and high diversity in flowering and fruit formation. In order to solve this problem, this study offer an alternative method by using tissue culture techniques. This study aimed to determine the effect of growth regulators on plantlet regeneration from bud slicing of pineapple cv. Tangkit. Four levels of 2.4-D (0.0, 0.001, 0.01 and 0.1 ppm) in combination with BA (0.0, 0.1, 1.0 and 10.0 ppm) were tested on solid MS medium. Cultures were incubated in total darkness for a week followed by transfer to 16-hour photoperiod. Results showed that explants treated with 2,4-D and/or BA succeeded in regenerating adventitious shoots. Average leaf number did not differ significantly among treatments (P = 0.60). Highest leaf number (2.99 ± 0.23) was obtained on medium with 0.01 ppm 2,4-D without BA, followed by 0.1 ppm 2,4-D without BA (2.85 ± 0.33). Meanwhile, roots were only formed on medium with 0.1 ppm 2.4-D without BA (4.2 ± 0.37 per shoot). Thus, complete plantlets were regenerated only on medium supplemented with 0.1 ppm 2,4-D without BA. The growth of plantlets was relatively uniform, and plantlet acclimatization succeeded 100% on Jiffy pots. The finding of optimum concentration of 2.4-D and BA in this study is important to develop standard protocol for in vitro propagation of pineapple cv. Tangkit. Thus, the benefit of producing seeds in large quantities and relatively uniform in growth is made possible through tissue culture technique.

Abstract

This research aims to test the effectiveness of Tricho-tithonia and Cow Biourin, as well as to obtain the best Tricho-tithonia dose and concentration of bovine biourin in inducing the growth and yield of Jambi Local Variety red chili. The research was carried out at the Faperta-Unja (Teaching and Research Farm) research garden, Mendalo Indah, Jambi Outer City District, Muaro Jambi Regency. The study used a randomized block design (RBD) with two factors. The first factor is the dose of Tricho-tithonia (T), consisting of t1 = 0 tons ha-1, t2 = 10 tons ha-1, and t3 = 20 tons ha-1. The second factor is Biourin Concentration (B), consisting of b1 = 30%, b2 = 40%, and b3 = 50%. The treatment was repeated 3 times, resulting in 27 experimental plots. The variables observed were plant height, number of productive branches, flowering age, number of fruits and fruit weight per plant. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA), followed by using the Least Significant Difference (LSD) test with a level of α=5%. The results that Application of Tricho-tithonia 10-20 tons ha-1can increase plant height, number of productive branches, number of fruits and fruit weight per plant up to almost 3 times, and can induce faster flowering. Meanwhile, spraying the plants with bovine biourin at a concentration of 30-50% had the same effect on all observed variables.Keywords: Capsicum annuum, trichocompost, liquid organic fertilizer, Sustainable agriculture

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh data empiris tentang adanya perkawinan sirri dalam hukum positif, pengesahan perkawinan sirri melalui perkawinan sedarah, dan implikasi dari pengesahan perkawinan sirri di Pengadilan Agama Muara Bulian. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian lapangan. Teknik pengelolaan dan analisis data yang meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan data dan pembahasan yang telah dilakukan dan dipaparkan, maka dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut: a) Nikah sirri dalam perspektif hukum positif yaitu dilaksanakan meskipun sah menurut ketentuan agama tetapi tidak dicatatkan dianggap tidak sah dan tidak mempunyai kekuatan hukum karena tidak mempunyai bukti perkawinan yang sah; b) Tidak semua pengesahan nikah sirri melalui pengesahan nikah di Pengadilan Agama Muara Bulian dikabulkan, hanya pernikahan yang dilaksanakan menurut ketentuan syariat Islam, dan c) Pengesahan nikah siri melalui konstituen nikah berimplikasi pada kepastian hukum untuk status hukum perkawinan yang sah dan anak yang lahir di luar nikah mendapat pengakuan negara.
