Abstract

General Background: In the context of globalization and digital transformation, employee performance has become a critical determinant of organizational effectiveness, particularly in the food logistics sector that supports national food security. Specific Background: At BULOG Subdivre Surabaya Utara, challenges related to employee motivation, remuneration fairness, and adaptation to a changing work environment indicate the need for evidence-based human resource management strategies. Knowledge Gap: Although prior studies have examined compensation and work environment separately, limited empirical research has simultaneously analyzed their relative and combined effects on employee performance within public food logistics organizations. Aims: This study aims to analyze the influence of salary and work environment on employee performance at BULOG Subdivre Surabaya Utara. Results: Using a quantitative approach and multiple linear regression analysis of survey data, the findings reveal that both salary and work environment have positive and statistically significant effects on employee performance, with the work environment showing a stronger contribution. Novelty: This study provides sector-specific empirical evidence highlighting the dominant role of non-financial factors alongside compensation in a strategic public logistics institution. Implications: The findings imply that management should balance fair remuneration systems with continuous improvements in physical and psychosocial work conditions to sustainably improve employee performance and organizational outcomes. Highlights: The work environment plays a more dominant role than salary in shaping employee performance. Fair compensation remains essential to sustain motivation and productivity. Integrated human resource strategies are crucial for performance improvement in public food logistics organizations. Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has transformed marketing communication strategies from conventional methods to digital-based marketing through social media. Instagram has become one of the most widely used platforms by businesses to promote products and establish relationships with consumers. This study aims to analyze the influence of content quality and brand awareness on purchase intention toward Batik Puspita products among Generation Z in Pacitan Regency. A quantitative approach with explanatory research design was employed. The sample consisted of 156 Generation Z respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results revealed that content quality and brand awareness simultaneously exerted a positive and significant effect on purchase intention, with an F-value of 325.404 and a significance level below 0.001. Partially, content quality had a positive and significant effect on purchase intention with a regression coefficient of 0.625 and a t-value of 10.184. Brand awareness also had a positive and significant effect on purchase intention with a regression coefficient of 0.360 and a t-value of 5.239. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.810 indicates that content quality and brand awareness account for 81% of the variation in purchase intention. These findings suggest that improving content quality and strengthening brand awareness through Instagram can significantly increase Generation Z’s purchase intention toward Batik Puspita products.

Abstract

Employee productivity is one of the key determinants of organizational success in achieving corporate objectives. This study aims to analyze the effect of workload and work discipline on employee productivity at CV. Wahana Sejahtera Food, Jombang Regency, both partially and simultaneously. The study employs a quantitative approach with a causal associative research design. The research sample consisted of 131 production division employees selected through proportionate stratified random sampling. Data were collected using a Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed through validity testing, reliability testing, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination using IBM SPSS Statistics version 30. The results indicate that workload and work discipline have a positive and significant effect on employee productivity, both partially and simultaneously. Furthermore, both variables are capable of explaining a portion of the variation in employee productivity, while the remainder is influenced by other factors beyond the scope of this study. These findings suggest that workload aligned with employee capacity, along with strong work discipline, plays an important role in enhancing employee productivity at CV.
