Abstract

It is necessary for the younger generation to know that around us, namely in the country of Indonesia, echoes of religious moderation have been voiced in various places. Even in the practice of daily life, moderate life needs to be demonstrated by society. One clear example is the existence of a church that is side by side with a mosque, we are also friends with people of different religions from ours, and there are many other things about tolerance. However, it is not uncommon for us to meet in a formal school environment where students' character is formed for the first time, there are still students who are intolerant of other religions. Like what happened at SMAN 6 Depok, where the chairperson who was elected came from a non-Muslim student, but because the person did not accept it, a vote was held again, this happened last November 2020. But, even though many do not maintain tolerance between religious communities, there are still many groups who accept these differences, such as for example the St. Francis Xavier Catholic High School on the NTT route. Where the student council president of the school is a student from the Muslim religion. This is an alarm that needs to be watched out for, and shows that awareness is needed to have a more moderate religious life, and students in this country can become the driving force for tolerance in their respective schools. Every human being has the basic right to determine the choice of belief he wants to hold. For this reason, as educators it is necessary to build a strong sense of tolerance within students to prevent radicalism among students. This research aims to provide understanding and invite Pancasila students to be able to implement attitudes and a high sense of tolerance for anyone. Perlu untuk generasi muda ketahui bahwa di sekitar kita tinggal yaitu di negara Indonesia ini gaung moderasi beragama sudah disuarakan di berbagai tempat. Dalam praktik kehidupan sehari-hari pun kehidupan moderat perlu ditunjukkan oleh masyarakat. Salah satu contoh nyata adanya gereja yang berdampingan dengan masjid, kita juga berteman dengan orang yang berbeda agama dengan agama kita, dan ada banyak hal tentang toleransi lainnya. Namun, tidak jarang pula kita jumpai di lingkungan sekolah formal di mana karakter siswa dibentuk untuk kali pertama, masih saja ada pelajar yang bersikap intoleran terhadap agama lain. Seperti halnya yang telah terjadi di SMAN 6 Depok, di mana ketua yang terpilih berasal dari siswa non-muslim, tetapi karena oknum yang tidak terima maka diadakan voting (pengambilan suara) kembali, ini terjadi pada  November 2020 lalu. Tapi, meskipun banyak yang tidak memelihara toleransi antar umat beragama, masih banyak juga kaum-kaum yang menerima perbedaan itu, seperti contohnya SMA Katolik Santo-Fransiskus Xaverius di Rute NTT. Di mana Ketua OSIS dari sekolah tersebut adalah seorang siswi dari agama Muslim. Hal ini menjadi alarm yang perlu diwaspadai, dan menunjukkan bahwa diperlukannya kesadaran untuk memiliki kehidupan beragama yang lebih moderat, dan pelajar di negeri ini bisa menjadi motor penggerak toleransi di sekolah masing-masing. Setiap manusia memiliki hak asasi untuk menentukan pilihan keyakinan yang ingin dipegang. Untuk itu, sebagai pendidik perlu untuk membangun rasa toleransi yang teguh dalam diri pelajar untuk mencegah radikalisme di kalangan pelajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman serta mengajak para pelajar pancasila agar dapat mengimplementasikan sikap dan rasa toleransi yang tinggi bagi siapa pun.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an instructional material book for increasing the learning process's effectiveness in the religious extension education department. Religious extension education students at Institut Agama Kristen Negeri Tarutung participated in this research. This research method used research and development with the Borg and Gall Model, which, after being modified and adapted, consists of six stages, including (l) doing research and information collection; (2) planning; (3) developing a premier prototype; (4) conducting formative evaluation; (5) conducting product implementation; and (6) conducting summative evaluation. The validation process involved five experts assessing the content's material, media, design, evaluation, and language. Those experts were given questionnaires to evaluate the book's content, media, design, evaluation, and language appropriateness. Accordingly, the research results showed that the instructional material book about Christian religious extension and counseling techniques was feasible, proper, or valid to be used as an instructional material book in the Department of Religious Extension Education. Furthermore, according to the final test (post-test) of summative results carried out after the learning process using the book, the average student's overall score was 87.06, higher than the learning completeness score set at 75. Therefore, it was concluded that instructional material about Christian religious extension and counseling techniques was effective and helpful in enhancing students' knowledge and skills.

Abstract

Religious tolerance supports social peace and brings a better life to the country. Teaching tolerance in early childhood is a challenge for educators. The purpose of this study was to describe changes in the values of religious tolerance in elementary school students. This type of research is a type of qualitative research using a case study design where the researcher participates as an observer. The investigation begins with a documentary analysis of the research material. The next step is to conduct a focus group (FGD). This research resulted in findings that (a) changes in the values of inter-religious tolerance among elementary school (SD) children, especially children aged 6-8 years or grade two, on the basis of all students having the same religion, (2) changes in the values of tolerance between high-value children are taught through integrated learning, (3) while the values of tolerance between children are not specifically taught, values of togetherness such as greeting each other, sharing and supporting the needs of fellow children. taught through group practice. The conclusion of this study is that children quickly become comfortable with each other and form friendships with those who have the same characteristics, such as skin color, face shape, hair type, and even height.

Abstract

The research aims to determine the positive and significant influence of the talking stick type cooperative learning model on the active learning of Christian Religious Education and Characteristics of class IX students at SMP Negeri 4 Balige for the 2023/2024 academic year. The research hypothesis is that there is a positive and significant influence between the talking stick learning model on the active learning of Christian Religious Education and Characteristics of class IX students at SMP Negeri 4 Balige for the 2023/2024 academic year. The experimental research method has a One Shot Case Study design, namely research by giving treatment to groups or samples and then observing the results. Also uses inferential descriptive quantitative methods. The population of all class IX students at SMP Negeri 4 Balige for the 2023/2024 academic year who are Protestant Christians is 208 people. The sample was determined using a purposive sampling technique (purposeful sample), namely class IX-C, totaling 34 people. The research instruments were closed questionnaires and observations. The results of data analysis obtained: a) The values ​​rcount=0.549>rtabel=0.339 and tcount=3.716>ttable=2.042 indicate a positive and significant relationship. b) Regression equation. c) The determination test shows that the magnitude of the effect is 30.14%. d) Hypothesis testing obtained Fcount=12.281>Ftable=3.32 so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. The research concluded that there was a positive and significant influence between the talking stick learning model on the active learning of Christian Religious Education and Characteristics of class IX students at SMP Negeri 4 Balige for the 2023/2024 academic year.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between teacher social competence and the learning motivation of class VIII Christian Religious Education students at SMP Satu Roof Negeri 5 Pangururan. The method used in this research is a descriptive quantitative research method. The population is all 102 students of VIII SMP Satu Atap Negri 5 Pangururan for the 2022/2023 academic year and a sample of 35 people was determined using a random sampling technique. Data was collected using a positive closed questionnaire with 31 items, namely 20 items for variable data as follows: 1) test the positive relationship obtained by the value rxy = 0.574 > rtable(a=0.05,n=35) = 0.334, thus it is known that there is a positive relationship between variable X and variable Y. 2) Test the relationship The significant value obtained is tcount= 4.026 > ttable(a=0.05, dk=n-2=33)=2.042, thus there is a significant relationship between variable X and variable Y. So Ha says there is a relationship between teacher social competence and learning motivation Class VIII Christian Religious Education students at One Roof Middle School 5 Pangururan were accepted and H0 which said there was no relationship was rejected.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of parental motivation on interest in learning Christian Religious Education Class XI Students of PGRI 20 Private High School Siborongborong, North Tapanuli Regency, 2023/2024 Academic Year. The research method used is a quantitative method with inferential descriptive data analysis. The population is all students of class XI SMA PGRI 20 Siborongborong in the 2023/2024 academic year who are Protestant Christians as many as 245 people and a sample of 58 people is determined using the Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling technique (random sample). Data were collected using a positive closed questionnaire of 45 items, namely 20 items for variable X and 25 items for variable Y. The results of data analysis showed that there was an influence of parental motivation on interest in learning in the subject of Christian Religious Education for class XI students at the private high school PGRI 20 Siborongborong North Tapanuli Regency 2023/2024 Academic Year: 1) Test requirements analysis: a) a positive relationship test obtained rxy = 0.558 > rtable(a=0.05, n=58) = 0.254. b) Testing a significant relationship obtained a value of tcount= 5.034 > ttable(a=0.05, dk=n-2=58)= 2.000. 2) Influence test: a) Regression equation test, obtained regression equation Y=41.87+0.52X. b) Regression coefficient of determination test (r2) = 31.2%. 3) Test the hypothesis using the F test to obtain Fcount > Ftable=(a=0.05, dk numerator k=28, dk denominator=n-2=58-2=56) namely 25.32 > 1.39. Thus Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the positive and significant influence of the use of the Auditory Intelectually Repetition (AIR) learning model on the motivation to learn Christian Religious Education and Ethics of grade IX students of SMP Negeri 2 Sumbul, Dairi Regency for the 2023/2024 Learning Year. The research hypothesis is that there is a positive and significant influence between the Auditory Intelectually Repetition (AIR) learning model on the motivation to learn Christian Religious Education and Ethics of grade IX students of SMP Negeri 2 Sumbul for the 2023/2024 Learning Year. The experimental research method designed by One Shot Case Study is research by giving treatment / treatment to groups or samples and then observing the results. Also use inferential descriptive quantitative methods. The population of all grade IX students of SMP Negeri 2 Sumbul for the 2023/2024 Learning Year who are Protestant Christians a total of 192 people. The sample was determined by purposive sampling technique, namely class IX-3 which amounted to 34 people. Research instruments in the form of closed questionnaires and observations. The results of data analysis were obtained: a) The value of rcalculate = 0.556 > rtabel = 0.339 and tcalculate = 3.784 > ttabel = 2.042 shows a positive and significant relationship. b) Regression equation . c) The determination test is known to have an effect of 30.91%. d) Test the hypothesis obtained Fcalculate = 14.014 > Ftable = 3.32 then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. The study concluded that there was a positive and significant influence between the Auditory Intelectually Repetition (AIR) learning model on the motivation to learn Christian Religious Education and Ethics of grade IX students of SMP Negeri 2 Sumbul Learning Year
