Abstract

This article aims to find out how the Qur'anic guidance on the role of parents in building the child's character and review it through the psychology view. Translation of the meaning of the Quranic verses cited using the method of Tafsir Maudhu'i. The result of the discussion found that there are three responsibilities of parents in building the child's personality in the Qur'an, 1) Responsibility of faith education, contained in the QS. At-Tahrim [66]: 6; 2) Responsibility of morals education, contained in the QS. Luqman [31] verse 18-19; 3) The Responsibility of intellectual education, contained in the QS. Ash-Shaffat [37] verse 102. This concept is reinforced by the theory of developmental psychology that believes that a child's final outcome is determined by three things: parent factors, educational factors, and environmental factors

Abstract

This community service aims to enhance the capacity of women in managing funeral rites in Lima Puluh Kota Regency, West Sumatra. Through a series of training sessions conducted in six locations, this program is designed to empower women to be more confident and skilled in performing funeral management tasks according to Islamic law. The methods include lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on practice, enabling participants to understand and practically apply the necessary skills. The results of the community service show a significant improvement in the participants' technical skills and confidence, as well as a positive change in women's active participation in religious activities within the community. Additionally, this training successfully shifted societal perceptions of women's roles, recognizing them as capable and important in funeral management. In conclusion, this program not only contributes to women's empowerment but also to the development of a more inclusive and empowered community. The program has the potential to be replicated in other regions with similar cultural contexts, thereby broadening its impact on women's empowerment and community capacity building.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the relationship between Islam, multiculturalism, and Pancasila within the Indonesian context. The primary focus of this research is how the integration of Islam Wasatiyah - which emphasizes moderation and tolerance - with Pancasila as the state ideology can maintain social harmony amid diversity. Using a critical analytical method, this study finds that the synergy between Islam Wasatiyah and Pancasila strengthens social cohesion and prevents polarization caused by radicalism and identity politics. Furthermore, multicultural education and interfaith dialogue are identified as strategic instruments in promoting tolerance and preserving social stability. The research recommends strengthening multicultural-based education and promoting the values of Islamic moderation to address the challenges of radicalism in Indonesia.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the relevance of the multicultural values contained in the Medina Charter within the context of contemporary Islamic politics. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative approach, involving a literature review on the Medina Charter and political policies in majority-Muslim countries that adopt pluralistic values. Data collection was conducted through library research, which included reviewing primary texts and academic studies on multiculturalism in Islamic politics. The analysis was carried out using content analysis to understand how the multicultural values in the Medina Charter can be applied in modern politics. The results show that the Medina Charter offers relevant solutions to address the challenges of multiculturalism, particularly in terms of social justice, equal rights, and religious freedom. This research concludes that the values within the Medina Charter can serve as a foundation for political reform in Muslim-majority countries, emphasizing intergroup dialogue and inclusive policies that respect diversity. Thus, the Medina Charter can serve as a model for Islamic politics in the era of globalization, capable of creating a more just and harmonious society.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of altruism values based on Hadith in extracurricular activities at Madrasah Aliyah Tiga Batur, Limapuluh Kota. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study method, allowing the researcher to explore the application of altruism values in-depth within the specific context of the madrasah. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis, then analyzed using Hassan Hanafi's hermeneutic approach to understand the Hadith in its social and historical context and its relevance in the current educational situation. The results of the study show that extracurricular activities at Madrasah Aliyah Tiga Batur have successfully internalized altruism values through various specially designed programs, such as social activities and environmental care clubs. In conclusion, the integration of altruism values in these extracurricular activities is not only effective in shaping students' empathetic and caring character but can also serve as a model for other educational institutions that wish to instill Islamic values in the daily lives of their students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the practice of journalism in the extracurricular activities at MAN 2 Tanah Datar. Using a constructivist paradigm, the research adopts a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews with supervisors and participants of the journalism extracurricular activity, direct observation of journalistic practices, and analysis of journalistic works produced by the students. Supporting data were obtained through literature reviews and online searches to provide a theoretical context. The findings reveal the processes involved in news production and dissemination within the extracurricular activity, highlighting the challenges faced and the social interactions between participants, supervisors, and other stakeholders. Data analysis was conducted interactively, beginning with data reduction, systematic presentation, and concluding with key insights validated through triangulation methods. This study provides a comprehensive understanding of how journalistic culture is developed and practiced within an educational institution, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and overcoming barriers in nurturing student journalistic competencies.
